Background/Aims: The present study investigated effects of nitric oxide on hyperdynamic circulation associated with peripheral vasodilation in partial portal vein ligated rat. Methods: Portal hypertensive rats were divided into 3 groups. Group 1 received an intravenous bolus injection of saline. Group 2 received N -Nitro-L-Arginine (NNA) and group 3 was administrated with L-arginine 5 min before administration of NNA. Systemic and hepatic hemodynamics were measured by radioisotope labeled microsphere method and vascular resistance was calculated by standard equation. Results: In group 1, mean arterial pressure was significantly decreased, compared with controls, and cardiae output and splanchnic vasodilation were increased (p$lt;0.01). On the other hend, in group 2, mean arterial pressure was significantly increased, and cardiac output was decreased. Moreover, splanchnic vascular resistance (p$lt;0.05) of this group was higher than that of controls despite of no change in portal pressure (p$gt;0.05). Such changes by NNA in group 2 were blocked by prior adminstration of L-arginine (p$lt;0.05) in group 3. Conclusions: These findings indicate that the chronic portal hyperdynamic circulatory characteristics can be attenuated by NNA. Thus, nitric oxide may be implicated in the pathogenesis of hemodynamic disturbances and splanchnic vasodilation associated with chronic portal hypertension.

On Calcium Deposition prevention Effects of Water-Soluble Polymer Builders.(Ⅲ) -- The effect of Substratum -- The influence of substrates on calcium deposition on the fabrics water studied by repeated laundering the Rayon.Cotton, Polyester(P.E.T) and alkali-treated P.E.T fabrics with water solubte polymer builders and sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate (NaDBS) in the hard water of 300P.P.M. CaCO_3. The polymer builders were used polyvinylalchohol(PVA) and sodium carboxymethyl cellulose(NaCMC). The amounts of calcium deposits on the fabric was determinded by EDTA-book-Titration methods. The results of this study were as follows: 1. It was found that PVA and NaCMC were effective to prevent on calcium deposition on all samples in spite of the dissimilarily properties in each fabric. 2. When PVA was used, the deposition of calcium onto the polyester fabric was particularly prevented, and the prevention effect of NaCMC was shown remarkably at cellulose fabrics. 3. The surface conditions of the substrate had an influence on calcium deposition, and the facrics of irregular or coarse surface were affected the presence of NaDBS in washing system.

Allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis(ABPA) is characterized by asthma and hypersensivity reaction to Aspergillus fumigatus. The typical symtoms of ABPA are fleeting pulmonary infiltrates, eosinophilia, wheezing, fever and brownish sputum. Some exacerbations of ABPA mimic bacterial pneumonia, pulmonary tuberculosis with pulmonary infiltrates, mucopurulent sputum and fever. Out case was misdiagnosed as pulmonary tuberculosis and recurrent pneumonia previously, so treated by antituberculous drugs and antibiotics. We report a case of ABPA mimicking pulmonary tuberculosis.

When using the PVA and NaCMC as water-soluble polymer builders on calcium deposititon on the fabrics, the effect of n-Alkyltrimethylammonium Bromide having various chain length of alkyl groups as surfactants was observed. The results were as follows ; 1. The deposition of calcium onto the fabrics were generally reduced with increasing the polymer concentration, and the prevention effect of calcium deposition of the polymer builders were shown effectively at PVA-PET and NaCMC-Cotton. 2. The amounts of calcium deposits onto the fabrics were greatly decreased with increaseing the C_nTABr concentration, and this time the prevention effect of calcium deposition becames more reamrkable with growing alkyl chain length of C_nTABr.

본 논문에서는 온라인 교육에서의 컨텐츠의 효율적 관리와 중복개발방지 및 재사용성을 위한 교육학습시스템의 표준화 수립과 수요자 중심의 맞춤교육을 통한 학업성취도를 높이기 위한 방안들을 모색하여 보다 효율적인 온라인 학습 시스템에 근접한 LTSA기반의 초등수학 안내시스템을 제안한다. 학습자 특성에 따라 학습 진도/방법을 제시하여 프로그램학습의 기계적인 교육이 되지 않도록 학습자의 개인간차(학습자와 학습자)를 고려하였다. 또한 표준안을 기반으로 구현된 초등학교 교육 활용사례를 통한 교육의 학습내차(학습자 내부영역)의 문제를 부각시켜 시스템 내의 지도(coach)프로세스를 활성화할 수 있는 방안을 제시한다. We suggest on this paper the LTSA-based Guide System for elementary mathematics, that is useful in managing of educational contents, avoiding redundant contents-development and improving reusability of contents. And it gives more satisfaction to the learner by making leaner choose his own courses. We considered the educational differences between learners, for the learning not to be a mechanical thing, by giving the educational course and method adequate to the learner. By focusing on the educational differences between learners resulted from elementary educational adaption example implemented on the base of the international standard, we suggested a method for activating the coaching process in the system.

The influence of the water-soluble polymer builders on calcium deposition on the fabric was studied by repeating laundering the cotton fabric with Na DBS in hare water of 300P.P.M. CaCO_3. The polymers were used sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (NaCMC) and poly vinyl alcohol (PVA). The amount of calcium deposits on the fabric was determined by EDTA-Back-titration methods. The results of this study were as follows: 1. The amount of calcium deposits on the fabric increased with increasing wash cycles, however the prevention effects of polymer builder were shown, particularly at NaCMC. 2. By increasing the polymer contentration, the amount of calcium deposits on the fabric was decreased remarkably at NaCMC. This result seemed that because the promotion of negative zeta potential of NaCMC-NaDBS laundering system. 3. It seemed that the prevention effect on calcium deposition on the fabric was due to complex formation between polymer and NaDBS. 4. The amount of calcium deposits on the fabric was gradually increased with elevating temperature, and that was remarkably promoted at higher temperature than 60℃ 5. As the water hardness increased, the amount of calcium deposits on the fabric was increased, however the prevention effect of polymer builder was maintained. 6. When STPP was added to laundering system, the amount of calcium deposits on the fabric was remarkably decreased.

When useing Sodium carboxymetyl cellulose (NaCMC) as polymer builder in the removal of deposited calcium on the cotton fabric, the effect of Sodium n-alkylsulfate having various chain length of alkyl group as surfactant was investigated. The results of this study were as follows: 1. The amount of calcium removal was increased by increasing the concentrtion of surfactants, and that remarkably icreased at cirtical micelle concentration (c.m.c) of each Sodium nalkylsufate. 2. The amount of calcium removal was increased by increasing the concentration of NaCMC. It seemed that this was due to complex formation between NaCMC and surfactant by a strong hydrophobic interaction. 3. The influence of temperature becames more remarkable with growing alkyl chain length of Sodium n-alkylsufate. 4. By adding the Na_2 SO_4 the rate of calcium removal was increased, and that especially increased in the case of C_14(Sodium tetradecylsulfate). 5. Generally the order of calcium removal effect of Sodium n-alkylsulfates were C_16>C_14>C_18>C12.
