        Active and Reactive Power Control of ESS in Distribution System for Improvement of Power Smoothing Control

        This paper proposes a new control technique of energy storage system (ESS) for smoothing the active power of renewable energy sources (RES) such as photovoltaic and wind turbine generation. As the penetration of RES into grid increases, it is difficult to maintain the permissible level of power quality, that is, voltage and frequency fluctuation in power systems. To solve this problem, ESS control methods using low pass filter (LPF) have been proposed for mitigating the fluctuation of RES output. However, those have a lot of drawbacks which need to be supplemented. Hence, this paper presents the improved active power control with additional reactive power control for maintaining power quality properly. The proposed method minimizes the capacity of ESS to be required for smoothing RES output fluctuation through mitigation of phase delay problem in LPF. In addition, the voltage regulation improves by using additional reactive power control. The proposed method was verified through simulation analysis using PSCAD/EMTDC.

        There was no a difference of genetic analysis among methods(means, joint scaling test, 3 Parameter model) . The magnitude of additive effects generally paralleled the magnitude of difference between parental means and appeared to be more independent from non-allelic interaction than did dominance effects, whereas the magnitude of dominance effects were inflated by non-allelic interaction. Additive effects were significant for all characteristics observed and it was a major effects in inheritance of number of leaves. Dominance effects were higher than additive effects for plant height, days to flower, flesh leaf weight per plant, curing rate, total alkaloid and total nitrogen.

        Product-Resolved Photodissociations of Iodotoluene Radical Cations

        Photodissociations of o-, m-, and p-iodotoluene radical cations were investigated by using Fourier-transform ion cyclotron resonance (FT-ICR) spectrometry. Iodotoluene radical cations were prepared in an ICR cell by a photoionization charge-transfer method. The time-resolved one-photon dissociation spectra were obtained at 532 nm and the identities of C 7 H 7 + products were determined by examining their bimolecular reactivities toward toluene-d 8 . The two-photon dissociation spectra were also recorded in the wavelength range 615-670 nm. The laser power dependence, the temporal variation, and the identities of C 7 H 7 + were examined at 640 nm. The mechanism of unimolecular dissociation of iodotoluene radical cations is elucidated: the lowest barrier rearrangement channel leads exclusively to the formation of the benzyl cation, whereas the direct C-I cleavage channel yields the tolyl cations that rearrange to both benzyl and tropylium cations with dissimilar branching ratios among o-, m-, and p-isomers. With a two-photon energy of 3.87 eV at 640 nm, the direct C-I cleavage channel results in the product branching ratio, [tropylium cation]/[benzyl cation], in descending order, 0.16 for meta > 0.09 for ortho > 0.05 for para.

Additive effects were significant for all characteristics observed and those of leaf width and leaf shape index of lugs, cutter and leaf and leaf width of tips were higher than dominance effects. Non-allelic gene interaction was expressed in leaf length of lugs, cutter and tips and heterosis of these characters were lower than the other characters.

        $L_5$/$S_1$ 추간판 탈출의 단순X선 소견과 $L_5$/$S_1$ 추간판강 협소의 의미

        To set up the criteria determining the significant plain radiographic finding suggesting L5/S1 disc space narrowing, a retrospective roentgenographic study was caried out 23 patient having surgically-confirmed L5/S1 disc herniation between 18 and 57 years old. Considering the unique structural and functional characteristics, normal and pathological anatomy of the lumbosacral junction was also reviewed briefly. This paper also re-evaluated and re-lightened the importance to interprete plain lumbosacral roentgenogram more carefully and accurately. For it will certainly serve as the initial screening method to identify the region of concern for the recently thriving Spine Computed Tomography for rapid, non-invasive, effective diagnosis of the universal disaster-lumbar disc herniation. We have obtained the following conclusions; 1. The method to interpret as "positive" L5/S1 disc space narrowing when the central height of L5/S2 disc space is reduded below th central height of L3/4 showed the highest correlation (approximately 70%) with disc herniation, especially in the lower age group below forty (76.9%) 2. The diagnostic significance of L5\ulcornerS1 disc space narrowing as a roentgen sign suggesting L5/S1 disc herniation is increasing as the more following items are satisfied; a. When the long-standing symptom and neurologic signs suspecting S1 nerve root compression or irritation are present. b. When the patient is among the lower age group, such as below forty. c. When there is no vertebral lesion causing spinal instability. d. When there are additional findings suggesting L5/S1 disc herniation, especially if they are limited at L5/S1 level. 3. Other conditions having L5/S1 disc space narrowing are the anatomically narrow lumbosacral junction with or without transitional vertebra, the infectious narrowing, the degenerative narrowing without disc herniation, and the isolated disc herniation. Those can be usually differentiated from L5/S1 disc herniation by their different clinical features and plain radiographic findings. findings.

