Two commercial compatibilizers of ethylene glycidyl methacrylate (EGMA) and styrene-b-ethylene/butyleneb-styrene grafted with maleic anhydride (SEBS-g-MA) were added to poly(phenylene sulfide) (PPS)/poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) (80/20, weight ratio) and PPS/polyamide 66 (PA66) (80/20, weight ratio) mixture, respectively. This was done by using a twin screw extruder via a melt blending method and the blends of the three components were melt-pressed and quenched to the films of 200 ${\mu}m$. Changes in thermal, mechanical, chemical and morphological properties of the blend films were analyzed by using DSC, DMA, WAXS, SEM and UTM. DSC results showed that EGMA in PPS(80)/PET(20)/EGMA blends lowered $T_g$ of PPS. They hindered the crystallization of both PPS and PET. Addition of EGMA imparted partial miscibility to the immiscible PPS(80)/PET(20) blends but the total miscibility and compatibility were not enhanced. Mechanical and chemical properties of PPS80/PET20/EGMA blend films deteriorated more with an increase in EGMA content. SEBS-g-MA did not work as a compatibilizer at all for PPS(80)/PA66(20) blends rather it enduced phase separation of the blends.

Polyamide 66 (PA66) and thermotropic liquid crystalline polymer (TLCP) were added to poly(phenylene sulfide) (PPS) using a twin screw extruder via a melt blending method, and the effect of PA66 and TLCP addition on the properties of the PPS film was investigated. Differential scanning calorimetry showed that the melting point ($T_m$) and glass transition temperature ($T_g$) of PPS in the PPS/PA66 and PPS/TLCP blends were unaffected by the addition of PA66 and TLCP, even up to 20 wt%. However, the addition of PA66 or TLCP affected both the cold and melt crystallization temperatures. SEM of the fracture surfaces of the two blends with various compositions revealed PA66 and TLCP as spherical particles in the blends, indicating that both PPS/PA66 and PPS/TLCP are immiscible blend systems. The addition of up to 20 wt% PA66 did not affect the mechanical properties of the resulting PPS/PA66 blend films. On the other hand, the addition of up to 10 wt% TLCP increased the tensile strength slightly. The tensile strength retention of the blend films immersed in an aqueous solution containing either 30% NaOH, 10% HCl or 10% $HNO_3$ at $93^{\circ}C$ for one week was unaffected by PA66 and TLCP blending.

A melt blending method was used to blend poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) and poly(phenylene sulfide) (PPS) with a twin screw extruder to provide basic data for the production of PPS/PET sheath-core type bicomponent fibers. Differential scanning calorimetry showed that the melting ($T_m$) and glass transition temperature ($T_g$) of PPS in the PPS/PET blends were unaffected by the addition of PET, even up to 20 wt%. However, PET addition resulted in a decrease in the cold crystallization temperature ($T_{cc}$) of PPS and an increase in the melt crystallization temperature ($T_{mc}$) of PPS. SEM images of the fracture surface of the PPS/PET blends with various compositions showed that the PET appeared as spherical particles in the blends. This shows that PPS/PET is an immiscible blend system. The addition of up to 20 wt% PET did not affect the mechanical properties of the resulting PPS/PET films. β형 결정구조를 갖는 PVDF 나노섬유가 필터의 여과 성능에 미치는 영향

Currently, the most important PVDF polymorph is the β-phase, which has a netcrystalline dipole moment oriented precisely normal to the molecular chain. This dipolemoment is responsible for the enhancement in piezoelectric and ferroelectric activities. Nanofibers prepared by electrospinning are a desirable material for air filtration applicationsowing to their high porosity, micro–nano channel interconnects, and high surfacearea-to-volume ratio. Electrospinning nanofibers have a high surface-area-to-volume ratio,an adjustable porous structure, and a facile preparation process, making them a suitablecandidate for filtration materials. Previous studies have reported structural variation in electrospunPVDF nanofibers in the presence of BaO3Ti via the formation of β-type incrementcrystallites. In this study, two nanofiber samples prepared by the electrospinning of PVDFand PVDF/BaO3Ti solutions were used to investigate the air filter efficiency and pressuredrop and understand the effect of the crystal structure change of PVDF nanofibers on thefiltration performance. For nanofibers prepared by electrospinning a solution containing amixture of BaO3Ti and PVDF, the β-type crystal structure transition and dielectric constantimproved. The results indicated that the realization of high-performance filter materialswith a low pressure drop at the same high filter efficiency is possible.

협회는 낙농현실에 대한 정확한 실태파악으로 향후 낙농산업의 안정적인 생산기반유지를 위한 효율적인 정책방안 수립을 위해 '2011 낙농 기초조사 연구'('12. 3, 연구기관 영남대산학협력단/연구책임자 조석진 교수) 연구용역을 실시하고 그 결과를 발표하였다. 금번 연구는 전국 1,100호 농가를 대상으로 경영개요 관리, 토지이용, 노동력 구성 및 후계자 문제, 분뇨처리문제, 부채현황, 낙농제도 등 총 69개 문항에 대해 설문조사를 실시하여, 이중 활용가치가 높은 전국 약 10%에 해당하는 556호의 설문조사 결과를 최종 분석하였다. 본문은 발췌 요약한 것으로 낙농산업 실태를 정확히 파악하는 데 도움이 되었으면 한다.
