        데이터 시각화를 통한 체육교육방안 탐구

        Collecting and reporting sports data have been a long history since ancient olympic games. Individuals involved in the field of sports and physical education have collected athletes or teams’ performance data to communicate with others or to improve athletes’ performance. For example, a journalist collect sport data to communicate with public. Scouter and coach collect game or athletes’ performance data for scouting or better performance. Beyond individuals involved in the sports field, people actively participating in a recreational sports collect their performance data to track, maintain, and improve their performance. Like this, sports data has been used for various purpose. Thesedays, a variety of technologies have introduced that can visualize sport data. Visualized sport data offers new ways of exploring, making sense of, and communicating sports data to individuals who do not have background knowledge about statistic. Thus, the purpose of this study was to explore type of sport data visualization and its possibility to implement in teaching physical education.

        The Effects of Physical Education Classes on 4<SUP>th</SUP> Grade Children’s Health-Related Physical Fitness Levels

        The purpose of this study was to examine how the frequency and duration of physical education classes influence children’s health-related physical fitness levels. One hundred and fourteen 4<SUP>th</SUP>grade students from two elementary schools providing different frequency and duration of PE classes in Northern region of illinois participated in the study. Data were collected by using FITNESSGRAM test and after-school sport participation questionnaire during their regular PE classes. Data were analyzed by gender using descriptive analysis and statistical analysis (ANOVA). No significant differences in health-related physical fitness levels were found between students of the two elementary schools. This result may be because there was significant difference in after-school sports participation of students. In fact, students from school A attended the after-school program more often and spent significantly more time in the after-school programs than students in school B.

        The effects of physical education on elementary school students’ self-esteem levels

        Self-esteem has received attention from psychologists for the past few decades because the level of self-esteem is closely related to individual’s psychological well-being. Several studies have found a positive effect of physical activity on self-esteem. However, there is lack of study on the effect of physical education on young children’s self-esteem. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of quantity and duration of physical education class on 4<SUP>th</SUP>grade students’ self-esteem levels. One hundred fourteen 4<SUP>th</SUP>grade children attending two different elementary schools were recruited for this study. One of two schools offered 45minutes of physical education classes twice a week. The other school offered 25minutes of physical education classes five times a week. In formed consent forms were collected from the children’s parents or guardians prior to the data collection. All participants were asked to complete a Self-Perception Profile for Children (SPPC) survey and a Sport and Physical Activity Participation Questionnaire during their physical education class, in order to measure their self-esteem level. Descriptive statistics and ANCOVA were used for data analysis. The covariate, after-school PA program participation, was controlled by using ANCOVA The study found that there were significant differences in several aspects. There were significant differences in athletic competence and global self-worth in boys, and there was a significant difference in behavior conduct in giris. The interesting finding of this study was that the students attending two days of physical education classes displayed higher self-esteem levels than students of five days of physical education classes.

        현행 표준기반 학습에 관한 미 체육 교사와 교사 교육자들의 인식 탐색

        본 연구는 미국의 학교체육에서 현재 시행 중인 표준기반 학습에 관한 체육교육자들, 특히 교사와 교원양성 교수자들의 인식을 고찰하고자 하였다. 총 26인이 심층 면담에 참여하기 위해 유목적적으로 선정되었으며, 수집된 구술자료는 귀납적 그리고 연역적으로 분석 및 재검증되었다. 조사 참여자들은 지역과 교사의 자율권을 보장하는, 폭넓은 의미로 정의된 체육교과 학습표준에 대해 강한 신뢰감을 내 비추었던 반면, 이들은 또한 실제 실행에서 발생하는 이질적인 표준기반 교육프로그램의 만연을 지적하였다. 또한, 참여자들은 다수의 교사들이 표준기반의 학습에 대해 제한된 지식을 가지고 있으며, 이로 말미암아 지정된 학습표준을 실제 교육과정에 통합·적용하지 못하고 있다고 인식하였다. 체육이 학교문화 사이에서 적절한 교과로서의 안정과 신뢰를 유지하기 위해 표준기반의 학습에 관한 보다 구체적이고 명료한 안내 지침을 제시할 필요가 있다. 더 나아가 질 높은 학교체육 프로그램의 육성을 위해 표준교육 개혁은 다양한 수준의 학문적/행정적 그룹 및 지역 주체들 간의 상호협력을 통해 이루어져야 할 것이다. The purpose of this study was to examine physical education (PE) teachers’ and teacher educators’ perceptions on the current practice of standards-based learning in the United States. In total, twenty-six individuals were purposefully selected to participate in in-depth interviews that were inductively and deductively analyzed and tested. Themes indicated the physical educators have strong convictions to the broad PE standards allowing for local flexibility and teacher autonomy while they were also concerned that the standards produced a number of disparate school PE programs across states. Participants acknowledged that many teachers have limited knowledge about PE standards and a lack of capacities to incorporate the endorsed standards into the actual curriculum used in PE programs. The profession of PE must provide more explicit and specific guidelines for standards-based learning in order to sustain security and reliability as a relevant subject within school cultures. Further, Standards-based reform would have to be initiated in mutual cooperation with diverse scholarly/administrative groups and local entities to promote quality school-based PE programs.

