The evaporation heat transfer experiments are conducted with the shell and plate heat exchanger (S&PHE) without oil in the refrigerant loop using R-410A. An experimental refrigerant loop has been established to measure the evaporation heat transfer coefficient h. of R-410A in a vertical S&PHE. Two vertical counter flow channels were formed in the S&PHE by three plates haying a corrugated trapezoid shape of a $45^{\circ}C$ chevron angle. UP flow of the boiling R-410A in one channel receives heat from the hot down flow of water in the other channel The effects of the refrigerant mass flux. average heat flux. refrigerant saturation temperature and vapor qualify are explored in detail. Similar to the case of a plate heat exchanger. even at a very low Reynolds number, the flow in the S&PHE remains turbulent. The Present data shows that the evaporation heat transfer coefficients of R-410A increased with the vapor qualify. The results indicate a rise in the refrigerant mass flux caused an increase in the h.. Raising the imposed wall heat flux is found to slightly improve h., while h, is found to be lower at a higher refrigerant saturation temperature. Based on the present data. empirical correlation of the evaporation heat transfer coefficient is proposed.

In-mold injection molding system is generally an advanced version of the injection molding system. The injection, printing and coating processes of In-mold injection molding take place simultaneously. The technology is mostly used in home appliances, electronic goods and cell phones. For this research we applied the In-mold technique for injection molding and process of 3D nurb-surfaces. We performed the computer simulation of injection molding to optimize the In-mold processes and identified the credibility of the products through performance evaluation.

In this study, heat transfer experiments for lubrication oil in high speed diesel engine were conducted with offset strip fined oil cooling system using water as coolant. An experimental water loop has been developed to measure the heat transfer coefficient in a vertical type oil cooler. Downflow of heated oil in one channel receives heat from the cooling water upflow in the other channel. Similar to the case of a plate heat exchanger, even at a very low Reynolds number, the flow in the oil cooler with offset strip fin remains in the state of turbulent flow. The present data show that the heat transfer coefficient increases according to the Reynolds number. Based on the present data, empirical correlation of the heat transfer coefficient was proposed.

In this study, numerical analysis to develop optimal dust collector having an axial inlet cyclone was performed for the 3 dimensional flow field with a control volume including gases and particles. We applied a commercial code FLUENT for calculating the flow distribution and the pressure drop. The realizable k-ε turbulence model was used to obtain the analytical results and the major parameters were the geometrical dimension of helical guide vanes, the inner diameter and length of cylindrical part. Finally we found out and recommended one dust collector that showed appreciable performance improvement. The experiment for confirming the numerical results was conducted by KS R 1041. From the numerical analysis and the experimental test, it was seen that the specified collector recommended in this study had dust collecting rate of about 99.91% and the ventilation resistance of 23.9mbar, and was more effective than old one that had been conventionally used in real work field.

In case of attaching thermoelectric module and heat source, the polymer pad is attached on the Al₂O₃ plate, which is cooling side of thermoelectric module, in order to enhance mechanical safety of the system. It is impossible to calculate the exact distribution of temperature and flow pattern of inner gap of thermoelectric module. Therefore CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis was executed to determine the thermo-fluid phenomena and distribution by Fluent. As the result of these analysis, heat transfer was dominated by conduction and the difference of temperature was linear distribution according to the thickness of polymer sheet.

In this study, an experimental work was performed to mold tensile specimens by using the injection molding machine. Melt temperature, mold temperature and the mixed rate of recycled resin were selected as processing parameters for studing the effect of those condition on the shrinkage and weight of molded parts. As a result, the shrinkage was increased with the higher mold and melt temperature and It was more senstive to the change of mold temperature. On the other hand, the weight of molded parts was decreased with the increment of mold and melt temperature.

In recent years, the automobile industry has focused on the cost reduction through integration of parts andproductivity increase by reducing the number of processes through modulation. Research on the integration of parts leads to quality improvement through integrated design of parts, and changes in material property and production process. This study presents a way to integrate seat motor housing parts, which comprise two caps and one housing in the existing products, into one part to reduce breakage during assembly. For the production of hot chamber die casting prototype, a process is designed using UNI GRAPHICS modeling. Z-CAST, a software utilizing finite difference method(FDM), is used to estimate defects and evaluate the prototype. The reliability test showed that the prototype satisfied material property, noise and vibration requirements. It also satisfied the required specification of run out test. As the prototype reduced the number of processes and cost, die casting is most appropriate for the production of seat motor housings.
