Purpose - The purpose of current study is to investigate the determinants of quality of life in Chungbuk province using Korean longitudinal study aging data. Design/methodology/approach - This study used quality of life and perceived healthiness as the dependent variables. This study selected perceived healthiness, economic participation, annual travel frequency, religion, and fellowship as the independent variables to account for quality of life. For the data analysis, this study implemented econometric analysis, which includes ordinary least square, one-way fixed effect, and feasible generalized least square. Findings - Perceived healthiness positively affected quality of life. Also, quality of life is positively influenced by economic participation and annual travel frequency. However, religion and fellowship appeared as non-significant attribute to account for quality of life. The results also present that perceived healthiness is positively influenced by economic participation, annual travel frequency, and fellowship. Research implications or Originality - Given the results, this offers the implication for the senior citizen welfare policy. This study also produced policy implication for local community.

주변 사막이 비옥한 들판으로 바뀌어 풍요를 누린 이집트는 그리스 역사가 헤로도토스의 '나일강의 선물'이란 표현이 잘 대변해 준다. B.C. 3000년경부터 강력한 파라오 통일왕국이 세계 최고의 문화와 문명을 창조해낸 곳이다. 나일강 최북단 하류 델타(The Nile Delta)지역은 알렉산더 대왕(BC 356~323)이 B.C. 332년 이집트를 점령한 후 건설한 알렉산드리아 도시로 유명하다. 알렉산드리아는 지중해 무역을 중개하고 오리엔탈 지역을 점령하는 거점으로서도 매우 중요한 의미가 있다. 역사적으로 유대인과의 연관성이 깊어 디아스포라 유대인 밀집 지역 중 하나였으며, 일찍이 기독교와 수도원운동이 일어났던 지역이다. 세계최초로 수도원운동을 시작한 이집트 승려들의 명성은 주변 지역인 팔레스타인, 시리아, 페르시아는 물론 유럽과 아시아에까지 퍼졌다. 또한, 그들은 이들 지역으로 건너가 선교운동에도 영향을 주었다. 본 연구는 A.D. 10세기 이슬람 파티마 왕조시대 이집트교회를 위기에서 구한 비(非) 성직자인 성 시므온(Saint Samaan)의 삶에 대한 것이다. 지극히 작은 자요 평범한 시므온의 삶과 사역이 당시 이슬람 통치하에 있던 이집트교회가 존폐 위기에서 생존할 수 있었던 요인으로 보고, 이집트교회 수도원운동의 선교적 함의와 수도사적 삶이 주는 그 영향을 고찰하는 것이 본 연구의 목적이다. 본 연구를 통해 교회 밖을 향해 신뢰도가 낮은 한국교회에 시므온의 수도사적 삶이 어떤 교훈을 주기에 충분할 것으로 기대한다. 본 연구는 국내 연구에서 거의 다루지 않은 A.D. 10세기 이집트 파티마 왕조 시대의 성 시므온의 삶과 사역을 다루었다는 점이 연구의 기여한 점이다. 앞으로 이집트 수도원운동의 영성과 하나님의 선교운동과 연관해서 활발한 연구가 이루어지기를 기대한다. 본 연구에서 이집트의 카이로 시내 동쪽 작은 산 중턱에 있는 모카탐(Mokattam) 성 시므온 동굴교회에서 발행한 ‘성 시므온의 전기’ 소책자를 중심으로 고찰한다. Egypt, which enjoyed abundance by turning the surrounding desert into the fertile fields, is well represented by Greek historian Herodotus' expression of the Gift of the Nile. Since around 3000 B.C. the powerful Pharaohs unified kingdom has created the world's best culture and civilization. The northernmost downstream region of the Nile River is famous for being the city of Alexandria, built by Alexander the Great (BC 356-323) after capturing Egypt in 332 B.C. Alexandria had also of great importance as a base for mediating of Mediterranean trade and occupying the Oriental region. Historically, it has been one of the densely populated areas of diaspora Jews due to its deep connection with Jews, and it was an area where Christianity and monasticism took place earlier. The reputation of Egyptian monks, who started the monastic movement for the first time in the world, spreaded to the surrounding areas of Palestine, Syria, and Persia, as well as Europe and Asia. In addition, they crossed into these areas and influenced the missionary movement. This study examines the life of St. Simon, a lay ascetic person who saved the Egyptian church from crisis during the Islamic Fatimid Dynasty in the 10th century AD. The purpose of this study is to consider the life and ministry of the very small and ordinary Simon as a factor that allowed the Egyptian church under Islamic rule to survive the crisis of existence, and to examine the missionary implications of the Egyptian church monastic movement and its impact on monastic life. Through this study, it is expected that Simon's monastic life will be sufficient to teach a certain lesson to Korean churches with low reliability outside the church. The contribution of this study is that it deals with the life and ministry of Saint Simon during the 10th century AD of Egyptian Fatimid Dynasty, which is rarely covered in domestic studies in Korea. It is expected that active research will be conducted in connection with the spirituality of the Egyptian monastery movement and the missionary movement of God. In this study, we will focus on the booklet Biography of Saint Simon published by Saint Simon Cave Church in Mokattam, a small mountain midway east of Cairo, Egypt.