        방과 후 스포츠클럽 지도유형에 따른 초등학생의 수업 만족도에 미치는 영향

        This study was conducted to investigate the effect on class satisfaction of elementary school students according to the instructional type of after-school sports club activities. The subjects of this study were 306 male students and 218 female students who are currently participating in after-school sports club activities for students in grades 3-6 of an elementary school located in S city, for a total of 524 students. As the data processing method, SPSS/ PC (win 21.0) program was used. Independent t-test and one-way analysis of variance were used to compare the teacher's instructional style and class satisfaction. Multivariate analysis was used to compare and analyze the class satisfaction of students according to the instructional type. Multiple regression analysis was used to examine the relationship between instructional type and students' class satisfaction. As for the guidance type of the advisor, the dictatorial behavior type was the highest, and there was a significant difference in the student's gender and the supervisor's gender in the class satisfaction. In addition, statistically significant differences were found in positive reward type, professor and instruction type, and social support behavior type in the influence on the teacher's class satisfaction. Therefore, it is thought that tutors will be able to increase class satisfaction by operating classes with closeness to students and actively using positive feedback, and by conducting classes that respect the opinions of individual students. 이 연구는 방과 후 스포츠클럽 활동 지도유형에 따라 초등학생의 수업 만족도에 미치는 영향을 규명하기 위해 실시하였다. 연구 대상은 S시에 소재하고 있는 초등학교의 3-6학년학생들을 대상으로 현재 방과 후 스포츠클럽 활동에 참여하고 있는 남학생 306명, 여학생 218명, 총524명을 대상으로 실시하였다. 자료처리 방법은 SPSS/ PC(win 21.0) 프로그램을 사용하였고, 지도교사의 지도유형과 수업 만족도를 비교하기 위하여 독립 t 검정과 일원변량분석, 지도유형에 따른 학생들의 수업 만족도를 비교분석하기 위해 다변량분석을 실시하였으며, 지도유형과 학생들의 수업 만족도의 관계를 살펴보기 위하여 다중회기분석을 실시하였다. 지도교사의 지도 유형으로는 전제적 행동형이 가장 높았고, 수업 만족도에서 학생 성별, 지도교사 성별에서 유의한 차이를 나타냈다. 또한 지도교사의 수업 만족도에 미치는 영향에서 긍정적 보상형과, 교수와 지시형, 사회적지지 행동형에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 나타냈다. 따라서 지도교사는 학생들에게 친밀감을 갖고 긍정적인 피드백을 적극적으로 사용하여 수업을 운영하고, 학생들 개개인의 의견을 존중하는 수업을 실시함으로써 수업 만족도를 높일 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

