한국의 어린이도서는 세계 출판시장에서 문화상품으로서의 가치를 인정받고 있다. 국외에 소개되고 있는 한국 어린이도서의 출판 현황을 분석한 결과 중국에서는 어린이 학습용의 지식정보 그림책, 일본과 프랑스에서는 한국적 정서와 전통 문화를 다룬 전통문화 그림책이 중심을 이루고 있다. 특히 프랑스는 다양한 장르와 테마를 다룬 판타지 그림책과 어린이문학의 경계를 확장한 다양한 시도의 작품들을 소개하고 있다. 도서관계는 이러한 현상을 기반으로 어린이그림책의 독서콘텐츠로의 역할은 물론 우수한 문화콘텐츠로서의 역할과 확대 방안 등을 검토․제시할 수 있을 것이다. Korean picture books have been recognized for their value as cultural products in the international publication markets. As results of analysis of publishing situation of Korea picture books that have been introduced in the inside and outside of the country, knowledge information picture books for education are mainly exported to China, and picture books of traditional culture and books about Korean emotions to Japan and France. Specially in France, fantasy picture books in various genres and themes, and picture books with various attempts expanded the boundary to children’s literature have been introduced. Based on this situation, Korean Libraries can discuss and present their roles and extensional plans of picture books as reading contents and also fine cultural contents in other country.

그림책의 시각적 문식성에 관한 연구 - 사서의 독서지원서비스를 위한 -

Picture books, as a genre, are characterized by conveyance of ideas through linguistic texts, visual texts, and the complementary interactions between them. The writer of a picture book develops and delivers his or her ideas with textual contents written in a unique style, while the artist conveys the writer’s ideas through pictures where things, objects, and figures are imbued with various emotions. Understanding a picture in a picture book requires an understanding of both the structure shown on the surface and the underlying structure that adapts and visualizes the philosophy and ideas of the writer. In light of the discussion above, this study proposes a method to help librarians improve their understanding of visual literacy for picture books, as visual literacy is required for the provision of readers’ advisory services regarding picture books. This method, which is based on behavioral psychologist Rudolf Arnheim’s theory of visual thinking, is expected to help librarians write picture book reviews or other secondary materials. 그림책은 글과 그림으로 구성되어 언어 텍스트와 시각 텍스트 그리고 상호간의 보완작용을 통하여 의미가 전달되는 독특한 장르이다. 글 작가는 문체를 중심으로 하는 글의 내용으로 작가의 의도를 전개하고 전달하며, 그림 작가는 사물․대상․형상 등에 감정을 이입시킨 그림으로 작가의 의도를 전달한다. 그림은 표면적으로 보여지는 구조와 작가의 철학, 사상 등을 이미지화하여 변용한 심층적 구조에 관한 이해가 병행되어야 한다. 이에 행동주의 심리학자 Arnheim의 시각적 사고이론을 기반으로 그림책의 독서지원서비스를 위하여 사서들이 갖추어야 할 시각적 문식성의 이해를 돕기 위한 방법을 제안하였으며, 이는 사서들의 그림책 서평과 같은 이차자료 작성에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

도서관은 독자에게 독서정보를 제공하여야 할 의무와 책임이 있는 대표적 기관이며, 사서는 독자에게 도서에 관한 정보를 제공하기 위하여 아낌없는 상담과 조언을 할 수 있어야 한다. 독자들의 그림책에 관심이 높아지면서 도서관과 사서는 훌륭한 그림책은 어떤 것인지? 유사한 종류의 다양한 도서 중 어떤 것을 선택할 것인지? 등의 도서 선택과 독서에 도움을 줄 수 있는 그림책 서평을 정기적이고 지속적으로 작성 제공하여 독자들의 독서정보를 지원할 수 있어야 한다. 문학과 예술의 복합장르인 그림책 서평을 작성하기 위하여서는 내용소개는 물론 시각 텍스트에 관한 문학적 상징성 등의 해설적인 정보를 제공할 수 있어야 한다. 이를 위하여 사서는 작가의 사상과 철학을 이미지로 형상화한 심층적인 의미를 읽을 수 있는 시각적 문식성을 갖추어야 한다. 이에 옛 이야기 "빨간모자"를 다룬 두 작가의 그림책을 비교 분석하여 그림책 서평 작성 시 참고하여야 할 시각적 텍스트에 관한 이해를 돕고자 하였다. As a public institution, it is the duty and responsibility of a library to provide readers with information about books. To provide such information to readers, a librarian should have the ability to provide satisfactory consultation and advice. As interest in picture books grows, there is an increasing need for libraries and librarians to produce and release picture book reviews on a regular basis to inform readers of what makes a good picture book, and which among similar books should they choose. Other than summarizing the content of a picture book, a good picture book review should also provide additional information that will help readers understand the reviewed book such as the literary symbolism of a book's visual texts. To this end, a librarian is required to develop visual literacy, which would enable him/her to read into the deeper meaning of the images imbued with the writer's ideas and philosophy. In light of the above discussion, this study compares and analyzes two picture book versions of the story Little Red Riding Hood, with the purpose of helping librarians understand the visual texts that they need to refer to when writing picture book reviews.

