A novel series of 4-arylthio- or 4-arylsulfonyl-substituted 2-amino-5,6,7,8- tetrahydroquiazolines was synthesized and evaluated for serotonin receptor subtype 6 (5-HT6R) antagonistic effects in vitro. The structure activity relationships (SAR) of this series were discussed on the basis of in vitro activity. Among the derivatives synthesized in the present study, the lead compound, 7a, having sulfonyl functionality at the 4-position and N-methylpiperazine at the 2-position of the core structure showed the most potent 5-HT6 receptor inhibitory activity in vitro and good metabolic stability without CYP liability.

We consider a network of globally coupled neuronal oscillators subject to random force and investigate numerically dynamic responses to an external periodic driving force. The order parameter, which measures the overlap between the configuration of the system and the embedded patterns, is found to exhibit stochastic resonance behavior, as manifested by the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). The optimal noise level at which the SNR reaches its maximum is found to depend on the driving frequency. On the other hand, as the randomness in the driving amplitude is increased, the system undergoes a transition from a memory-retrieval state to a mixed-memory one. The noise effects on the temporal-association state in the absence of an external periodic driving force are also investigated, revealing a similar noise-enhanced resonance. 본 연구에서는 온곳 결합 떨개(globally coupled oscillator)로 이루어진 신경 그물얼개(neural network)에서 마구잡이 힘(random force)을 고려한 외부의 주기적 몰이(external periodic driving)에 대한 동역학적 반응(dynamic response)을 시늉내기를 통해 조사한다. 질서 맺음변수(order parameter)는 이 신경 그물얼개의 짜임새(configuration)와 저장된 무늬(pattern)사이의 겹치기(overlap)를 측정하는데, 이는 신호대잡음비(signal-to-noise ratio)를 통해 확률적 껴울림(stochastic resonance) 거동을 보여준다. 신호대잡음비를 최대로 하는 잡음 세기(noise level)는 외부몰이의 떨기수에 의존한다. 반면에 몰이 세기의 마구잡이 정도가 증가함에 따라 계는 기억 재생(memory-retrieval) 상태에서 혼합 기억(mixed-memory) 상태로 전이를 한다. 뿐만 아니라, 외부의 주기적 몰이가 없을 때에도 시간 연상(temporal-association) 상태에서 잡음에 의해 향상된(noise-enhanced) 껴울림이 일어난다.

Mesoporous tinoxide (SnO₂) as anode materials for Li-ion battery were prepared by hydrothermal method and templating method using SBA-15 as template. And electrochemical properties of SnO₂ electrode were investigated with cyclic voltammogram (CV). The morphology and structures of SnO₂ were characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and X-ray diffractometer (XRD), respectively. The specific surface area was defined by N₂ adsorption with BET(Brunauer-Emmett-Teller) method. As a result, the surface area of mesoporous SnO₂ which was made from templating method is higher than the case of using hydrothermal method. In addition, in anodic performance, mesoporous SnO₂ which is prepared by templating method showed higher charge-discharge capasity compared to hydrothermal method and exhibited excellent stability over the entire cycle number. It was indicated that electrochemical performances of mesoporous SnO₂mainly affected to the structural features, such as specific surface area and porosity.