        포괄적 학교-기반 신체 활동 프로그램(CSPAP)에 대한체계적 문헌 분석

        본 연구의 목적은 포괄적 학교-기반 신체활동 프로그램(Comprehensive School-based Physical ActivityProgram) 관련 해외 연구들을 분석함으로써 향후 국내 학교 체육의 활성화 방안을 제시하는데 있다. 이를 위해 체계적 문헌 분석(Systematic Review of Literature) 연구 방법을 활용하여 2010년부터 2021년까지 국외 학술지에 게재된 논문과 학위논문을 수집하였다. 수집된 연구물은 Cochrane 연합에서 제시한 평가 도구(Risk of BiasTool)를 기반으로 비뚤림 영역을 평가하여 분석하였으며, 분석 결과는 CSPAP의 각 구성 요소별 세부 활동,CSPAP의 적용 효과 및 시사점이란 두 가지 영역으로 재구조화하여 논의하였다. 논의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째,학교-기반 신체활동 프로그램(CSPAP)이 다중 구성요소 접근 방식으로 적용되며 양질의 체육교육과 학교 일과 중신체활동 통합 요소가 프로그램의 핵심적 요소임을 발견했다. 둘째, CSPAP 적용이 학생들의 신체활동량과 수업 중과제 수행 행동을 증가시켜 학업 성취 지표와 긍정적 관련이 있음이 확인되었다. 셋째, CSPAP 적용 효과에 관한상반된 결과들을 고려하여 단위학교의 자율체육 프로그램을 책임지고 운영할 CSPAP 신체활동 리더의 역할과 그중요성을 제시하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 CSPAP 프로그램 개발을 위한 사례연구가 필요하며, 이를 위해 학교관리자, 행정가, 체육 및 교실 교사, 대학 교수 및 예비교사들을 대상으로 한 CSPAP 관련 연수를 제언하였다. The purpose of this study was to analyze studies related to Comprehensive School-based PhysicalActivity Program(CSPAP) through systematic review. Studies including published journals, dissertations, andtheses from 2010 to 2021 collected for data analysis. The collected studies were analyzed by evaluatingthe area of bias based on the Risk of Bias Tool presented by the Cochrane Coalition. The results werereconstructed based on the components of CSPAP and its effects. The results are as follows. First, wefound that the school-based physical activity program that is applied by a multi-component approach andthat quality physical education and the integration of physical activity during school days were the keyelements of the program. Second, the application of CSPAP increased students on-task behavior and waspositively related to academic achievement. Based on the findings of this study, the physical activityleader who is responsible for and operates the CSPAP as an autonomous sports program of the unitschool is important for successful CAPAP implementation. To successfully implement in schools in Korea,a case study for CSPAP program development is required. For this, CSPAP-related training for schooladministrators, administrators, physical education and classroom teachers, university professors andpre-service teachers was suggested. Finally, it was suggested that a study on how the physical activityleader in charge of operating the CSPAP program in school affects the physical activity of students isneeded.

        60세 이상 노인 인구에서 우울증과 자살의 위험인자

        Objectives:In this study authors evaluated depressed mood and suicidal ideation among the elderly over 60 years old. We also investigated sociodemographic and clinical risk factors of depression and suicide. Methods:Six hundred fifty elderlies participated in this study. One hundred seventy nine subjects agreed to laboratory test and more evaluation. Geriatric Depression Scale(GDS) and Scale for Suicidal Ideation(SSI) were used to evaluate depression and suicidal ideation. Participants whose GDS score was 17 or more were concluded to have depressed mood, whose SSI score was 9 or more were concluded to have suicidal ideation. Results:The prevalence of depression and suicidal ideation in Korean elderly over 60 years old were 65.4%, 13.9% respectively. Female sex, low education state, low MMSE-KC score, high Hachinski ischemic score and high SSI score were significantly related with depression. Suicidal ideation was related with hypertension history. But MMSE-KC, GDS, SSI and serum lipid levels showed no significance in this study. Conclusion:Compared with other studies, the prevalence of depression in Korean elderly over 60 years old was higher. The risk factors of depression were female sex, low education state, cognitive impairment and risk of brain vascular disease. And the risk factor of suicidal ideation was hypertension history. But cognitive impairment, depression and suicidal ideation were not significantly correlated with serum lipid levels. To confirm this result, well-designed and wide range studys will be needed.

