        CarboMedics 기계판막의 임상경험

        The CarboMedics valve is a bileaflet prosthesis with excellent hemodynamic characteristics, but the long term surgical experience with this valve, its durability and its biocompatibility are unknown. During a 5 year period from october 1988 to July 1993, 748 prostheses [402 mitral, 261 aortic, 58 tricuspid, 27 pulmonic] were inserted in 552 patients [mean age 40.2 years]. The operative mortality was 6.6% [37/560, 13.2% in age group below 15 years and 5.7% above 15 years]. and the main causes of death were complex congenital malformation and left ventricular failure. Follow up was totaled 1182 patient- years and mean follow up was 28.3 months/patient. No structural failure has been observed. Hemorrhage was the most frequent valve related complication[1.78% / Patient-year]. Embolism occurred at a rate of 0.93% / Patient-year. There were 5 cases of valve thrombosis [0.42% / Patient-year, two fatal]. There occurred 11 late deaths[6 valve related] and 42 valve related complications. Actuarial survival at 5 years is 97.18 0.94% and actuarial complication free survival at 5 years is 89.07 1.54%. In summary, the CarboMedics valve stands for a durable valve substitute, with low valve related complications.

        Synthesis and characterization of magnetite nanopowders

        We have synthesized the iron oxide nanoparticles using the newly developed mechanical ultrasonication method with the FeSO₄ Æ 7H₂O. We have also investigated the crystallographic structural properties, morphology, and magnetic properties of the nanopowders. According to the high resolution X-ray diffraction result, the as-synthesized iron oxide nanoparticles were magnetite (Fe₃O₄). The particle size of the magnetite nanoparticles was about 6 nm confirmed by transmission electron microscopy image. The particle shape was almost a sphere confirmed by scanning electron microscopy image. The coercivity and saturation magnetization of the as-synthesized iron oxide nanopowders were 114 Oe, and 3.7 emu/g, respectively.

        높은 결정성을 갖는 이산화티탄 나노입자의 합성

        석유 고갈의 시대에 저가이면서 반투명한 특징을 갖고 있는 염료감응형 태양전지(DSC)는 1991년 Grätzel의 연구결과 보고 이후 많은 주목을 받아왔다. 염료감응형 태양전지의 광전극의 빛 수확 성능을 증진시키고, 궁극적으로 광전변환효율을 향상시키기 위하여 다양한 구조를 갖는 산란층이 광전극 소재로 제안되었다. DSC 광전극의 산란층에서 산란의 중심으로는 지름이 250 – 300 nm 정도의 크기를 갖는 비교적 큰 이산화티탄 나노입자가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 변형된 졸겔 공정을 이용하여 약 300 nm 크기의 이산화티탄 나노결정을 합성하였다. XRD와 TEM 분석결과에 의하면, 합성된 이산화티탄 나노입자는 아나타제 상의 단결정 특성을 나타내었다. 합성된 이산화티탄 나노입자를 이용하여 스핀 코팅 공정으로 제조된 이산화티탄 박막의 광학적 투과율은 550 nm 파장에서 약 50%로 측정되었다. 이처럼 적당한 투과율은 DSC 산란층의 산란 중심으로 사용하기에 적합하며, DSC의 광전변환효율 향상에 적절하게 기여할 것으로 기대된다. In the age of oil exhaustion, low cost, semi-transparent solar cell, the dye-sensitized solar cell (DSC) has attracted significant attention since 1991 of Grätzel report. To enhance the light-harvest capability of the photoelectric electrode, and efficiency of photoelectric transformation of the DSC, scattering layer of various structure have been proposed to photoelectric electrode materials. The scattering center of scattering layer needs the large titanium dioxide nanoparticles of 250 – 300 nm in diameter. In this study, the large sized TiO2 nanocyrstals of around 300 nm were synthesized using the modified sol-gel process. According to the analysis of XRD and TEM, the synthesized TiO2 nanoparticles exhibit single crystals of anatase phase. The optical transmittance of the synthesized titanium dioxide film prepared by spin coating is around 50% at 550 nm. It is suitable for scattering layer as a scattering center, and expected to enhance the efficiency of photoelectric transformation of the DSC.

