Vol.17 No.5
The rapid progress of aging society gives rise to a variety of problems of the aged. In particular, the health issue among the elderly poses a socio-economic burden on our society. In a bid to promote the health of the elderly, development and application of various contents linked with the ICT technology to our daily life and ways to facilitate their use among the elderly should be sought. Korea has provided a variety of contents designed to promote or maintain health of people of various ages through the wide spread and use of smart phones since 2010 but there has been a severe lack in contents for the elderly in terms of their quantity and quality. Against this backdrop, this study aims to utilize dance characterized by physical movements and bodily expressions as part of developing ICT-based contents for health promotion of the elderly. This study has adopted a number of research methodologies, including analysis of preceding researches into elderly welfare based on the research topics and periods of from domestic academic journals and academic theses (master’s, doctoral), ICT-based preceding researches into elderly affairs, preceding researches into dance programs for the elderly, based on which I intend to present a proposal on the development and use of dance contents.
Vol.25 No.6
Modern people are rapidly growing in the proportion of the elderly population among the total population due to the rapid growth of life expectancy due to rapid economic, cultural, scientific and medical technological developments. Elderly problems appear to be poverty, health deterioration, loneliness, and the loss of seniority. The government and the society make a lot of efforts to solve the problem of the elderly. Particularly the development of the health insurance system, the economic pension, and the social safety net. This study was carried out to investigate the solution of the elderly problem with increasing elderly population. We developed smart-health-care system and contents for the health promotion of the elderly, and proposed a cheaper and easier-to-use method. As a result, the following problems should be preceded for settlement of Smart-Health-Care system in Korea. First, the development of advanced technology that is fused with ICT technology. Second, institutional improvement of law. Third, active investment and technology commercialization of countries and companies are needed.

The pattern of energy consumption in a building varies based on its characteristic features and the behavior of the occupants; therefore, it is difficult to classify buildings in terms of energy consumption. This study used only outdoor temperature and energy consumption as a parameter to analyze the energy consumption by a building, and thus the approach is different from the conventional methods that use complex computer simulations, data on energy consumptions related to heating cooling, and energy audits etc. First, raw data on the operational schedules of the buildings and internal-external dependency factor are developed as the primary analytical data. The preferred analytical data were categorized into four categories: internal-external factors, energy consumption, operational condition of the building, and energy consumption by outdoor temperature. A matrix that can be used as a relative indicator of a building’s energy consumption in relation to its characteristics was also developed in this work. Using this energy pattern matrix, the obtained data could be used for retrofitting buildings, and a classification scheme based on the energy consumption pattern of buildings can be also prepared.
