정보 격차 해소를 위한 초고속 인터넷 망 확대에 대한 경제성 분석

본 연구의 목적은 농어촌 지역의 정보격차 해소를 위한 초고속정보통신 인프라 구축 확대에 대해 경제성을 분석하여 정부 및 민간 통신사업자에게 정보화사업 확대의 당위성과 추진 전략을 제안하는 데에 있다. 초고속 인터넷 망에 대한 접근성이 결여된 상태에서 도시와 농어촌 지역 간에 정보격차가 발생될 수밖에 없는 상황을 살펴보고, 농어촌 지역의 마을 형태별 FTTH 망 구성을 위해 가입자 댁내 인입 구간인 1.3Km~1.5Km 범위를 대상으로 경제성 분석을 하였다. 통신 인프라 망의 구축을 통하여 창출되는 유무형의 사회적 편익요소의 가치를 고려할 때 중앙정부에서 주도적으로 정보화 사업을 추진할 필요가 있으며, 이를 위해 효과적으로 정보격차를 해소시킬 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다. The objective of this paper is to analyze the profitability of expanding the high-speed internet network and provide the strategy and policy for the government and telecommunication providers to fill the information gaps in rural areas. First, we analyzed the situation where the accessibility of high-speed internet networks is deficient and reasons why it is slow to build the communication network infrastructure in the remote agricultural and fishing areas. Then economic analysis was performed to find out how much it cost to make it possible for every village of rural areas to access the high-speed internet network as well as sensitivity analysis.

We estimate the option value embedded in reverse mortgages using the framework of European put option. The reverse mortgage is a very useful financial product for senior citizens who own homes but do not have a cash income while it is a high risk one from lender’s perspective. One of benefits of the reverse mortgages is that the debt limit is restricted to the scope of the disposition price of the collateralized house, which is considered a put option to borrowers. The put option is evaluated using Black-Scholes model and a sensitive analysis is performed on variables such as discount rate, volatility, and time period. We confirm that the option value of reverse mortgages increases rapidly as the borrowers live longer than their life expectancy. The results of this study can be used to promote the reverse mortgage program more effectively in order to solve the problem of income shortage of the elderly homeowners.

The ever-growing demands for more responsiveness and more flexibility in manufacturing generate greater expectation for the AGV system. So far, a significant amount of research has been carried out to fulfill those requirements. However, the dynamic characteristics of manufacturing systems make it hard to solve the problem analytically. In this paper, the AGV system is analyzed in the production environments which adopt a cycle time to produce materials. The use of the cycle time could eliminate much of uncertainty inherent in the manufacturing process so that it is possible to build the deterministic model for the AGV systems, which eventually produce better results on the important issue such as AGV dispatching determination of the number of AGVs, and empty vehicle travel time.

Internet bookstores are one of the first shopping malls appeared in Internet and the symbolic entity representing the e-commerce. Nowadays, e-commerce is prevalent and it is not unusual any more to see customers place an order at home on Internet. The Internet bookstore, however, struggles to attract customers and increase market shares as the book market enters upon recession. The price discount, currently a very controversial issue in the publishing industry, is the powerful weapon Internet bookstores heavily depend on in the competitive market. This paper empirically analyzes the price discount conditions among Internet bookstores to find out the effectiveness of the fixed price regulation and the extent of competition of Internet bookstores. The profitability of Internet bookstores is also investigated so as to evaluate the current price discount race.

This paper proposes a general guideline for developing standards on the AS/RS(Automated Storage and Retrieval System) that have already been implemented in a machine tool company. a member of G7 CIM project. An attempt is made at deriving the AS/RS standards that are not only easy to be implemented but also sure to be realized. First, the current state-of-the art for the relating standards and technologies is thoroughly reviewed and the domestic AS/RS suppliers and users are investigated through the personal interview and data survey. Then, the standards items that have to be considered are defined, and described in more detail. Finally, propagation effects and practical applications resulting from the AS/RS standardization are discussed.

기업의 자산은 크게 3부분으로 구성된다. 즉, 운전자본, 유형자산, 그리고 무형자산이 그것이다. 기업가치를 정확하게 평가하기 위해서는 유령자산뿐만 아니라 무령자간의 가치도 정확하게 추계해야 하며, 그 밖에 상황에 있어서도 무형자산의 가치를 추계해야 할 현실적 필요성은 많이 있다. 최근 지적재산권에 관한 사회적 관심이 증대됨에 따라, 국내에서도 이에 관련된 저서나 논문들이 많이 발행되고 있다. 그러나 이것들은 대부분 법적 관점에서 접근한 것일 뿐, 감정평가의 관점에서 접근한 것은 별로 없다. 우리 나라에서는 무형자산의 평가방법이나 평가 기준이 제대로 정비되어 있지 않으며, 이에 대한 실부적 경험이나 이론적 축적이 미흡한것이 실정이다. 본 연구는 주류 유통시장에서의 무형자산에 대한 합리적이고 신뢰성 있는 평가방법을 제시하여 무형자산평가에 대한 실무적인 일익을 하고자 한다.

As passengers feel uneasy about the subway since the fire accident on subway trains in Taegu, this research is intended to appraise the influence of safety upon the customer-satisfaction for the Metropolitan subway. First, the structure of survey models for customer satisfaction of metropolitan subways are reviewed and the safety issues on subways are discussed. Then, using the framework of the Gallup Korea survey, a new survey which includes questions regarding safety was conducted and the results are analyzed to show the differences between before and after the accident.
