On-line games have become the focus of entertainment and multimedia industries as developments in computer technologies are accelerated and the use of Internet diffuse broadly. In spite of such growth of on-line games, academic discussion regarding this phenomenon is relatively limited. This research examined several factors that affect the level of user's commitment on Online games. The level of commitment was classified into two categories, the "usage level commitment" which measures the volume and frequency of use, and the "psychological commitment" which measures the psychological responses to on-line games.
An Exploratory Investigation Of Player Loyalty To Online Games

Online games have become the focus of entertainment and multimedia industries as the developments in computer technologies are accelerated and the use of the Internet diffuses broadly. In spite of such growth of online games, academic discussions regarding online games are relatively limited. This research examines several factors that affect player loyalty to online games in this research the loyalty is classified into two categories, the behavioral loyalty measured by the intensity, volume, and frequency of use, and the cognitive loyalty measured by the degree of immersion in online games. In this research, an integrated model to explain and predict player loyalty to online games is proposed. Two studies are conducted to test the research model. Throughout analyzing 334 respondents, the first study finds that the impulsive personality of individual players significantly affects both behavioral loyalty and cognitive loyalty. Additionally, it finds that, whereas the behavioral loyalty is influenced by the convenience of online game playing the cognitive loyalty is influenced by the motive of game playing and the playfulness of games. The second study finds that the behavioral loyalty differs across demographic difference of player(age and occupation), preferred online games of players, and online game playing locations, but the cognitive loyalty differs across only age differences of players. This research has opened a forum for social awareness about the online game culture, provided information to guide online game producers to prepare customer-oriented online games, and created a foundation for academic research on online game industry.
Synthesis and Characterization of Fully Aromatic Polyazomethines with Cyano Functional Group

We herein report the preparation and characterization of a new type of fully aromatic polyazomethines (PAMs) with the cyano functional group. For synthesizing this compound, two homopolymers, poly(nitrilo-2-cyano-1,4-phenylenenitrilomethine-1,3-phenylenemethine) (mPAM) and poly(nitrilo-2-cyano-1,4-phenylenenitrilomethine-1,4-phenylenemethine) (pPAM) and their copolymers, poly[(nitrilo-2-cyano-1,4-phenylenenitrilomethine-1,4-phenylenemethine)-co-(nitrilo-2-cyano-1,4-phenylenenitrilomethine-1,3-phenylenemethine)]s (coPAMs), were synthesized via the polycondensation of terephthalaldehyde (TPA), isophthalaldehyde (IPA), and 2-cyano-1,4-phenylenediamine (cyPPD) monomers in an $NMP/CaCl_2$ solvent system. The $^1H-NMR$ and FT-IR spectra confirmed that all the aromatic PAMs were successfully synthesized and that the output compositions of coPAMs were almost identical to the relative input composition of TPA and IPA to cyPPD. mPAM, with a nonlinear meta-phenylene moiety, exhibited good solubility in organic solvents such as NMP, DMSO, and DMAc, while pPAM and coPAMs were partially soluble in those solvents owing to the rigid para-phenylene moiety in the main chains. Accordingly, unlike mPAM, pPAM and coPAMs were semicrystalline, as revealed by their X-ray diffraction patterns. Interestingly, the peak decomposition temperatures ($667-769^{\circ}C$) in air were higher than those ($452-594^{\circ}C$) in nitrogen, although the residues (74-81%) at $800^{\circ}C$ in nitrogen were far higher than those (16-47%) in air.
