Since the grating optical low-pass fillet degrades the resolution of images, we developed a hologram optical low-pass filter that show low degradation of the image and studied its characteristics. We designed the hologram that divides input beam into circular shaped 21 beams with a Monte-Carlo based hologram generation program and calculated its MTE characteristics to compare it with that of a grating filter. The hologram was manufactured through the optical lithography process and attached to a digital imaging device (Zoran 732212) for measurement. The moirfiltering is compared with zone plate images and the resolution loss is measured with USAF resolution chart. The hologram optical low-pass filter showed better characteristics in both moly filtering and resolution.

A phase grating can be used as a spatial-frequency lter. We studied the ltering characteristics of 1-dimensional, 2-phase gratings. The characteristics of a lter can be analyzed with its optical transfer function (OTF). We calculated the OTF numerically for some 1-dimensional, 2-phase gratings. From the calculated graphs, we analogically found that the OTF could be written as an analytic function. Expanding the analytic function in a Fourier series, we proved that it could be applied to a grating with an arbitrary phase dierence and arbitrary widths of the phase steps.

본 연구의 목적은 알루미늄 부톡사이드[Al(OC_4H_9)_3]를 이용하여 졸-겔법(Sol-Gel Processing)으로 투명한 알루미나 겔을 합성하는 방법을 연구하는 것이다. 알루미늄 부톡사이드를 pH6.0의 물로 가수 분해 시키면 바로 Al의 침전물이 생성되었다. 이때 물과 알루미늄 부톡사이드의 혼합 몰 비는 1:50이었다. 이 침전물을 용해하기 위하여 1N의 HCl을 첨가하여 침전물을 해교시켰다. 해교 후 겔이 된 시료를 130℃에서 공극률을 측정한 결과 34.8Å이었으며, 온도에 따른 상전이를 연구하기 위하여 알루미나 겔을 130℃,500℃,900℃와 1200℃까지 열처리 한 후에 XRD를 측정한 결과 500℃에서 γ-알루미나, 900℃에서는 θ-알루미나, 그리고 1200℃에서는 α-알루미나의 상전이가 일어나는 것을 알 수 있다. The purpose of this research was to synthesize alumina gels by sol-gel processing using Aluminum butoxide[Al(OC_4H_9)_3]. The pH 6.0 HCl solution was used to hydrolyze aluminum butoxide. Al precipitation was formed immediately, where the mixing molar ratio of alkoxide to water was 1:50. The 1N HCI solution was added to the precipitate in order to dissolve it. The dissolved solution turned out to be a transparent gel. Both porosity and XRD of the gel were measured. The pore size of the gel was 34.8Å. XRD results showed that phase transitions were occurred at 500(γ-alumina), 900(θ-alumina), and 1200(α-alumina).
