본 논문에서는 광류를 이용한 적응 블록 정합 움직임 추정 방법을 제안하였다. 제안 방법에서는 먼저 각 화소의 시간 경사값과 공간 경사값을 미분필터를 통하여 계산한 후, 이 경사값들로부터 최소자승 추정법을 이용하여 광류를 추정하여 탐색영역의 위치와 크기를 결정하였다. 특히 움직임 특성에 따라 탐색영역을 결정함으로써 움직임 추정 오차가 큰 영역인 크고 복잡한 움직임을 갖는 영상에 대해서 뛰어난 성능을 갖는다. 다양한 움직임 특성을 가지는 실험 영상들에 대한 기존의 방법과 제안한 방법의 움직임 추정 성능 평가를 위한 컴퓨터 모의실험을 통하여, 제안한 방법이 움직임이 크고 복잡한 영상에 대해서 기존의 방법에 비해 우수한PSNR을 나타냄을 확인하였다. In this paper, we present an adaptive block matching motion estimation using optical flow. In the proposed algorithm, we calculate the temporal and spatial gradient value for each pixel value from the differential filter, and estimate the optical flow which is used to decide the location and the size of the search region from the gradient values by least square optical flow algorithm. In particular, the proposed algorithm showed a excellent performance with fast and complex motion sequences. From the computer simulation for various motion characteristic sequences, The proposed algorithm shows a significant enhancement of PSNR over previous blocking matching algorithms.
수생태계 부영양화 분석을 위한 비색법 기반의 광학식 센서 신호처리회로(ROIC)구현

In this study, a read-out integrated circuit (ROIC) that can be applied to a colorimetry-based optical sensor for analyzing total phosphorus and total nitrogen was developed and characterized. The proposed ROIC minimizes the effect on temperature fluctuation, improves sensitivity, and extends the dynamic range by utilizing a dual optical path and feedback control circuit. Using a dual optical path makes it possible to calibrate the output signal of the optical sensor automatically, along with the temperature fluctuation. The calibrated voltage is fed back into the measurement stage; thus, the output current of the measurement is adaptively controlled. As a result, the sensitivity and dynamic range of the proposed ROIC are improved. Finally, a total-phosphorus analysis was conducted by utilizing the ROIC. The ROIC was found to operate stably over a wide temperature range.
웨이브릿 영역에서 영역분류를 이용한 다분광 화상데이타의 효율적인 압축 알고리듬

In this paper, we proposed multispectral image compression method using CIP (classified inter-channel prediction) and SVQ (selective vector quantization) in wavelet domain. First, multispectral image is wavelet transformed and classified into one of three classes considering reflection characteristics of the subband with the lowest resolution. Then, for a reference channel which has the highest correlation and the same resolution with other channels, the variable VQ is performed in the classified intra-channel to remove spatial redundancy, For other channels, the CIP is performed to remove spectral redundancy. Finally, the prediction error is reduced by performing SVQ. Experiments are carried out on a multispectral image. The results show that the proposed method reduce the bit rate at higher reconstructed image quality and improve the compression efficiency compared to conventional methods.

In this paper, we propose a gradient-based optical flow estimation method using the constrained velocity-vector least square estimation. The basic assumption of the proposed method, considering the optical flow constraint equation and the spatial correlation of the image, is that the neighboring pixels are having a similar velocity. Thus the proposed method can more accurately estimate the motion boundary and large motion of image than conventional methods. The results show that the proposed method, which is the constrained velocity-vector least square estimation, has a much lower angle error than TLS and bayesian based methods for all sequences. That is, the proposed method can more accurately estimate the optical flow than conventional methods.
