Commercially available paint with excellent heat-insulation property

The heat island phenomenon is a caused by the heat of the buildings, the road surface, the vehicle, etc., and the temperature is raised. Therefore, this phenomenon occurs mainly in summer and urban areas. In order to solve this heat island phenomenon, insulating paint is emerging as a recent issue. The insulating paint has a great effect on energy reduction because it has excellent heat shielding properties from the infrared range of solar heat. For that reason, regardless of changes in environment condition, the painted buildings can keep the maintain a comfortable environment indoors and help reduce energy consumption for both heating and air-cooling systems. Here, the paint developed by us show excellent heat shielding properties compared with general paint. In addition, the development paints can save energy more efficiently by showing lower surface temperature than other commercialized insulating paints.

Our ultimate goal of this study is to form a monolayer of plasmonic anisotropic gold nanoparticles on the surface of disposable plastics via chemical processes to use LSPR sensor. The process creates hydroxyl group by method of plasma cleaning or piranha treatment, subsequently substitute hydroxyl groups for Amine functions by using amino silane solution. Then, the surface is coated with the gold nanoparticles. For the plasmonic gold nanoparticles, gold bipyramids (Au BPs) and gold nanorods (Au NRs) with a surfactant, cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) bilayer were employed. Then, their surfaces were modified with methoxy polyethylene glycol thiol (mPEG-SH). Based on these plasmonic gold nanoparticle substrates, we have investigated adsorption sensitivity and kinetics of self-assembly of thiolated organic molecules.

본 논문에서는 자동화설비에서 가장 많이 사용되는 근접센서와 실린더를 기준으로 두 가지 모델을 적용하여 "고장허용 시스템 구축"에 관한 연구를 진행하였다. Free Flow 컨베이어 상에서 센서의 고장발생 시 가상센서모드 (Virtual Sensor Mode)로 전환되어 정상동작 하는 것을 시뮬레이션을 통해 구현을 하였으며, 실린더의 내압(압력강하)을 이용하여 실린더의 동작 시 부하에 따른 아날로그 데이터변화를 확인함으로써 고장허용 시스템을 다양하게 적용할 수 있는 토대를 마련하였다. 이러한 방법은 실린더의 수명예상은 물론 Grease 주입예상시기와 실린더의 불량유무판단 등 개발자의 능력에 따라 여러 가지 응용이 가능할 것이라 생각된다. In this paper, I studied the "Establishment of Fault Tolerant System" as well as the sensor and cylinder that are general components being used in automation equipments. I design a system that when the sensor breaks down on free flow conveyor, it will be converted to virtual sensor system mode by simulation, also I design IPC(Internal Pressure Cylinder), a basis of various applicable fault tolerant system by analyzing the changing of analog data according to the load of operation. With IPC and the increasing ability of developer, the Fault Tolerant System will be widely applied in the increasment of service time of cylinder, grease pouring time expection, fault recognition of cylinder and etc.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate the anti-obesity effects of the aqueous extract of Schizandra chinensis (SC) in menopausal mice. Methods: To induce menopausal obesity, female mice were ovariectomized (OVX) and fed a high-fat diet (HFD; 60% fat, 28% carbohydrates, 14% protein) for 12 weeks. The mice were divided into 6 groups (n = 8): NOR (sham-operated and vehicle-treated), HFD+OVX (vehicle-treated), E2 (17-beta estradiol 50 μg/kg-treated), SC1 (1 mg/kg SC-treated), SC10 (10 mg/kg SC-treated), and SC100 (100 mg/kg SC-treated). Samples were orally administered for 6 weeks, after which all experimental mice were sacrificed. Body weight, feeding efficiency, white adipose tissue weight, adipocyte diameter, and fat vacuoles in liver were analyzed. Results: By treating with SC extract, the body weight and feeding efficiency of mice were significantly decreased. The weight of visceral fat tissues was decreased in the SC10 and SC100 groups. Histopathology showed that fat cell diameters of white adipose tissue were also decreased in the SC10 and SC100 groups. Additionally, SC extract regenerated the hepatocyte damage and decreased the size and number of follicular adipocytes Conclusion: In summary, these results suggest that SC has inhibitory effects against menopausal obesity. Schizandra chinensis may be a potential alternative for obesity among female menopausal diseases.

Installed in the rear side of an automobile, the rear trailing arm absorbs the external forces inflicted on the tire and thereby improves the ride quality. High strength and durability are prerequisite to the rear trailing arm and each automobile maker has its own evaluation method. This paper has adopted the approach of a numerical analysis in order to figure out a method for strength analysis and for performance enhancement of the rear trailing arm. The rubber bush fitted into the rear trailing arm can be described by use of solid elements. However, this approach requires modeling and analyzing, and therefore is time-consuming. For that reason, we have decided to formulate a finite element model using 1D element. 1D element has been expressed in stiffness of each direction. Its reliability has been confirmed by the comparison of the tests and the analyses. In addition, since the rear trailing arm absorbs the buckling impact while an automobile is in motion, we have appraised the quality of the currently mass-produced products through the test of the buckling impact on and the analysis of the strength of a unit.
