Masking scheme thwarts SCAs while it requires huge additional cost to implement. In [5], Nassar et al. proposes efficient Rotating Sbox Masking (RSM) which is small and fast countermeasure for AES. This small masking tolerates both Variance-based Power Analysis (VPA) and second-order zero-offset Correlation Power Analysis (CPA). In DPA Contest v4, an attack challenge against AES-RSM was held and a variety of profiling and non-profiling attack methods were introduced. Reproducible non-profiling attack of Zhang et al. thwarts AES-RSM by using power consumption manipulating mask load operation. However, unfortunately, they don’t proposes the way to detect the instant for mask computation on measured trace. In this paper, we suggest practical mask load position recovering method based on plaintext data. Additionally, we demonstrate that our attack exploiting retrieved mask instant yields identical results to existing attack utilizing mask load position of Zhang.

Collision tumors of the colon are rare. A 54-year-old man was referred to our hospital for the evaluation of hematochezia. Colonoscopy demonstrated the presence of about 3 cm sized mass in the rectosigmoid junction. After surgical resection, the colonic lesion was histologically composed of two discrete lesions: adenocarcinoma in the superficial layer and poorly differentiated neuroendocrine carcinoma in the deeper layer. We report this case of colonic collision tumor (adenocarcinoma and neuroendocrine carcinoma) with a review of the literature. (Korean J Gastroenterol 2012;60:325-329)

Titanium alloys have been spotlighted in numerous industries owing to their superior mechanical properties, such as high specific strength. However, the high heat and wear resistance of titanium alloys also lower their machinability and limit the wider application of the material. Many researchers have investigated the processing of titanium alloys, and it is required to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of developed technologies. From this perspective, this research studied sustainability in titanium alloy machining. The power consumption of the machine was measured during the process and analyzed in terms of process parameters and individual machine components. Here, an end mill specially designed for titanium was also investigated and compared with a general-purpose cutting tool. Based on the experimental results, a model was constructed to predict the power consumption of the overall process. It is expected that this study will contribute to the more effective and efficient processing of titanium alloys.
液浸培養에 依한 酒精製造에 對하여 : (第Ⅱ報) 培地選定

1. 液浸培養에 適當한 9種類培地로 前報에서 選定한 Aspergillus inuii, A. niger NRRL 337 및 330 을 使用하여 糖化力을 檢定하였다。 2. 培地中 C.D兩培地가 振動培養 및 Aeration培養에 있어서 다 優秀한것 같으나 一致되지않는 結果를 發見하였다。 卽 原料를 甘藷와 玉蜀黍를 組成分으로 할때에 이들 糖化力에는 何等의 影響을 주지 않었었다。 3. 培地組成分에 앞서서 培地中의 溶存酸素量이 이들 酵素生産力에 至大한 影響을 주는것 같다。 4. 本實驗에 있어서는 前報와는 달리 A. niger NRRL 337이 A. inuii보다 優秀한것 같다。 1) The saccharifying activities of the previously reported strains, Aspergillus inuii, Aspergillus niger NRRL 337 and 330 were examined for nine kinds of culture media suitable for a submerged culture, under the culture conditions of shaking and aeration. 2) Although both media C and D seem to be superior to other culture media under the conditions of shaking and aeration, the result does not coincide. That is, the saccharifying activities were not affected to any extent by the difference of raw material, sweet potato and corn. 3) The dissolved oxygen in the culture media has greater effect on the production of enzymes than the composition of the media does. 4) Aspect from the previous report, A niger NRRL 337 seems to be better in saccharifying activities than A. inuii in these experiments.
