본 연구에 사용된 비이온성 계면활성제는 1-O-oleoyl glycerol, 2-O-oleoyl-myo-inositol 및 methyl 2-O-oleoyl-α-D-glucopyranoside였다. 이들 3종류의 비이온성 계면활성제에 대한 용액성질과 가용화과정은 상평형에 의하여 관찰하였다. 그 결과 계면활성제/물 2성분계와 3wt.%계면활성제/물/cyclohexane 3성분계는 각각 온도에 의존하는 것으로 나타났다. 계면활성제/물/cyclohexane계에서 3상영역은 27℃∼32℃, 36℃∼45℃와 38℃∼52℃의 온도 범위에서 각각 나타났으며 3상영역의 부근에서 물 및 오일의 가용화가 최대가 되었다. 계면활성제/물계의 온도변화에 따른 상거동을 살펴 본 결과 1-O-oleoyl glycerol은 hexagonal 액정상이, 2-O-oleoyl-myo-inositol 및 methyl 2-O-oleoyl-α-D-glucopyranoside는 lamella형태의 액정상이 관찰되었다. 1-O-oleoyl glycerol, 2-O-oleoyl myo-inositol and methyl 2-O-oleoyl-α-D-glucopyranoside were used as surfactants in this study. The solution properties and solubilization process of those nonionic surfactants were examined by the phase equilibria. As a result of this study, we have found that phase behavior of two component systems of surfactants/H₂O/cyclohexane depends on temperature respectively. The three phase regions of three component systems appeared in the temperature range of 27℃∼32℃, 36℃∼45℃and 38℃∼52℃ and solubilization of water and oil was high in those three phase ranges, As the temperature was varied in the two component systems, liquid crystals of hexagonal were observed to in the case of 1-O-oleoyl glycerol, and liquid crystal of lamella types were observed in the case of 2-O-oleoyl myo-inositol and methyl 2-O-oleoyl-α-D-glucopyranoside.

The ultraviolet blocking agents used to skineare are largely classified ultraviolet scattering agent and ultraviolet absorbent agents. There are UVC, UVB, and UBA in ultraviolet ray(UV) showing shorter wavelength than visible light. Both visible light and UVA give rise to 1st dark-skinned phenomena. On exposure of the skin to UV, phenomena of skin variation are termed sunburn or suntan. There are chronic and acute adverse reactions in skin response to UV. The latter is caused by UVB, which has mainly effects on the skin. But lately due to destruction of ozone layer, UVA has more serious irritation on the skin than UVB. In this paper spectrometric properties of UV absorbent agents such as PABA, octyl-PABA, Urocanic acid, and 2-hydroxy-4-methoxy benzophenone in vitro have been investigate. As results, it was found that the three fomer were more suitable than the last. UV scattering measurements on the sample used inorganic pigments showed that pigments containing titanium dioxide had a better scattering effects than the inorganic pigments such as Fe_2O_3, Al_2O_3, etc.

Many different types of synthetic surfactant are being used, but it is important to devolop for a broad range of purposes in a large variety of different application. Biosurfactant are important because the present a much broader range of surfactant types and properties than the available synthetic surfactant. futhermore, they are easily biodegradab1e and low toxicity, which reduce the potential of pollution. This article discusses the structure and properties of the glycolipid biosurfactants, their production and isolation from fermentation broths, and their potential applications.

Imidazoline compounds have been developed in many industrial fields(eg. cosmetic, etc.). These materials can be used in almost all pH ranges and recently its use is successively increased because of nonirritative property. Since the concern of safety has enlarged at industrial application, naturaly the use of amphoteric surfactants with new special properties has more. We report general properties of chemical structures of imidazoline surfactants effect.

The syntheses of urocanic acid esters was optimized, starting from p-toluenesulfonic acid salt of this acid and long chain fatty alcohols in the organic solvent and extracting water from it by means of azeotropic Compound. The salts of these urocanic acid esters showed amphoteric properties, but their micellization enhances their rate of hydrolysis leading to the free amine. Nevertheless the long chain gives to the esters themselves an amphoteric character allowing their solubilization in micellar media and in microemulsions the result, yield could enhanced.

The sodium α-sulfo fatty acid vinyl ester oligomers, which are oligomer type surfactants were prepared by polymerization with fatty acid vinyl acetate. The α-sulfonation of fatty acid vunyl ester oligomers were carried by direct addition of sulfur trioxide. The dispersing performance of oligomer type anionic surfactants and sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS) in the aqueous suspension of iron oxide and titanium dioxide particles was evaluated by particle size distribution and zeta-potential measurement. As results, the particles of iron oxide and titanium dioxide were flocculated by addition of small amount of oligomer type anionic surfactants and sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS), then the flocks redispersed by more addition of oligomer type anionic surfactants and SDS. The flocculation, redispersion process was observed in lower concentration range of oligomer type anionic surfactants than SDS. Especially, the dispersing action of sodium α-sulfo palmitic acid vinyl ester oligomer was better than sodium α-sulfo lauric acid vinyl ester oligomer.
