        Today, fashion is a symbol of individuals' life, and a sign of social correlation of humans as well. It is an important means of expressing oneself and is affected by the social and cultural environment, too. People are creating another new lower culture, that is, their own unique new fashion through the coordination status of a lower culture and its components to reveal the visual symbol of such garments and body decorations most clearly. Mods fashion became the basic idea of fashion, the androgynous fashion of '90s and of a new fashion, unisex, in the composition type of fashion which overthrew the gender idea of man and woman. The hippie look typical of anti-fashion made culture give birth to a new idea in garments reversing the flow of vogue to go upward. The unique diversity of hippie look existed in blue jeans, esnic, nostalgia, sikidelic, latest mini and hipster and in all the styles which were affected by Mods and bit, free coordination which gives life to individual character as the wearer wishes. The fashion type based on the diversity of hippie look appeared as a neo-hippie look in '90s, which was recreated as an anti-Mods trend. Also the diversified coordination of the hippie look became a basis for the creation of another new style, Afrism. The Punk formed as an reaction to hippie appeared as the most unpleasant image to the established generations with their ultimate resisting action and new aesthetic-consciousness. Their coordination by the use of the disorder and stimulative tool which gives abhorrence appears again as Cyber Punk being influenced by optical art and multimedia in '90s. It can be seen that the form of lower culture mentioned above became a storehouse of new fashion creation through the most nuclear role of lower culture and the unique characteristic coordination by age and that each lower culture fashion can become a style icon of new fashion through free coordination.

        스트라이프 넥타이의 톤온톤 배색과 그 면적비가 남성복 이미지 지각에 미치는 영향 - 1 : 2 : 3 면적비 중심으로 -

        This study aims to characterize the efect of different combinations of colors and tone-area-ratio of stripe necktie, and gender on the image of male wearer. The experimental materials developed for this sist of 28 color pictures manipulated with every combination of 4 diferent colors and 7 different tone-area-ratio. The 7-point scale designed f o r v i s u a l e v a l u a t i o n o f i m a g e f o r m a t i o n i n c l u d e d 2 9 b i p o l a r a djectives. The subjects were 336 eas. The results of this study were as follows: The analyses of images of wearer in men's clothing in terms of colors and tone-area-ratio of oblique stripe necktie reveal that the concerned factors are of five characteristic dimensions of activity, ability, attractiveness, appeal, and warmness. In adition, it has been found that individual images of people in men's clothes are affected by observer's gender as wel as colors and tone-area-ratio of stripe neckties and that those images vary wThe study results are highly expected to be used as useful sources in developing necktie designs.

        Studying on the nature of materials is the important step to complete work in terms of selecting material as the field of expression of fabric art. Recently, Paper becomes one of new materials for formative arts. Intense research and various experiments on paper work made paper itself the fabric art. This work aims at understanding the function of paper and extending the area of material for hand-made paper. For this purose, it starts with the definition and history of paper using the previous publishing. It focuses on paper not as printing matter, but as expression matter to create new art, to be familiar with nature, and to recycle used paper. Finally, this work shows the unique characteristics of hand-made paper and the possibility of expression material through mixing of recycled pulp and natural plant and production process of hand-made paper. This work shows the possibility that paper works will be a new area of modern formative art. The experimental challenge and creative mind will extend the expression power of paper. The combined work of paper makers artists scientists and technicians will improve the artistic value of paper as u-ell as the preservation of paper work.

