In this paper, a passenger air bag(PAB) folding method using finite element analysis was suggested. As PAB is<br/> more complex in shape than other airbags, generally it takes much time and efforts than others and requires highly<br/> skilled experience to get folded finite element model. Fully folded PAB finite element model was achieved by<br/> performing the continuous series of simulations. So, Anyone without skilled experience in air bag folding process<br/> can get folded PAB easily by following the process. It can save time in PAB folding process and decrease errors in<br/> PAB deployment simulation, and is expected to contribute to the development of advanced air bag which has to<br/> consider out of position (OOP) situation.

육상 및 해양 플랜트의 설계 과정에서 서로 다른 복잡도를 가지는 장치, 유닛, 모듈 등이 사용된다. 장치의 경우 기자재 제작사가 독립적으로 설계 및 제작을 한다. 그러나 유닛 수준이상의 플랜트 컴포넌트의 경우 다수의 장치, 구조 부재, 그리고 배관으로 구성이 된다. 그리고 구성 장치들 중 일부에 대해서는 다른 기자재 제작사로부터 제공 받은 설계 데이터를 사용한다. 이 논문에서는 플랜트 유닛에 해당되는 Fresh Water Unit 을 대상으로 기 개발된 3D CAD 조립체 데이터 간략화 시스템을 적용한 결과를 설명한다. 그리고 이 과정에서 발생된 문제점들을 분석하고 그에 대한 해결방안을 제시한다.

N/A Changes in bioimpedance during the cardiac cycle are inversely related to the volume of blood within the heart and great vessels. Estimating cardiac output from changes in the bioimpedance is a safe, painless, and noninvasive alternative which should be useful for repeated bedside determinations in individual patients. Cardiac output determined by the bioimpedance method using NCCOM3® (noninvasive continuous cardiac output monitor) was compared with that of the thermodilution method in 22 patients who underwent cardiac catheterization. Twenty-two patients, 7 males and 15 females ranging in age from 22 to 56 (mean 41.4), had various cardiac diseases. Coronary heart disease was present in 5 and valvular heart disease in 17. The cardiac rhythm was sinus rhythm in 4 and atrial fibrillation in 18. The results were as follows: 1) Bioimpedance provided a noninvasive, continuous and simple method to monitor cardiac output. 2) Cardiac output measured by bioimpedance and the thermodilution method correlated well (r=0.827 as a whole, r=0.902 in those with sinus rhythm). 3) Bioimpedance can be used in the clinical setting when the thermodilution method is not readily feasible and when continuous monitoring of cardiac output is indicated.
에어백 폴딩 재현 방법에 따른 비정상 착좌 해석에 대한 연구

There is an increasing pressure to reduce injuries by using airbags for out-of-position impact loading conditions. At the same time, numerical simulation requires accurate models applicable to the OOP (Out Of Position) loading cases. However, modeling folded airbags from the 3D CAD geometry is a very time consuming task. This paper investigates the effects of passenger airbag inflation characteristics in terms of airbag modeling technique. The following two tests were simulated with the airbag model. 1. Static airbag deployment in pendulum test 2. OOP Position, Low Risk Deployment test. These two tests were then compared to the simulation results. For OOP simulation, the directly folded mesh and scaling mesh airbag model showed satisfactory correlation, but the projection mesh was not suited to OOP modeling.
Front End Module의 5마일 범퍼 충돌해석에 관한 연구

As one of the cores of change of automobile industry, FEM(Front End Module) is rising on the standard of newly developed cars. FEM Carrier, front structure should be designed to endure impact energy of the car for the safe of the functional parts in order to meet the crash regulation and product requirements. Under low speed impact, crack frequently initiates at plastic part of Hybrid type Carrier. Tom Carrier means high repair cost in addition to the loss of assembling function of components such as Head Lamp, Radiator, condenser and so on. On this paper. deformation behavior of FEM on the crash was analyzed using commercial crash software pam-crash. The effect of design variables of Carrier on the strength has been investigated. The design changes of Stay and B/Beam were considered too. The results of simulation were verified by test. The most dominating factor of Carrier damage was the lateral displacement of B/Beam. Carrier and Stay design modification themselves found to be insufficient for the prevention of Carrier damage. Instead, the isolation of displacement between carrier and B/Beam has been found to be effective on the prevention of Carrier damage.
조선해양 기자재 3D CAD 단품 데이터 간략화 시스템 개발

It is necessary to construct equipment catalog in ship outfitting design and offshore plant design. The three-dimensional CAD data of equipment take on different level-of-detail depending on the purpose. Equipment suppliers provide CAD data with high complexity while ship designers need CAD data with low complexity. Therefore, it is necessary to simplify CAD data. However, it takes much time to simplify them manually. To resolve the issue, a system for automatically simplifying the 3D CAD data of equipment was developed. This paper presents the architecture of the system and the implementation details. In addition, experiment result using the prototype system is explained.
