[論文] 風洞實驗에 依한 승용차의 最適外形決定에 關한 硏究

The aerodynamic characteristics of the most popular car (PONY 2) produced in Korea have been experimentally investigated by Seoul National University's wind tunnel. The model (PONY 2) chosen for the wind tunnel was a 1/5 scale of the original car without simulated underbody, cooling air flow and accessories. The measured aerodymanic drag coefficient corrected by JARI formula is 0.45 which is very close to those of small foreign cars.<br/> To see the effect of the different configurations on the aerodynamic drag, the modifications have been made by changing the hood slope and backlight slope, and putting the add-on-aerodynamic devices on the orignal shape. The rear spoiler was found the most effective one to reduce the aerodynamic drag. It may be concluded that the considerable aerodnamic drag reduction can be achieved by changing the slopes and A-O-A devices at the proper places of the car.

To develop the vehicle that can reduce the air pollution degree is required these days because the pollution of vehicles charges the high rate of environment pollution. One of vehicles reducing the pollution is the NGV(Natural Gas Vehicle) that use the CNG fuel which has many advantages than gasoline vehicle. The world automotive companies that are supported y governments are selling already the CNG vehicles. But in domestic, yet the technology level to develop the CNG vehicle is the first step. So, this paper is describing the design conditions that are needed on mouting the CNG tank in trunk room. And this paper practiced computer simulations inspecting the safety for rear crash and the endurance of CNG tank bracket & cross member for mouting.<br/>
