Osteoporosis, one of the age-related disease causes vertebra body fracture due to weakening trabecular bone and makes a substantial effect on load sharing among vertebras. Recently, vertebroplasty is one of the most popular treatment, as augmenting PMMA into vertebra. Biomechanical studies about vertebroplasty have been evaluated by several experiments or analysis under static loading but there has been no study on response under dynamic loading. This study included the FE analysis of patients who treated vertebroplasty under dynamic loading. For this study, 3-D FE model of lumbar spine(L1-L2) was modeled from CT scanning data and compared with experimental results in vitro in order to validate this model. Biomechanical behavior about each of normal person, osteoporotic patient and patient treated vertebroplasty for quantitative evaluations of vertebroplasty was compared and investigated.

We have fabricated a single flux quantum 4-stage shift register with interface-controlled $Y_1$$Ba_2$$Cu_3$$O_{7-x}$(YBCO) Josephson junction. The YBCO Josephson junctions showed RSJ-like current-voltage(I-V) curves at temperatures 45~80K. We tested load and shift operation of shift register with binary data sequences “1000”, “1010”, “1011”, and “1111” at 58K. For all the binary data sequences, the shift register operated successfully. By operating the circuit with proper current pulses, we observed no errors during at least 12 hours operation for all the data sequences.s.

We designed a high temperature superconducting rapid single flux quantum(RSFQ) T flip-flop(TFF) circuit using Xic and WRspice. According to the optimized circuit parameters, we fabricated the TFF circuit with $Y_1$$Ba_2$Cu$_3$$O_{7-x}$(YBCO) interface-controlled Josephson junctions. The whole circuit was comprised of five epitaxial layers including YBCO ground plane. The interface-controlled Josephson junction was fabricated with natural junction barrier that was formed by interface-treatment process. In addition, we report second design for a new flip-flop without ground palne.e.
형광 XAFS 에 의한 Fe99Cu1 합금에서 Cu nanocrystallite 의 생성 및 상천이

The Fe_(99)Cu₁ alloy was prepared by the arc melting and annealed at 743 and 823K during the various annealing time. The local structure change around Cu atoms was observed using the fluorescence XAFS because of dilute Cu atoms. In initial stage, the Fourier transform of Cu K-edge XAFS spectra still retain the bcc structure because Cu is substantial in the bcc α-Fe matrix. At the intermediate annealing at 743 and 823K the Fourier transform of Cu K-edge XAFS spectra indicates a distribution of bcc and fcc Cu precipitate dominated by bcc structure. Continued annealing to 700 and 550h at 743 and 823K results in a further decrease in the amplitude of all the peaks in the Fourier transforms of the Cu K-edge spectra. The Fourier transforms more closely resemble those typical of a fcc structure than a bcc structure. This paper proves that fluorescence X-ray absorption spectroscopy can be successfully used to probe the local structure of highly diluted atoms in metallic alloy.
