        The aim of this reports is helped to blood bank of others hospital that introduction to experienced the while and using computerized systems of blood bank in Samsung Medical Center. Utilization of the systems 1. We could be confirmed to final results when input, to prevent make an error only the same with the both results that after each inspector is in put result to the other computer. 2. We prevented to make an error once input a test result which accumulated the past a test result table and then compared to each result for a new perscription as tests. 3. We had been inputed after compared with result of stock specimens on the history table that to protect an error when registrated of stock specimens to the blood types. 4. All entry or delively procedures to be used to barcode scanner for a minimization to error. 5. The stock place is automatic registrated from 1 to 700 for a protect duplication of stock places. 6. Did no deliveried the prescribed blood and a kind of different bloods. 7. It`s establization system the publication sticker to patient`s information and blood delivery information for spend of time, minimization an error. 8. Get it to caution message to user before blood delivery when a ordered of filter or irradation. 9. Can`t delively if a different blood with patient`s blood type, but incase of BMT or exchange transfusion are able to delivery taken a caution message for user. 10. We established systems to shown when blood delivery, if have been the donation blood, automatic inquired to donation table. 11. We able to deliveried after easily to inquired to the past transefusion history of patient`s that use a function key before blood delivery. 12. We established to systems of various that a statistical bloods ,statistical tests.

      • 인간 거대세포 바이러스 감염 진단을 위한 CMV 항원혈증검사의 유용성 평가

        Early detection and treatment of human cytomegalovirus(CMV) infection is very important because CMV infection is major cause of morbidity and mortality after organ transplantation. CMV antigenemia assay has been reported to be very sensitive and specific for detection of CMV infection among many laboratoη methods. We compared the results of CMV antigenemia(Clonab CMV kit; Biotest AG, Landsteinerstrasse, Dreiceich, Germany), CMV PCR, CMV culture and CMV IgM to evaluate their clinical usefulness. We compared 620 s없nples for CMV antigenemia tests, 2,272 samples for CMV culture, and 423 samples for CMV PCR tests between July 1997 and April 1998 in samsung medical center clinical microbiology For CMV test, the sensitivity of CMV culture, CMV antigenemia, and CMV PCR were 4.3%, 16.6% and 31.0%, respectively. Sixty seven patients were classified CMV antigenemia positive. The results of compared for CMV culture, CMV PCR, and CMV IgM antibody. For CMV antigenemia, the sensitivity of CMV PCR and CMV IgM antibody were 85.3%, 93.5% respectively. CMV antigenemia is thought to be useful for early diagnosis and follow- up of anti띠ral treatment as a quantitative and highly specific method. The sensitivity and specificity are very comparing to CMV antigenemia.

        환기정도에 따른 수술실용 신발 종류가 수술실 오염에 미치는 영향 : How to Choose Suitable Shoes?

        Background : Various types of protective footwear have been used to minimize bacterial contamination in operating rooms. In recent years, debate has arisen concerning the need for use of such protective footwear. This study was designed to provide useful data about choosing shoes most suitable for the surgical environment. Methods : Between November, 1999 and January, 2000, we performed this experimental study by comparing effect of three types of shoes (i.e., disposable shoescover, operating room-restricted shoes, and ordinary shoes) on bacterial contamination of operating rooms equipped with two different ventilation systems (i.e., high air-change, low air-change) respectively. Data were collected during two-hour sham operations in which subjects and their activities were strictly standardized. Bacterial flora were sampled from the study area floor and air colony-counts were measured. Results : In experiments involving high air-change ventilation system, there was a significant difference of floor contamination between three types of shoes, but no difference of air contamination. Under low air-change system, there was a significant difference of both floor and air contamination between three types of shoes. Conclusion : The results show that protective footwear would be unnecessary in the operating room with high air-change ventilation system, but it is important to choose suitable shoes carefully under low air-change system. Therefore, the use of outdoor shoes can be considered under high air-change system, but it would seem sensible to apply their first use in less bloody operations at the day surgery center or out-patient department to prevent transfer of body fluid into the outside environment.
