PM will be occurred by diesel combustion. Therefore, DPF devices are used to reduce PM in diesel vehicles. In DPF devices PM could be accumulated and combustion gas could not be exhaust. Accumulated PM should be removed. Now, burning the accumulated PM is the most commonly used. In this work, we have studied on design variables to develop combustion after-treatment device where a misfire does not occur at less fuel combustion.
Convenient Methods for the Extraction and Discrimination of Water-Soluble Plant Pigments

식품이나 음료 첨가제로 사용하는 착색제는 소비자가 가공된 식품을 믿고 인정할 수 있는 중요한 요인의 하나로 꼽을 수 있다. 예전에 식품에 안전하다고 다량 사용되었던 인공 착색제나 염료들의 종류는 근래 독성학적 연구 결과 유해하다고 판정되어 그 수가 급격히 줄고 있다. 따라서 안토시아닌이나 베타시아닌과 같이 안전한 천연 색소는 항암성과 항산화성을 갖고 있기에 그 수요가 꾸준히 늘고 있다. 본 연구에서는 수용성 식물 색소인 안토시아닌과 베타시아닌을 에틸 아세테이트, 에틸 에테르 및 클로로포름과 같은 몇가지 유기용매로 간단히 추출할 수 있었다. 또한, 추출한 이 두 가지 주된 식물 색소는 citrate buffer (pH 3.0)를 이용한 아가로즈 겔 전기영동법 하나만으로 간편하고 빠른 시간 내에 전개하여 서로를 구분할 수 있었다. The use of colorants as additives for foods and drinks is a significant factor to food consumers in determining the acceptability of processed foods. In recent years, the number of previously used artificial colorants/dyes suitable for food use has been drastically reduced as a result of toxicological studies. Therefore, the use of natural pigments such as anthocyanins and betacyanins that were known to have anticancer and antioxidant activities is increasingly required. In this study, the water-soluble plant pigments, anthocyanins and betacyanins, were easily extracted with a very simple method using a few organic solvents such as ethyl acetate, ethyl ether, and chloroform. After the extraction of them, these two major plant pigments could be also simply and rapidly separated and discriminated by a solely one-stepped agarose gel electrophoresis in a citrate buffer (pH 3.0).

In recent years, the influence automobile emission control on environment has becom an increasingly serious problem and exist noise problem, Particulary, in this problem influence development sub muffler, dual muffler, etc. These exhaust component constantly increased. In this reason, Back pressure from the automobile is generated by various shape such as the internal combustion engine, the inlet and exhasut components and the flow the exhaust pipe of the exhaust system. The technicians paid attention to the exhaust system, through which the back pressure with driving speed which is considered to be exhaust system form. the exhaust system attached to the engine affects the combustion performance and torque, power output and back pressure, and they are in opposite relation to each other. In this study, research on back pressure characteristics relate of exhaust system.

It is often occurred that exhaust pipe of an internal combustion engine should be bent due to some geometrical constraints. Especially for automobiles most of exhaust pipes of engines have curvature to avoid rear axles. In this study effects of pipe curvature on the performance of a SI engine have been studied. Experiments were carried out on a 4 cycles, 2000㏄ automotive SI engine. Three types of curvature, straight pipe, circular arc and rectangle, were tested. By inserting bent pipes of different curvature dimensions into the engine exhaust pipe at various engine operating conditions numerous states of engine performance and fuel consumption were measured.<br/> In this study some important engine performance such as rate of heat release, specific fuel consumption and etc., were derived and compared with those of different bent pipes.

While a great deal of automobile accidents are caused by the carelessness of drivers, a more careful study illustrates that another major cause for these accidents can be found in improper road conditions and poor transportation facilities. Visual distances is one of the important factors in the geometric design of roads. In particular, the visual distance for stopping is very important in the design of vertical and surface alignments. It is also vital in establishing control and operational methods for intersections which tack roads or traffic lights. Deceleration and the friction coefficients of tire and surface play an important role in calculating the visual distance. In other words, when the friction coefficient is smaller, the safety stop visual distance must be longer. In contrast, when the friction coefficient is larger, the design standard for visual distance becomes shorter. The road traffic safety authority has recently studied the stop friction coefficient and the results has highly different from the prices set by American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials(AASHTO). In this research various various test automobiles are used separately to study speed, roads, and road surfaces. Then the results are analyzed and compared with similar tests and related tests conducted in the past.

In design of muffler, Noise reduction is most important point in the past. By reason of this factor, study of muffler mainly used acoustic analysis for predictive modeling. but, recently muffler design factor, back pressure reduction and enhanced engine performance is more important than noise reduction. and developing process uses FEM and fluid analysis. but these process is not clearly defined the value for effective pressure.<br/> In this study, make experiment in muffler and semi-active muffler and analysis back pressure. This has made it possible to optimize muffler design, and defined design variable.
