        The Architectural design is located on the process to reach a final design alternative through creating, reviewing and validating the design alternatives which is created by designer. Even if the quality of design is not related to the number of alternatives, the number of alternatives can serve a chance to review and validate design and design idea. However the creating alternative which is linked to the initiate design idea is difficult. The solution way to solve the problems and to adapt the requests can be the generative design system based on parametric technology. The system can serve a methodology to generate diverse design alternatives within the range of the parameters which is constrained by a designer. The designer can be served a chance to review his/her design history with the ability to record design history of the system. An architectural design process based on the generative design system is going to be proposed through reviewing the technologies to adapt architectural design and case studies.

        논문 : 유전자 알고리즘을 적용한 생성시스템 기반 디자인

        디자인 초기 단계에서, 설계자들은 다양한 대안들의 검토를 통하여 디자인을 발전시킨다. 하지만, 인간의 정보처리 능력의 한계는 다양한 대안을 만드는 것을 힘들게 한다. 이러한 한계를 극복하는 방법으로 컴퓨터를 이용한 생성시스템기반 디자인 개념이 있다. 이 개념은 디자이너가 “의도하지 않은 발견(UXD)”을 통해 디자인 해결방안의 새로운 아이디어를 찾을 수 있게 도와주며 디자인 문제를 해결하기 위한 새로운 요구 사항을 찾아내는 것을 더욱 효과적으로 지원 할 수 있다. 하지만 생성되어진 무수한 디자인대안은 디자이너를 도리어 혼란스럽게 만들 수 있으므로 디자인대안이 디자이너의 의도를 만족시키기 위한 최적화 방법이 필요하다. 본 연구는 이를 위하여 유전 알고리즘을 최적화 방법으로 사용하는 생성시스템기반 디자인 방법을 제안한다. At the early design stage, a designer would develop a design through reviewing various alternatives. However, the limitation of human information handling capacity would be an obstacle to makes various alternatives. A way to overcome the limitation is to create the alternatives with the design based on generative system concept with computer. We assume that generated alternatives by the generative system for design can help a designer find out new ideas of design solution through "Unexpected Discovery(UXD)" and detect new design requirement for design problem more effectively with assistance of the system. Even if the concept has the advantage, the generated countless alternatives make designer confused. For this, an optimization method to satisfy designer`s intention is required. This research suggests design based on generative system using genetic algorithm as optimization.

      • BIM 모델을 이용한 IoT 관리 시스템에 관한 연구

        Combining IoT technology with the BIM paradigm can enhance the data collection that BIM strives for by enabling real-time monitoring of building conditions. This data collection can be used very effectively for managing facilities. However, many IoT devices must be installed in buildings to achieve such results and therefore, a management system is required. The purpose of this study is to suggest an IoT management system that uses the drawing information extracted from a BIM model to allow effective management from initial installation of IoT devices to maintenance.

        기상데이터 종류별 건물 에너지 성능 분석 결과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

        The aim of this research is to carry out the influences of weather data which are U.S. Department of Energy(DOE), Korea Solar Energy Society (KSES), Green Building Studio Virtual Weather Station(GBS VWS) and Meteonorm weather data in 4 major cities which are Incheon, Gangnung, Gwangju, and Ulsan on building simulation. For this research Autodesk Ecotect and Graphisoft Ecodesigner are used as building simulation program. The simulation is performed on heating and cooling load, CO2 emission, energy consumption, and natural and reusable energy which are solar and Heat pump. The experiment building is 6 stories and 585.7m2 small office building. The result is that the differences rate of total annual heating and cooling loads are 8.44 ~ 20.47% in Incheon, ?8.02 ~ 11.46% in Gangnung, 2.04 ~ 10.26% in Gwangju, 3.88 ~ 10.94% in Ulsan. However if hearing and cooling load are compared separately, heating loads are not much different than total rate but cooling loads are dramatically different as 9.59 ~ 50.53% in Incheon, 16.56 ~ 65.24% in Gangnung, 4.70 ~ 49.61% in Gwangju, 0.63 ~ 44.22% in Ulsan.