        신체이미지와 토털 패션이미지와의 관계

        본 연구에서는 의복, 메이크업, 헤어를 중심으로 하여 신체이미지와 토털 패션이미지와의 관계를 분석해 보고자 한다. 본 연구의 자료는 경남지역에 거주하는 성인여성 306명을 대상으로 2009년 6월에 수집되었다. 자료를 분석하기 위해서 빈도분석, F-검증, t-검증, Duncan검증, 요인분석, 신뢰도분석, 적률상관분석, 다중회귀분석이 사용되었다. 그에 따른 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 신체이미지를 요인분석한 결과 체중관심, 외모관심, 외모자신감으로 구성되었다. 의복이미지, 메이크업이미지, 헤어이미지를 요인분석한 결과 의복이미지는 품위성, 젊음, 현시성으로, 메이크업이미지는 현대성, 낭만성, 무난성으로, 헤어이미지는 매력성, 개성, 온유성, 귀염성으로 도출되었다. 인구통계적 변인에 따라 액세서리 착용과 화장 정도는 유의한 차이를 보였다. 신체이미지는 의복이미지, 메이크업이미지, 헤어이미지에서 많은 상관성이 있었으며, 신체이미지는 의복이미지, 메이크업이미지, 헤어이미지에 유의적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. This study aims to characterize the relationships between body image and total fashion image on clothing, make-up, and hair. The subjects of the study were 306 women who lived in Gyeongnam area. Data were collected during June in 2009. Statistical analysis used in this study were frequency, F-test, t-test, Duncan test, factor analysis, Cronbach`s α, correlation coefficient, and multiple regression. The results of this study were as follows. The body image according to the demographic characteristic of women showed significant difference. Three factors of body image were titled as interest in weight, interest in appearance, and confidence of body. Three factors of clothing image were titled as elegance, youth, and visibility. Three factors of make-up image were titled as modern, romanticism, and mediocrity. Four factors of hair image were titled as attraction, individuality, gentleness, and cuteness. The body image resulted in correlation with the clothing image, make-up image, and hair image. The body image had a influence on the clothing image, make-up image, and hair image.

        스트라이프 넥타이의 유채-무채 배색과 면적비가 남성복 착용자의 이미지 지각에 미치는 영향

        This study aims to characterize the effect of different combinations of chromatic-achromatic colors and area-ratio of stripe necktie, and gender on the image of male wearer. The experimental materials developed for this study are a set of stimuli and response scales. The stimuli consist of 84 color pictures manipulated with every combination of 12 different colors and 7 different area-ratio. The 7-point scale designed for visual evaluation of image formation included 26 bipolar adjectives. The subjects were 2016 undergraduate students in Gyeongnam, Seoul, Busan, and Daegu areas. The results of this study were as follows.; The analyses of images of male wearer in terms of combinations of chromatic-achromatic colors and area-ratio of oblique stripe necktie reveal that the concerned factors are of five characteristic dimensions of youth-activity, ability, attractiveness, appeal, and warmness. In addition, it has been found that individual images of male wearer are affected by observer`s gender as well as combinations of chromatic-achromatic colors and area-ratio of stripe neckties and that those images vary with every combination of each factor. The study results are highly expected to be used as useful sources in developing necktie designs.

        동일색조 코디네이션에 따른 넥타이의 감성이미지와 상호작용효과 -스트라이프 패턴의 1:2:3 면적비 변화를 중심으로-

        This study aims to characterize the sensibility image and interaction effect of striped necktie according to same-tone coordination and 1:2:3 area-ratio variation on the gender. The experimental materials developed for this study are a set of stimuli and response scales. The stimuli consist of 56 color pictures manipulated with every combination of 4 different colors, 2 different tones and 7 different area-ratio. The 7-point scale designed for visual evaluation of sensibility image included 26 bipolar adjectives. The subjects were 1344 undergraduate students in Gyeongnam, Seoul, Busan, and Daegu areas. The results of this study were as follows. The analyses of sensibility images in terms of same-tone coordination and 1:2:3 area-ratio variation of stripe necktie reveal that the concerned factors are of five characteristic dimensions of attractiveness, youth-activity, appeal, ability, and warmness. In the 5 factors of sensibility image, color combination and tone showed independent effect. In addition, significant interaction effects of area-ratio and tone on appeal and ability were found. Interaction effects of gender and area-ratio on youth-activity were found. Interaction effects of gender and tone on warmness were found. Interaction effects of color combination and tone on appeal and warmness were found. The study results are highly expected to be used as useful sources in developing men`s coordination.

        톤 온 톤 배색에 따른 줄무늬 넥타이의 시각적 효과

The 7-point scale designed for visual evaluation of image included 26 bipolar adjectives. The subjects were 1248 undergraduate students in Gyeongnam, Seoul, Busan, and Daegu areas. The results of this study were as follows. The analyses of images in terms of tone on tone combination and area-ratio variation of stripe necktie reveal that the concerned factors are of five characteristic dimensions of youth-activity, attractiveness, ability, appeal, and warmness. In the 5 factors of image, color showed independent effect. In addition, interaction effects of gender and color on appeal and warmness were found. Interaction effects of area-ratio and color on warmness were found. The study results are highly expected to be used as useful sources in developing necktie designs.