영어티칭 세미나를 통한 수단/남수단 난민의 일자리 창출 사례연구: 국내 난민이주자에게 적용 가능성 모색

본 연구는 영어교습연구소(English Teaching Institute for Missions-이하 ETI)에서 실시한 영어티칭 세미나를 통해 이집트에 거주하는 수단 난민과 남수단 난민들의 영어 교사 취업을 다루었다. 1년 전 이집트에서 ETI 세미나가 개최되었다. 한국인, 이집트인, 수단/남수단 난민들에게 ETI 세미나가 제공되었다. 지금까지 총 18명의 수단/남수단 난민 영어교육 교사가 이 과정을 수료하였다. 수단/남수단 난민 수료자들은 교회 주일학교, 유치원, 난민 센터 영어교실, 아프리카 난민학교와 개인 과외 교사 등 다양한 분야의 영어 교사로 일자리를 얻고 있다. 나아가, ETI 영어교육 교사 수료증은 이집트 사회에서 생존할 수 있는 동력을 얻는다. 더 많은 난민이 ETI 세미나를 받게 될 것이다. 더 많은 영어교육 교사를 배출하여 그들의 미래를 개척할 수 있도록 도울 것이다. 그들은 난민 자녀의 미래를 준비해야 하는 큰 사명이 있다. 이집트에서 수단/남수단 난민의 미래는 불확실하다. 이러한 이유로 인해 ETI 영어교육 교사 세미나의 정체성과 역할은 매우 크다고 할 수 있다. 이러한 ETI 영어교육 교사 세미나는 국내의 난민, 특히 이주민에게 쉽게 적용될 수 있다. ETI 세미나가 국내의 난민 이주민에게 자신의 미래를 개척하는데 도움이 될 가능성을 생각해 본다. 그들은 일자리를 확보함으로써 더욱 안정적인 삶을 살 수 있을 것이다. 그들이 안정적인 삶을 영위하면서 대한민국의 사회통합에 긍정적으로 협력하는 사람들이 될 것을 기대한다. 이런 측면에서 ETI 세미나가 국내의 난민이주자들이 사회 통합에 기여하도록 공헌할 수 있는 부분이다. This study dealt with the employment of Sudanese and South Sudanese refugees living in Egypt as English teachers through an English teaching seminar conducted by English Teaching Institute for Missions (ETI). An ETI seminar was held in Egypt one year ago. ETI seminars were provided to Koreans, Egyptians, and Sudanese/South Sudanese refugees. So far, a total of 18 Sudanese/South Sudanese refugee have completed the course. Sudanese/South Sudanese refugee graduates are employed as English teachers in various fields such as church Sunday schools, kindergartens, refugee center English classes, African refugee schools, and private teachers. Furthermore, the ETI English teaching certificate gains momentum to survive in Egyptian society. More refugees will be provided with ETI seminars. We will hopefully produce more English teachers so that we can pioneer their future. They have a big mission to prepare for the future of their refugee children. The future of Sudanese/South Sudanese refugees in Egypt is uncertain. For this reason, the identity and role of the ETI Seminar can be said to be very large. These ETI seminars can be easily applied to refugees in Korea, especially migrants as well. We think of the possibility that ETI seminars can help pioneer the future of refugees and migrants in Korea. They will be able to live more stable lives by securing jobs. They expect to become people who positively cooperate with the social integration program of the Republic of Korea while leading a stable life. This will be an aspect that ETI seminars can contribute to social integration.

The purpose of current research is to examine the determinants of switching intention and reuse intention in the area of ice cream store business. This research selects Baskin Robbins as the research target considering its market share in domestic ice cream business market. This study chooses price fairness, product variety, and delivery convenience as independent variables. The main instrument of this research is survey. This study collected the data using online survey, and the number of observation is 202. Frequency analysis and correlation matrix were used to analyze the data, This study peformed multiple regression analysis to test the hypotheses. Regarding the results, price fairness, product variety, and delivery convenience are positively associated with reuse intention. Moreover, switching intention is negatively influenced by only product variety, while price fairness and delivery convenience appeared as non-significant attributes. The results of this research is used to provide the information for the ice cream store business.
