특수 방호공간에서 가상화재의 발생으로 인한 화재거동에 관한 수치적 연구

본 연구의 목적은 청정실 내부에서 가상의 화재가 발생할 경우 화재 확산 및 연기의 전파 현상을 예측하기 위하여 실시하였다. 청정실 내의 화재로 인한 온도 및 속도분포의 해석은 유한체적법을 이용한 수치적 방법으로 해석하였으며 난류유동장의 계산은 표준 $k-{\varepsilon}$ 모델을 적용하여 실시하였다. 본 연구 결과는 화재발생 후 150초가 지난 후에는 화재가 완전히 성장한 것으로 나타났으며 이 경우 환기장치는 화재가 완전히 성장한 후에 정지하는 것으로 가정하였다. 연기의 질량분율은 온도 분포와 거의 유사한 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 청정실에서 화재가 발생할 경우 화재 성장이 60초 내에 전공간의 $20{\sim}30%$까지 확산되므로 내부에 있는 사람은 30초 이내에 대피하는 것이 바람직하다. The objective of the present study is to predict the characteristics of the fire and smoke propagations in a clean room. Numerical calculations have been performed by using the finite volume method to obtain temperature and velocity distributions in the clean room. In odor to account for the turbulent flow characteristics, the standard $k-{\varepsilon}$ model is used. From this study, it was found that the fire propagation could be fully developed only after 150 seconds when the ventilation system in the clean room was off. And the smoke mass fraction showed a similar distribution as the gas temperature. Since the simulated fire was proceeded up to $20{\sim}30%$ of the room within 60 seconds. it could be recommended that the occupants should be evacuated from the room within 30 seconds.

A simulation software is developed for the fluidized bed sludge incinerator. The software includes; 1) the heat and mass balances are computed for the combustor, 2) the shell and tube type air heater is designed for proper supply of the fluidizing air, and 3) the heat recovery steam generator is designed for recovering the waste energy. Some sample calculations of the sludge incinerator plants are successful to result in reasonable system balance and design data.
불균일 대기층의 투과 특성을 고려한 물체로부터의 적외선 신호 분석용 소프트웨어 개발 연구

The infrared (IR) wavelength band of emitted energy is widely used for military purposes by detecting and discriminating objects against the background. Particularly, ships in the marine environment or aircraft in the sky can be easily exposed to the IR detector because the object has different surface temperature and optical properties as compared to the surrounding backgrounds. Previous study focused on the characteristics of the object IR signal for uniform atmospheric conditions. However, the atmospheric condition may not be uniform due to the local fog or rain. For non-uniform aerosol compositions, the IR signal from the object changes according to the local variation of the transmissivity of the atmosphere between the object and the detector. In estimating the infrared signal transmission through a nonuniform atmosphere it is necessary to estimate the atmospheric transmittance by using the weather data set measured at discrete locations with reasonable number of measurement points. In this study, the IR signal transfer characteristics through a nonuniform atmosphere originated from an object is analyzed by using a software developed in our lab and we are presenting the sensitivity of the discrete grid size for the local weather data on accuracy of the resulting IR signal transmission through nonuniform atmosphere.
적외선 영상 생성 및 분석을 위한 종합 소프트웨어 개발

국내에서 개발 중인 장비의 기술 유출 방지와 국내 환경에 맞는 적외선 신호 분석 S/W 개발에 대한 요구가 있어 왔다. 본 논문에서는 적외선 영상을 생성하기 위한 적외선 신호 분석 S/W에 대한 구성과 특정 파장대역의 적외선 영상 생성 방법 및 분석 방법에 대해 나타내었다. 개발된 적외선 신호 분석 S/W는 표면온도 해석 결과와 물체의 자체방사 성분 및 반사성분 그리고 대기경로 복사성분을 통해 적외선 영상을 생성하도록 구성되어 있다. 대부분의 상용 S/W에는 복사 대비값 및 탐지거리 또는 탐지율 분석 기능이 포함되어 있지 않지만 개발된 S/W에는 생성된 적외선 영상을 이용하여 위협도 분석할 수 있는 기술을 포함하고 있다. Recently there has been an increasing demand for developing a domestic software (S/W) for infrared signature generation to prevent technology leakage and match the domestic operating environment. In this study, we developed a S/W for infrared signature generation and presented its structures and functions for creating and analyzing the IR images of designated spectral bands. The proposed S/W generates IR images of an object through calculations of surface temperatures and IR signals including the self-emitted, surface reflected and path dependent radiances. Moreover, the proposed S/W includes the features of infrared threat analyses from the generated IR images including the infrared contrast radiant intensity (CRI), detection ranges or detection probability analyses, unlike the imported, commercial infrared signature generation S/W.
거제도 인근해상에서 운용되는 함정의 적외선 신호 변화 특성에 대한 연구

It is essential to understand the infrared signature of a naval ship to survive against various missile attacks under variable environmental conditions. As guided missiles are developing to equip more accurate IR seekers, research works for countermeasure and IR stealth technology are strongly required. But challenging works are continuously suggested for predicting and analyzing IR signal status of naval ships to achieve low observable performance under various weather conditions, variable missions and developing threats. In this study, overall guidelines of setting design criteria for low observable ships are proposed by considering varying environmental conditions including daily and seasonal variations. Test and evaluation criteria for newly constructed ships for target and background temperature difference is proposed as a design criteria which can be predicted by change of condition and ship's speed. Through the proposed techniques and procedures, it is expected to establish the measurement and evaluation criteria by using temperature, IR Signal differences between the ship and the background.