        기기 면적 대비 높은 화면 비율을 갖는 터치 패널 디스플레이 제조를 위한 차광 테이프의 개발

        정보기술의 디자인 트렌드는 시대에 따라 빠르게 변해왔으며, 최근의 정보 디스플레이의 디자인 트렌드는 베젤리스 디스플레이가 대세이다. 베젤리스 또는 에지리스 디스플레이는 휴대폰 디스플레이의 새로운 트렌드로 부 상하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이른바 베젤리스 디스플레이라고 불리는 기기 면적 대비 높은 화면 비율을 갖는 터치 패널 디스플레이의 조립 공정에 적합한 차광 테이프를 개발하였다. 차광 테이프는 자외선 경화형 아크릴계 감압성 점착제를 PET 필름 위에 롤투롤 공정으로 코팅하여 제조하였다. 자외선 경화형 감압성 점착제는 톨루엔을 전혀 사 용하지 않는 친환경적인 제조 방법으로 합성되었다. 제조된 차광 테이프의 점착력은 자동화된 인장시험기로 분석하 였으며, 형상유지 특성인 칙소성은 주사 전자 현미경으로 분석하였다. 그 결과 제조된 차광 테이프는 터치패널 디스 플레이의 조립 공정에 적합한 높은 점착력과 우수한 칙소성을 나타내었다. 이러한 기능성 차광 테이프의 개발은 그 동안 차광 테이프의 칙소성 부족으로 인하여 야기되었던 터치 패널 디스플레이 조립 공정의 생산성향상 및 품질 안정성 향상에 기여할 것으로 기대된다. The design trend of information technology is quickly changed with the times. The design trend of information display is a bezel-less display, recently. The bezel-less display or edge-less display is a new trend of mobile phone display. In this study, the shading tape was manufactured for assembling process of touch panel display with the high screen-to-body ratio so-called bezel-less display. The shading tape was fabricated on PET film with the UV curable acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive(PSA) by roll-to-roll process. The UV curable PSA was synthesized with the eco-friendly toluene-less manufacturing method. The adhesive power of manufactured shading tape was investigated by motorized tensile testing machine. The thixotropic, maintaining property of cutting shape, was characterized by field emission scanning electron microscope. As results, the shading tape exhibits high adhesive power and good thixotropic performance suitable for assembly process of touch panel display. The functional shading tape will be expected to improve productivity of assembly process of touch panel display.

        열화학 기상 증착법에 의한 비정질 SiOx 나노와이어의 성장

        나노구조를 갖는 물질들은 나노구조물이 갖는 고유의 체적 대비 높은 표면적 비와 양자 갇힘 효과에 기인하는 독특한 전기적, 광학적, 광전기적, 자기적 특성으로 인하여 많은 주목을 받아왔다. 열화학 기상 증착 공정은 나노구조물의 성장과정에서 다양한 구조를 갖는 나노소재의 합성 능력 때문에 더욱 주목을 받아왔다. 본 연구에서는 두 영역 열화학 기상 증착법과 소스 물질 TiO2 파우더를 이용하여 VLS 공정으로 Si\SiO2(300 nm)\Pt(5∼40 nm) 기판 위에 실리콘 옥사이드 나노와이어를 성장시켰다. 성장된 실리콘 옥사이드 나노와이어의 형상과 결정학적 특성을 전계방출 주사전자현미경과 투과전자현미경으로 분석하였다. 분석결과, 성장된 실리콘 옥사이드 나노와이어의 형상인 지름과 길이는 촉매 박막의 두께에 의존하여 다른 모양을 나타내었다. 또한 성장된 실리콘 옥사이드 나노와이어는 비정질 상을 갖는 것으로 분석되었다. Nanostructured materials have received attention due to their unique electronic, optical, optoelectrical, and magnetic properties as a results of their large surface-to-volume ratio and quantum confinement effects. Thermal chemical vapor deposition process has attracted much attention due to the synthesis capability of various structured nanomaterials during the growth of nanostructures. In this study, silicon oxide nanowires were grown on Si\SiO2(300 nm)\Pt(5∼40 nm) substrates by two-zone thermal chemical vapor deposition with the source material TiO2 powder via vapor-liquid-solid process. The morphology and crystallographic properties of the grown silicon oxide nanowires were characterized by field-emission scanning electron microscope and transmission electron microscope. As results of analysis, the morphology, diameter and length, of the grown silicon oxide nanowires are depend on the thickness of the catalyst films. The grown silicon oxide nanowires exhibit amorphous phase.

        Fibromatoses, a broad group of fibrous proliferations of similiar microscopic appearance, show intermediate biological behavior between benign fibrous lesion and fibrosarcoma. they are characterized by the infiltrative growth and the tendency toward recurrence, but they never metastasize. The mediastinal fibromatosis has been extremely rarely reported. We experienced a case of anterior mediastinal fibromatosis ingrowing onto the anterior chest wall in 2-year-old female. A radical surgical resection and anterior chest wall reconstruction was performed successfully.

        임신중 발생한 급성 대동맥박리증

        Aortic dissection of the young woman without Marfan disease is related, in most instances, to pregnancy. We experienced a case of acute type A aortic dissection. The patient was 25 years old woman in 35 weeks of gestational age without evidence of Marfan's syndrome. The challenge of management was successfully met by delivery of the fetus first, followed by aorta surgery. 42 minutes of total circulatory arrest and 104 minutes of total aortic cross clamp time were needed. 34 minutes of selective cerebral perfusion via right axillary artery was used. The patient had uneventful hospital course and was discharged with her healthy baby on 15 th postoperative day.

        Dependence of substrate temperature of Zn0.8Co0.2O films deposited by pulsed DC magnetron sputtering

        We have investigated the microstructure, electrical and magnetic properties of the ZnCoO thin films, which were prepared by the asymmetrical bipolar-pulsed DC magnetron sputtering as a function of substrate temperature. The structural properties of ZnCoO films were characterized with a high resolution XRD. The XRD patterns of the ZnCoO films showed a strong (002) preferential orientation. The average crystallite size was 23–35 nm, which was estimated from full width at half maximum of XRD results. The electrical resistivity of the films were measured by the van der Pauw method through Hall measurement and showed below 10-1 X cm above 300 ˚C. The magnetic properties of the ZnCoO films were analyzed by the alternating gradient magnetometer at room temperature. All of the films were exhibited the ferromagnetic nature. The high conductivity and room temperature ferromagnetism of the ZnCoO films above 300 ˚C suggested that the possibility for the application to diluted magnetic semiconductors.
