The floor slipperiness is an essential property for the pedestrian safety. This study was conducted to develop theslip test apparatus to be well accorded with actual characteristics of human gait; and the correlation between RCOF(Required coefficient of friction), Rz (Surface roughness), and 3 coefficients of slip resistance (C.S.R (Coefficient ofslip resistance), BPN (British pendulum number), and SCOF (Static coefficient of friction)) were analyzed. Result ofthe analysis revealed that the cadence, stride length, and step length were proportional to the walking speed, and thesignificant correlation between walking speed and RCOF was found. However, the correlation between RCOF and theother respective coefficients of slip resistance was almost unidentified thus it would be difficult to identify the actualproperty of floor slipperiness with the RCOF alone. 바닥의 미끄럼 저항은 보행자 안전을 위해 반드시 필요한 성능이다. 본 연구는 실제 인간의 미끄럼과 잘 대응하는 미끄럼 시험장치를 개발하기 위한 기초적 연구로서,지면 마찰력(RCOF)과 표면 거칠기(Rz) 및 3가지 미끄럼저항계수(C.S.R, BPN, SCOF) 간의 상관성을 분석하였다. 보행 속도가 증가할수록 보간 거리, 보폭, 분당 보행수 모두 증가하며, 보행 속도와 RCOF 간에는 유의한 상관성이 있었다. 그러나 RCOF와 각 미끄럼 저항계수 간에는 상관성이 거의 없기 때문에 RCOF만으로는 바닥의미끄럼 저항 특성을 파악하기 힘들다.

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of exercise training on the strength and balance ability of the elderly. The results of this study are: 1) After 8 weeks exercise training, knee muscle strength showed a significant increment. 2) After exercise training, forward functional reach and balance index of KAT 2000 showed a significant increment. Results indicate that strengthening exercise can result in improved muscle strength and balance in the elderly. Further studies are required to show long-term effects of exercise training on the elderly.
미끄럼 바닥에서 안정성 유지를 위한 균형 전략과 평가방법

Slipping during various kinds of movement often leads to potentially dangerous incidents of falling. The purpose of this paper was to review some of the research performed in the field including such topics as rating scales for balance, kinematics and kinetics of slipping, adaptation to slippery conditions, postural and balance control, and protective movement during falling. Controlling slipping and fall injuries requires a multifaceted approach. Environmental conditions (state of floor surface, tidiness, lighting, etc), work task (walking, carrying, pushing, lifting, etc), and human behavior (anticipation of hazards, adaptation to risks, risk taking, etc) must be accounted for in the assessment of slip and fall-related risks. Future directions of research must deal with modeling of basic tribophysical, biomechanical, and postural control process involved in slipping and falling.
어선어업의 성장동력 확보를 위한 어선해기사의 인적자원개발 및 근로복지 개선방향

어느 산업분야든지 우수한 인력의 확보는 산업의 발전에 필수적 요소이다. 우수한 산업인력이 지속적으로 확보되기 위해서는 해당 직종에 대하여 직업으로 선택할 수 있는 직업적 매력이 존재하여야 한다. 이를 위해서는 인력양성체계는 물론 직종에 대한 사회적 인정과 복지제도 등이 안정적으로 구축되어 있어야 한다. 그러나 어선어업은 3D직종이 가지고 있는 문제점만이 아니라 시간적 공간적으로 장기간 가정이나 사회로부터 떨어져야 하는 문제까지 더하여져 있다. 이러한 문제점 때문에 기피 직업이 되어감으로써 충분한 인력이 확보되지 못하고 있다. 어선어업은 삼면이 바다로 둘러싸여 있는 한국의 경제발전에 많은 기여를 하여 왔으며 우수한 단백질 공급의 식량 산업이며 안보와 국력신장에 반드시 필요한 산업으로써 앞으로도 국가의 발전을 위하여 천혜의 입지조건을 활용하여 지속적으로 발전시켜나가야 할 것이다. 그러기 위해서는 어선해기사의 인력을 충분히 확보할 수 있는 정책적 방안이 마련되어야 한다. 그러므로 이 연구에서는 어선해기사의 체계적인 인적자원 개발과 관리 그리고 근로환경 개선 방향을 제시함으로써 어선어업의 지속적 성장과 발전에 필요한 우수한 어선해기사의 인적자원 방안을 모색하고자 하였다. Ensuring excellent manpower is an essential element for industrial development in every industry. In order to secure excellent manpower continuously, they should be attracted to take occupation with interest in relevant profession. For this purpose social acknowledgement for occupational category and welfare system as well as system of fostering excellent manpower are required to be established stably. But fishing boat fishery not only has problem in 3D occupational category but also has further trouble of being far from home or society for a long time. Due to this kind of problem, people are evading to get this profession to cause difficulty to secure sufficient manpower. Fishing boat fishery has contributed much to economic development of Korea surrounded by three sides of sea as an requisite industry to provide food with good albumin and national security and buildup of national strength to be developed continuously in the future by making use of geographical conditions in Heaven's blessing. For this concern, a policy to maintain satisfactory number of marine engineer must be established. Therefore this research is aimed at trying to find a solution to secure excellent fishing boat engineer as manpower resources required for continuous growth and development of fishing boat fishery by means of suggesting direction for improvement of workfare.
정상 보행과 발가락 보행의 하지 근육 근 활성도 비교 : An Electromyographic Analysis3.

This study was designed to identify the effects of walking conditions (normal walking vs. toe-walking) on electromyographic (EMG) activity of gastrocnemius, tibialis anterior, and soleus muscle. Seven healthy adult males participated in this study. The exclusion criteria were orthopedic or neurologic disease, congenital anomaly or acquired deformity, or pain in low back or lower extremities. The maximal voluntary isometric contraction for each muscle was used for the reference contraction, and EMG activity of each muscle during normal walking and toe-walking was expressed as a percentage of reference contraction. The gait cycle was determined with two foot switches, and gait was normalized as 100% gait cycle for each condition. The maximal values of EMG activity in terminal stance (30~50% of gait cycle) of each condition were compared for data analysis. No significant differences were found in EMG activity of the tibialis anterior and soleus (p<.05), whereas significant decrement was found in EMG activity of gastrocnemius during toe-walking compared to normal walking (p<.05). There is a limitation to generalize the results of this study, because small number of subjects participated for this study and only EMG was used for data collection. The treatment methods should be developed to improve gait efficiency by substituting the weakened muscles secondary to upper motor neuron, or by strengthening the distal muscles in lower extremity.
