This study is aimed to analyze the impact of the perception of fairness on the relationship quality as a way to enhance the competitiveness through the establishment of a long-term relationship between food service franchisors and franchisees. An empirical analysis found that the more positively the fairness of franchisors is recognized, the more positive impact it has on the relationship quality. As both the distributive fairness and the procedural fairness, the two concepts of fairness, are perceived in a more positive manner, the trust and satisfaction over franchisers were found to be higher, with the conflict shown to be lower. Though both the distributive fairness and the procedural fairness showed a significant result, the procedural fairness, in particular, has a greater impact on the trust and satisfaction over franchisers than the distributive fairness. In addition, the quality of relationship between franchisor and franchisees has a positive impact on a long-term commitment. That is that as their trust and satisfaction over franchisors are higher with less conflict, franchisees will become more cooperative with their franchisors. The greatest impact on the long-term unity, among the factors that constitute the relationship quality, appeared to be trust. Accordingly, it is advisable persons in charge at franchisors place the greatest focus on fostering trust to establish a long-term relationship, inducing it in a positive direction. From such result, suggestions can be made in establishing a strategy for developing an appropriate relationship between food service franchisors and franchisees. Firstly, persons in charge at food service franchisors will have to induce the perception of franchisors' procedural fairness by franchisees in a positive direction in order to enhance the Quality of relationship with franchisees. Secondly, as an alternative strategy for forming a long-term relationship between franchisors and franchisees, the effort should be made to foster a greater trust in franchisors first. In many cases, franchisors currently focus more on their convenience in management than the development of systems to satisfy the franchisee needs. This contravenes with the essence of relationship marketing and thus, it can be said it is the most important of all that focus should be directed at trust and fairness in the effort toward a sustained relationship between franchisors and franchisees in the future.
Gadolinium-benzoate 착물의 열역학적, 적외선 및 자기적 성질에 관한 연구

수용액내에서 gadolinium-벤조산 착물형성 반응의 열역학적 함수값들을 이온상수 0.1M $NaClO_4$, $25^{\circ}C$ 조건하에서 구하였다. gadolinium-벤조산 착물의 안정도는 여분의 엔트로피 효과에 기인하는 것으로 판단되며, 벤조산 리간드의 경우 한 자리 리간드에 비해 높은 안정도 상수값을 나타내었다. 이러한 높은 안정도는 리간드내의 벤젠고리의 공액효과로 예측되었다. 합성된 Ga$(ben)_3$의 고체 IR스펙트럼 결과, 벤조산 리간드가 두 자리 리간드로 작용하여 킬레이트를 형성하였으며, 80${\sim}$300K 온도 범위에서의 자화율 데이터는 Curie-Weiss 법칙에 잘 적용됨을 알 수 있었다. The thermodynamic parameters for the formation of gadolinium benzoate have been determined in the ionic medium of 0.1 M $NaClO_4$ at $25^{\circ}C$ in aqueous solution. The thermodynamic results indicate that the complex is stabilized by the excess entropy effect caused by the dehydration of reacting ions. The especially high stability of Gd(III)-benzoate compared to the monodentate ligand complexes might be ascribed to the conjugation effect of the benzene ring in the benzoate ligand. IR spectra show that benzoate anion acts as a bidentate ligand toward $Gd^{3+}$ to form a chelate ring in solid state. Magnetic susceptibility data of the compound were also obtained and well described by Curie-Weiss law in the temperature range 80${\sim}$300K.

Recent climate change has led to fluctuations in agricultural production, and as a result national food supply has become an important strategic factor in economic policy. As such, in this study, panel data was collected to analyze the effects of seven meteorological elements on the production of five types of grain with error component panel data regression method following the test results of LM tests, Hausman test. The key factors affecting the production of rice were average temperature, average relative humidity and average ground surface temperature. The fluctuations in the other four grains types are not well explained by meterological elements. For other grains and beans, only average temperature and time (year) affect the production of other grains while average temperature, ground surface temperature, and time (year) influence the production of beans. For barley and millet, only average temperature positively affects the production of barley while ground surface temperature and time (year) negatively influence the production of millet. The implications of this study are as follow. First, it was confirmed that the meteorological elements have profound effects on the rice production. Second, when compared to existing studies, this study was not limited to rice but encompassed all five types of grains and went beyond other studies that were limited to temperature and rainfall to include various meteorological elements.

A case of a 37 year-old man of congenital diabetes insipidus is reported. He complained of polydipsia, which began from his youth, drinking about 10 L of water every day. He didn't look ill or mentally retarded. In his family, his only brother has shown similar symptoms and his older sister had no symptom. On radiologic study, both kidneys showed severe hydronephrosis and the bladder was markedly distended. Water deprivation test was performed. The result was consistent with diabetes insipidus and the urine osmolality didn't respond to antidiuretic hormone injection, and he was diagnosed as nephrogenic diabetes insipidus. We began to treat him with thiazide and amiloride. The amount of water he's been drinking daily has decreased to 3-4 L per day. We discuss this case with a brief review of literature.

In aqueous acid solution [Cr(CN)_6]^3- aquates via a series of stepwise stereospecific reactions to give [Cr(H_2O)_6]^3+ as the final product.Some of the intermediate cyanoaquo complexes in the sequence have been isolated.These complexes aquate by both acid independent and acid denpendent pathways,the latter involving protonation of the cyano ligands followed by aquation of the singly protonated species. The kinetic data for the aquation of [CrCN(H_2O)_5]^2+ are consistent with the transition state structure, [(H_2O)_4Cr(CN)-OH-Cr(H_2O)_5]^3+.Addition of Cr^2+ to solutions of cyanocobalt(III) complexes produces the metastable intermediate[CrNC(H_2O]^2)+.This isomerizes to in a Cr^2+ -catalyzed reaction which occurs by a ligand-bridged electron-change mechnism. From acid catalysis on these aquation reactions, it product HCN. Especially, HSO_3 ions do the role of catalyst in the formation of HCN from CrCN^3+.
