An Ultra-sonic aircraft uses vacant spaces as fuel tanks in the fuselage and wings. In order to exchange and repair the components in the fuel tanks, many access doors are placed on the cover of fuel tank skin. The critical damage of access doors have been reported by repeated installation/removal, human error, and careless handling. This paper deals with repair procedure of the access door with critical damage via various investigations. Also, the repair process includes masking and anodizing step in order to prevent change of paint color and achieve the high level corrosion resistance. The performance of access door repaired by proposed procedure was verified by test of corrosion, adhesion, coating weight and leakage. The results shows the repair procedure can be recover performance of the access door with critical damaged.
항공기 보조동력장치 입구안내익 구동기어의 품질개선에 관한 연구

FA-50 항공기 보조동력장치는 추력을 제외한 항공기의 동력을 생성하는 장치로 항공기 감항성 유지를 위해 매우 중요한 요소이다. 또한, 보조동력장치의 입구안내익은 로드압축기로 유입되는 공기 유량을 조절하여 적절한 공기량이 보조동력장치 내부로 공급되도록 유도하는 장치이다. 본 논문에서는 FA-50 항공기 보조동력장치 입구안내익 구동기어에서 발생한 문제점을 바탕으로, 발생원인, 고장탐구결과, 설계개선 내용을 기술하였으며, 개선된 연구에 대해 비행시험검증 결과를 함께 소개한다. Auxiliary Power Unit of FA-50 which provides energy other than propulsion is an important element to maintain airworthiness on aircraft. Also Inlet Guide Vane of Auxiliary Power Unit is a device that supplies appropriate airflow into the Auxiliary Power Unit after adjusting influent airflow into the load compressor. This report, based on the problems occurred the driving gears of Inlet Guide Vane, deals with cause of occurrence, troubleshooting, design improvement and result of test flight verification for FA-50 aircraft Auxiliary Power Unit lifespan.
무기체계 양산 및 운영유지단계 품질관리 활동의 경제효과 분석 연구

Purpose: In this study, the economic effects—in terms of direct (micro) economic and indirect (macro) economic effects—of quality control activities employed for mass production and operation maintenance were analyzed by studying the quality control methods used for weapon systems by the Defense Agency for Technology and Quality. Methods: To analyze the direct and indirect economic effects, coefficient-based economic effect measurement and input/output analysis (inter-industry analysis) were performed. To verify the effectiveness and suitability of the proposed method, the direct/indirect economic effects of quality control activities employed by the Defense Agency for Technology and Quality from 2016 to 2021 were analyzed. Results: The direct and indirect economic effects of quality control measures employed for mass production and operation maintenance were calculated as 498.8 119.9 billion won, respectively, and the value-added inducement effect was calculated as 363.1 billion won, thus totaling 1483.1 billion won. Conclusion: The results showed that the proposed method can be used to analyze the economic effects of quality control activities employed by the Defense Agency for Technology and Quality for mass production and operation maintenance. By collecting data for various quality control activities outcomes, the economic effects can be analyzed more accurately.