        The Joint curing barns for flue-cured tobacco is a favorite with the tobacco farmers in Korea. However, most of farmer utilizing the joint curing barns indicated many problems such as high temperature and noise in the working room and a dry of cured leaves in the storage room. A structure of Joint curing barns has been modified to meet the needs of tobacco farmers. Compared with the unimproved joint curing barns, the improved one showed that the noise of workshop decreased about 7.7~10.8db, the amount of $CO_2$ decreased 40~50ppm in a working room and 80~100ppm in a machine room. Ammonia gas decreased 0.29mg/㎥ and the temperature of a working room dropped about 2.1~3.5$^{\circ}C$. The amount of air flow in a working room increased 23.2% at a site being 2m away from the entrance and 30.8% at a center. The inner temperature of the improved storage room showed that maximum temperature dropped about 3$^{\circ}C$, minimum temperature was high about 2$^{\circ}C$. The highest relative humidity was low 6%, the lowest one increased high about 10% when compared with the unimproved joint curing barns.

      • 종자피복용 binder 점도와 피복후 저장기간이 종자의 발아에 미치는 영향

        In order to improve the sowing practice, pelleted seeds of tobacco NC 82(Nicotiana tobacco L.) were manufactured in use of binders at the different levels of viscosity, and their physical properties according to pellet size and biological activity in seed germination were investigated while storage time elapsed. Proper range of the binder viscosity for the pellet formation was 20.3-37.2 m.pas. At the high level of viscosity(45.7 m.pas) took longer time to form the pellet and pelleting was not easy. The high binder viscosity and large pellet size revealed higher level in hardness of the pelleted tobacco seeds, which caused the longer splitting time of pellets in water. High level of binder viscosity(37.2 m.pas) in pelleted seeds led to decrease the biological activity of tobacco seed germination by the storage at 4 t over 30 days. But at the level of 20.3m.pas in binder viscosity, the germination of pelleted seeds was little affected by the long storage time to 120 days.

        In order to improve the efficiency of F$_1$ hybrid seeds production(KF 114), some experiments were carried out in a greenhouse this year. Mother plant(MSNC567) and pollen plant(NC) were grown in some pots (30 x 30cm, WxH). The gathered pollens were mixed with celite, pollen deluent dusts and stored in refrigerator at l$0^{\circ}C$ before pollination. To establish the critical range of the mixed rate and the storage period of pollens, the change in a percent of capsule set, number of seed and seed weight per capsule, weight of 1000 seeds and germination percent of seed resulted of pollination with pollen deluent dusts were investigated. The results are as follows; Percent of capsule set showed the mixed rate 1:5 resulted in no difference and those of 1:10 and 1:20 decreased about 5 ~15% when compared with trials using pollen alone. There was no difference among duration of storage in a same mixed rate. Numbers of seed per capsule showed a significant difference among the mixed rates and among durations of storage. Numbers of seed per capsule were decreased about 55 ~ 90 % as the mixed rate increase, about 2 ~ 28 % as the duration of storage increase. Weight of seed per capsule decreased about 16 ~ 23 % as the duration increase and decreased about 3 ~ 89 % as the mixed rate increase when compared with trials using pollen alone. Weight of 1000 seeds showed non significant difference among duration of storage but were higher than trials used pollen alone as the mixed rate increase.
