The curved hull plates forming process of the ship production processes is performed by experienced workers and is considered as a bottle neck. However, there is no case to use the developed automated forming system in the field. In this paper, the causal problem to the weird situation in the field is analyzed and formed so that improper actions to the requests, which are the inevitable of the curved hull plates forming process, of upgrading the subsystems and of replacing some subsystems with new or enhanced technology are to be prevented. Especially, the maintenance problem by next developers arises from the lack of system design consistency. In order to solve the maintenance problem from the system design inconsistency, the axiomatic design with the independence axiom and the information axiom is used to design the automated curved hull plates forming system. Proposed design of the automated curved hull plates forming system using the axiomatic design is implemented by a prototype of the automated curved hull plates forming system. From the review of the verification of the implemented prototype, the proposed design could have a role in an alternative to solve the problem. We expect that the proposed design method could be a useful design approach to the automated system design in the shipbuilding domain.

In order to improve productivity and efficiency of ship production process, production technology converged with Information Technology can be considered. Mid-term scheduling based on long-term schedule of ship building and execution planning based on short-term production schedule have an important role in ship production processes and techniques. However, data used in the scheduling are from the experiences of the past, cognitive, and often inaccurate, moreover the updates of the data by formatted documents are not being performed efficiently. This paper designs the tracking and monitoring system for the curved plates forming process with shop level. At first step to it, we redefine and analyze the curved plates forming process by using SysML. From the definition and analysis of the curved plates forming process, we design the system with respect to operational view considering operational environment and interactions between systems included and scenario about operation, and with respect to system view considering functionalities and interfaces of the system. In order to study the feasibility of the system designed, a prototype of the system has been implemented with 13.56 MHz RFID hardware and application software.

Accurate block shape assessment is critical for ship manufacturing and a careful assessment of the shape of a fabricated block against the design shape is a core issue. However, in current fabrication practice, the shape of each block is evaluated manually using rigid body transformation. This manual evaluation process entirely depends on workers" experiences and knowledge and makes automation of block shape assessment difficult. In this paper we propose a computation method on the registration for shape assessment of a block during the fabrication process and for evaluation of its completion against the design shape. We test our method using a real block quality assessment data to demonstrate its applicability to real ship manufacturing process.

21세기에 들어서 산업융합은 기업에 있어서 가장 혁신적이고 필수적인 패러다임으로 자리잡고 있다. 본 연구에서는 산업융합 개념을 정리하고 보다 체계적인 산업융합기술 관리와 발굴을 위한 모델을 제안하고자 한다. 이 모델(Generic Industrial Classification System(GICS))은 산업을 3가지 요소로 분리하여 모든 산업분야에 정의하였으며 범용적으로 사용할 수 있는 분류체계와 결과들의 우선 순위를 평가할 수 있는 체계를 포함하고 있다. 사용자는 GICS 분류체계를 통해 예상할 수 있는 모든 산업융합 후보군을 도출할 수 있으며 도출된 후보군은 GICS 평가체계를 이용하여 시기별로 현실성, 시장성 등에 의해 정리된 최종 결과를 얻을 수 있다. 본 개념은 체계적인 관리와 융합 방안을 담고 있으므로 산업융합을 총괄하는 정부기관이나 단체로의 적용이 가능 할 것으로 기대된다.

Most of the shipbuilding scheduling researches so far have been conducted with stress on the dock plan. That is due to the fact that the dock is the least extendable resource in shipyards and its overloading is difficult to resolve. However, once the dock scheduling is completed, it is also important to make a plan that make the best use of the rest of the resources in the shipyard, so that any additional cost is minimized. This study automates block allocation process by analyzing the existing manual process that designates production bays for the blocks during the midterm planning. Also, a planning scenario validation method is suggested, where block allocation scenarios based on diagrams are edited and simulated.

현재까지 조선 일정 계획과 관련한 연구는 주로 도크를 중심으로 이루어져 왔다. 도크가 조선소에서 가장 확장성이 떨어지는 자원으로 과부하 발생 시 해결이 어렵기 때문이다. 하지만 도크와 관련한 일정 계획이 완료된 이후에는 조선소의 자원을 최대한 활용하여 추가적인 비용이 발생하지 않도록 나머지 부분을 계획 하는 것 또한 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 조선 중일정 계획 중 조립 블록의 생산 공장(정반)을 지정하는 블록 배량 계획 과정의 분석을 통해, 블록 배량 계획을 자동화 하였다. 또한 다이어그램 기반의 블록 배량 시나리오 편집 및 시뮬레이션을 통해 계획 시나리오의 검증 방법을 제시하였다.
