Export basic trainer was designed to add armed configuration required by customer. Design configuration of main wing was changed to satisfy changed internal load caused by armed configuration. It was verified that design changed main wing airframe of export basic trainer satisfy the requirement through the structural detail analysis, structural ground test and flight test. This paper presents the durability test procensure and test result for the main wing of export basic trainer.

Reliability or uncertainty problems occurring due to uncertain geometric or material parameters in the fatigue life prediction are nowadays actively considered in the design of mechanical components undergoing repeated loading conditions. Recently, Dimension Reduction Method combined with Kriging approximation (named as K-DR) was proposed by the authors, which is to calculate statistical moments using an additive decomposition of a multi-dimensional response function into multiple one-dimensional functions. The function is then approximated by Kriging interpolation technique using the properly chosen sample points. Once the moments are obtained, type of statistical PDF shape is identified using the Pearson system. The method, which is more tractable for its sensitivity-free nature and providing the response PDF in a few number of analyses, is adopted in this study for the reliability analysis of high-cycle fatigue life problems. The S-N parameters are not always available due to the limited experimental data, from which the determination of the probability distribution is not easy. In this case, a family of curves representing confidence bound which is called P-S-N curve are constructed from the regression analysis. Reliability analysis is then conducted at each deterministic S-N curve with different confidence level. The advantage of the K-DR is that once a set of responses are available at the chosen sample points, all the cases mentioned above can be efficiently studied without any additional response evaluations, which would be cumbersome if the MPP search methods are employed. The proposed method is demonstrated with the fatigue design problem of knuckle. The resulting information is of great practical value and will be very helpful for the design engineers in making decision in the fatigue design process.