어린이도서의 서평에 관한 연구 - 독서교육 관점으로의 접근 -

The purpose of this study is to determine the elements of the children’s book review that performs the role as a reading education material. The goal of children’s reading education is to raise critical reading ability. Therefore after grouping children’s book reviews into the descriptive review, interpretative review and critical review, their composed elements of each reviews has deduced. As the descriptive review describes the contents simply, it is suitable to make timely materials, such as newly published book list and recommended books in this month. The interpretative review and critical review briefly describe the contents, the scope, and the style of a book; they assess its quality critically, suggests its potential audience, and reflects the book reviewer’s opinions and assertions. Both reviews can be used for worthy reference materials in education of reading. 본 연구는 어린이도서 서평이 독서교육자료로서의 역할을 수행하기 위해 갖추어야 할 요소들에 관한 것이다. 어린이독서 교육은 비판적 독서 능력 신장을 목표로 한다. 이에 어린이도서 서평을 기능에 따라 기술 서평, 해설 서평, 비평 서평으로 그룹화한 후에 그 구성 항목을 도출하였다. 기술 서평은 사실 전달에 충실한 자료로 신간도서안내, 이 달의 추천 도서 등 ‘시의성’이 중요한 자료 작성 시 적합하다. 해설 서평과 비평서평은 책의 내용, 스타일 등을 간략하게 기술하고, 서평자의 전문적 견해와 평가를 반영하여 작품을 비평적으로 평가하고 잠재적 독자를 제시함으로써 독서 교육의 훌륭한 참고 자료로 활용될 수 있다.

시장 경쟁이 신용카드 연체부도율에 미치는 효과에 대한 실증분석

본 연구의 목적은 신용카드사간의 경쟁이 연체율을 높이는 방향으로 영향을 미쳤는가를 검증하고자 한다. 카드사간의 경쟁의 심화는 선별위험을 키워 연체율을 높이는 방향으로도 작용하지만, 사용자들이 부담하는 가격(이자율)을 낮추어 연체율을 낮추는 방향으로도 영향을 미칠 수 있기 때문이다. 이를 위해 우선 시장경쟁의 심화가 가격과 생존기간에 미치는 효과를 분석하고 최종적으로 연체율에 어떠한 방향으로 작용하는가를 파악한다. 분석결과 시장경쟁의 심화는 직관적인 예상과 다르게 사용자들이 부담하는 이자비용을 높이는 방향으로, 생존기간을 늘리는 방향으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 시장경쟁의 심화는 연체율에 음의 방향으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났기 때문에 생존기간을 연장시키는 효과가 상대적으로 더 크게 작용한다고 볼 수 있다. 특히 경쟁의 심화가 사용자의 한도를 높여 카드 사용자의 자금상환 능력을 개선시키는 효과가 큰 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 놓고 본다면 신용카드사의 과당 시장경쟁으로 신용불량자를 양산했다는 일부의 주장은 잘못된 것으로 판단된다. 최근 신용카드사의 과당경쟁에 대한 우려가 제기되면서 신용카드 시장에의 정부규제의 필요성이 제기되고 있다. 하지만 연구결과에 나타난 바와 같이 경쟁이 연체율에 미치는 효과는 다양한 원인에 의해 다양한 경로로 나타나기 때문에 정책결정 시이들 간의 상호작용을 고려해야 할 것이다.