        여고생의 체육수업 재미 요인이 학업 스트레스 해소와 학교생활 만족에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship among fun factors of physical education (PE), academic stress, and school life satisfaction. A total of 165 1st and 2nd-year female high school students participated in this current study. To collect the data, three questionnaires measuring three were used. The correlation coefficient(r), frequency analysis, and multiple regression were performed by using SPSS 22.0. The analysis founds the followings. First, the fun factor was negatively correlated with academic stress and was positively correlated with school life satisfaction. Also, academic stress and school life satisfaction were negatively correlated. Second, friendship socialization showed a significant impact on five elements (grade stress, class stress, study stress, career stress, interpersonal satisfaction). Third, physical fitness had a significant impact on the school rules and the satisfaction of special activities. Also, social support was significantly influenced by friendship satisfaction. The results of this study suggest that the fun factors of PE influences female high school students’ academic stress and school life satisfaction positively. Based on the results, it is suggested that the fun factor in PE should be increased to reduce female high school students’ academic stress and enhance their satisfaction with school life.

        경도인지장애와 알츠하이머형 치매 환자에서 혈중 Superoxide Dismutase 활성도와 Nitric oxide 및 Homocysteine 농도

        목적 : 경도인지장애와 알츠하이머형 치매 환자에서 정상 대조군에 비해 혈중 Superoxide dismutase(SOD) 활성도와 nitric oxide(NO) 및 homocysteine 농도가 유의하게 차이가 나는지와 함께 전체 대상자에 대해 인지 기능 저하 정도와 각각의 상관관계에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 방법 : 본 연구는 52명의 알츠하이머 치매 환자, 67명의 경도인지장애, 49명의 정상대조군을 대상으로 하였고 알츠하이머병의 진단은 DSM-IV와 NINCDS-ADRDA의 진단 기준을 따랐다. 인구학적 조사와 함께 임상적 평가로 Mini-Mental Status Examination-Korean version(MMSE-KC), Clinical Dementia Rating Scale (CDRS), Geriatric Depression Scale(GDS-K)을 시행하였고, 혈장 SOD 활성도와 혈청 NO 농도 및 혈장 homocysteine 농도를 측정하여 분석하였다. 결과 : 산화 스트레스인 혈중 SOD 활성도와 NO 및 homocysteine의 평균 농도는 알츠하이머형 치매군와 경도 인지장애군에서 정상 대조군과 비교했을 때 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 그리고 전체 군을 대상으로 했을 때 MMSE-KC 점수와 혈중 homocysteine 농도 사이에는 약한 음의 상관 관계를 보였다(r=-0.18, p<0.05). 결론 : 본 연구에서는 경증의 알츠하이머형 치매에서 혈중 SOD 활성도와 NO 농도보다는 homocysteine 농도가 인지능력저하를 추정할 수 있는 더 유용한 생물학적 지표가 될 수 있을 것으로 추정하였다. Objectives:The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences in the blood superoxide dismutase(SOD) activity, concentrations of nitric oxide(NO) and homocysteine between the normal controls, mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and Alzheimer’s dementia. And we also evaluate the correlation between blood SOD activity, concentrations of NO and homocysteine and the cognitive decline level among all subjects. Methods:The study was carried out in 52 patients with Alzheimer’s dementia, 67 subjects with MCI and 49 normal controls. The subject received a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s dementia based on DSM-Ⅳ and NINCDS-ADRDA criteria. The Subjects were evaluated the demographic data and clinical data, including the Mini-Mental Status Examination-Korean version(MMSE-KC), clinical dementia rating scale(CDRS) and Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS-K). Plasma SOD activity, serum NO concentration and plasma homocysteine concentration were measured. Results:There was no significant correlation between the oxidative stress, such as blood SOD activity, concentrations of NO and homocysteine in the subjects with MCI and Alzheimer’s dementia, when compared with the normal controls. There was a weak negative correlation between the total score of MMSE-KC and plasma homocysteine level (r=-0.18;p<0.05). Conclusion:This study concluded that the plasma homocysteine level in mild Alzheimer’s dementia could be a more useful biological marker to estimate the cognitive decline compared to blood SOD activity and NO concentration.