      • 패러메터기법을 활용한 공간계획 지원에 관한 연구

        It is clear that the importance of geometric information (point, line, surface, and etc) on the stage of building design. The geometric information without meaningful information (a name, a size, and a purpose of space and etc) can make an error and require time and efforts to correct it. The error is caused by non matched information between geometric and meaningful information and it asks to drop down of efficiency in Architectural Design. To solve the problem, new technologies and paradigms based on CAAD (Computer Aided Architectural Design) are turned up. The important technology of them is the methodology to handle design information based on parameter technology. The technology can convergence geometry information and meaningful information which to create, modify, and link the object with the linked information between them. This research shows the methodology how to support space planning in early stage of building with parameter based technology. The platform for it, Archicad is used and to build up parameter based object, GDL (Geometry Description Language) is used. The research to support the effort integrated Architectural Design Information and to suggest the methodology in early design phrase which build up and using the information.

        The modeling digital architectural Information is required to integrated more wide range of information related it with moving from modeling 2 dimensional based information to 3 dimensional based. It focus on integration and sharing the scattered architecture related information based on computerized virtual building. The movement has turned up as BIM(Building Information Modeling) paradigm which is recognized an innovation way for not only architectural design but also the whole part of AEC industry. However the paradigm has focused on separated building only. The highest category to recognize building is location based information(LBI). The first priority of consideration to design building as target of architecture is where the building is going to be located. Through it several important facts of building can be decided. Therefore the building information based on location based information can serve more diversity and demanded on user's requirement for users to use it. It can be considered that the modeled information with the way to assist building the nation building manage system The research has object to discuss the results and futher modification methods of the digital architectural information based on location based information using Virtual Globe.

        건축설계 지원을 위한 GIS 데이터 활용 시스템

        건축설계 초기 단계에서 대상 대지에 대한 지리 공간 정보의 사용은 필수적이다. 하지만 현재까지 이러한 정보의 취득은 상당한 시간 및 노력이 요구되는 일이다. 본 연구는 이러한 GIS 정보의 효과적 취득을 위해 현재 국토교통부 주관으로 서비스 되고 있는 국가공간정보유통시스템인 Vworld의 정보를 건축설계에 이용하는 방법을 제시한다. 제시하는 방법은 Vworld 에서 제공하는 Open API를 이용하여 건축설계 초기단계에 필요한 지형 형상, 지적도 및 토지의 용도, 개발제한 사항 등을 BIM 설계용 소프트웨어에서 검색 및 즉시 활용 할 수 있는 BIM/GIS통합 방법이다. 이를 통해 BIM 분야에서는 GIS분야에서 구축한 도시설계관련 정보를 활용 할 수 있고, GIS는 건축분야에서 구축한 건물관련 정보를 이용함으로서 지리 및 공간정보를 풍성하게 구축 및 지속적인 유지관리가 가능하게 할 수 있다. 또한 본연구를 통해 구축된 시스템은 BIM소프트웨어를 이용하여 설계하는 건축설계자들이 프로젝트관련 지리공간정보를 취득하는데 많은 시간과 노력을 절약할 수 있다는 사실을 확인할 수 있다. Using geospatial information in the early design phase is crucial because it requires considerable time, money, and effort. We use VWorld, part of the National Spatial Information Distribution system provided by the Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transportation, for providing geospatial information to building designers. We provide methods to adopt VWorld geospatial information to building design and develop plugins for a BIM authoring tool to transform and construct necessary BIM data in a user-friendly format. BIM users are benefitted from extra design information supplied from sibling disciplines such as urban design. GIS users are benefited by feedback building information continuously supplied from building projects based upon standard GIS coordinates. It is clear that an architectural designer with BIM tool can save time and efforts to obtain the geospatial information related a project using the developed system as result of this research.
