A material surface treatment can be divided two parts, such as shot peening and shot blasting. shot peening is a method of using the residual compression stress in order to enhance the material surface. Many studies relevant to the shot peening have been conducted, for instance, the shape design of shot ball, the residual stress prediction, and the effect of material properties of the shot ball to the residual stress on the other hand, the shot blasting is a way of polishing the material surface, which is quite similar to the shot blasting, but its purpose is different. It has been also studied by many researchers. In this paper, the shot blasting process is simulated for layered steel structures to find out the optimal design parameters. The parametric study shows that it is possible to improve the process used to industry.

A shot blasting process is to improve the surface quality of stainless steels. The process is similar to a well-known shot peening that is used to strengthen the surface via the residual stress. In the shot blasting process, it is important to decide many parameters, such as the size, incident angle and velocity of shot balls, to effectively get rid of the iron oxide on the surface of stainless steels. In this study, the simulation of the shot blasting process is carried out by a finite element software, which can help to find out the optimal design parameters to cause the delamination of the iron oxide from the stainless steel substrate. The results obtained are also compared to those of the discrete element method to verify them.

Falling related injuries are categorized as the most serious and common medical problems experienced by the elderly. Hip joint fracture, one of the most serious consequences of falling in the elderly, occurs in only about 1% of falling. In this study, according to the loading conditions, the analysis is the behavior of thefemur. The CT images using the commercial program "Mimics" the bones of three-dimensional CAD data generated, and we will analyze the results of finite element analysis. The boundary conditions on the basis of existing research has been simplified. In this paper, the whole femur was assumed to be isotropic linear elastic material. Predicted the behavior of the femur according to the loading condition, it can be help the development of high-precision artificial bones and joints can be treated with surgery and will be able to perform efficiently.

Generally, instrument transformer of the core type have been used for measuring current. Because instrument transformer has defects, electronic instrument was appeared. Electronic instrument has many merit-linearity, small size, low cost, etc. Rogowski coil is typical electronic CT and R-divider is typical electronic VT. This paper is introduced a basic concept and theory of electronic current transformer, electronic voltage transformer.

The principle of the ultra-high frequency (UHF) method to detect partial discharge(PD) in GIS is to measure the UHF electromagnetic waves excited by PD pulses. Such electromagnetic waves propagate along the GIS busbar in the TEM-mode, TE-mode, TM-mode. And the coaxial busbar of the GIS acts as a waveguide in which the UHF electromagnetic waves travel. This paper was studied the analysis on damping characteristic of electromagnetic waves excited by PD in GIS and presented the method to yield the cutoff frequency for determine the minimum band of sensor that detect the PD pulse.
배전용변압기의 소음저감을 위한 진동주파수의 스펙트럼분석

This paper analyze spectrum of vibration-frequencies to reduce noise level of d transformer. Using loading back method on same condition of real load to grasp th core and winding which are caused by the transformer vibration. We were mea vibration-frequency by varing appiled voltage and load current of a transformer. cause of a transformer vibration is occured by the harmonic effects, and was identifi vibration is less influenced by the coil. As the result of this paper, comparing the transformer with some isolated materi general transformer, the transformer with some isolated material could reduc amplitude of vibration-frequencies.
