      • 초등 수학 교과서에 사용되고 있는 수학 용어에 대한 학생들의 이해도 분석 - 도형 영역을 중심으로 -

        수학 용어를 바르게 이해하고 가르친다는 것은 수학 학습의 모든 것이라고 말할 수 있을 만큼 중요한 부분을 차지한다고 할 수 있다. 이러한 이유에서 학생들이 수학 교과서에 나오는 수학 용어에 대해 얼마만큼 정확하게 그 의미를 이해하고 있는지 살펴보고, 어려움을 느끼는 용어에 대해서는 그 원인을 찾아보아야 할 필요가 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 초등 수학 교과서 도형 영역에 사용되고 있는 수학 용어를 조사하고 각 용어에 대한 학생들의 이해 정도를 분석해 보았다. As what exactly understands a meaning of mathematics terms, is a starting point of mathematical thinking, it plays a very important role in the mathematics learning. What understood mathematics terms which were defined here, includes not only the terms of comprising its definition, but also all of the understanding in context, situation, intention and purpose, which came to give its definition. Due to this reason, it needs to be examined how much students are correctly understanding about mathematics terms which appear in the texts, and to seek for its cause for the terms which are felt to be difficult. Accordingly, this study investigated into mathematics terms which are used for the field of geometry in the elementary school mathematics textbooks, and tried to analyze students' understanding level about each term.

        Case study on 3D printing education in fashion design coursework

        In the past 10 years, the use of 3D printing (3DP) has been increased in a number of industries. However, its use in the fashion industry and education is still at the early stage. This study aimed to provide (1) a general overview of 3DP in fashion and its integration in fashion education and (2) a pedagogical guidance to educators in the fashion discipline by presenting one case of 3D printing education in fashion design courses. This case study focused on the importance of 3D printing in fashion design curricula and the way to strategically integrate this technology into the curriculum. Rhinoceros (Rhino) and FINEBOT were used for 3D object design and printing, respectively. The coursework consisted of theoretical lectures including definition and application of 3D printing; training of Rhino use; methods of producing objects; 3D modeling of creative objects; and 3D printing practice. During this coursework, the course instructor allowed for students to initiate their design and create the 3D objects on what they wanted. Challenges for educators were identified when fashion students were learning 3D modeling software; however, the coursework resulted in increased interest and understanding of the students in 3D modeling and printing of more advanced fashion-related objects.

        디지털 패션의 주름 표현 기법 연구 -디지털 패션 제작 소프트웨어 클로를 중심으로-

        The purpose of this research is to analyze and present the optimal expression of pleats in digital fashion, in terms of their various types and characteristics. Of the various elements of clothing, pleats have been a significant decorative element since the very beginning of its history. For this research, pleats were divided into three categories - regular pleats, drapery pleats, and decorative pleats, and the types and characteristics of each category were analyzed. Then, various expressions of each pleat category were explored using the digital fashion design software program CLO, which led to the following findings. First, in the case of regular pleats such as knife pleats, different configurations in terms of depth and angle can lead to various expressions, the optimal being when the outer pleat is at 0-degrees, and the inner pleat is set at 360-degrees. Second, the expression of drapery pleats changes based on fabric properties including reflective colors and sheen. Selecting a bright reflective color and low sheen can increase contrast, enhancing the expression of pleats. Third, decorative pleats such as frills and shirring can be modified by varying the strength and ratio of elastics, and incorporating high strength and low ratio values result in elastic and voluminous pleats. The optimal expressions for each category of pleats presented in this article based on CLO software could be widely utilized in digital fashion design, and as educational material. 본 연구의 목표는 다양한 주름의 종류와 특성에 대해서 디지털 패션에서는 어떠한 방법으로 구현해야 최적의 주름을 표현할 수 있을지에 대하여 방법을 연구하여 제시하는 것이다. 의복의 다양한 구성요소 중에서도 특히 주름은 의복 역사의 시작과 함께 존재했다고 해도 과언이 아닐 정도로 중요한 장식요소이다. 본 연구를 위해 우선, 주름의 종류를 규칙적인 주름, 드레이퍼리형 주름, 장식적 요소로서의 주름으로 크게 세 가지 유형으로 분류하고, 각각의 주름에 대한 주름의 종류와 특징에 대하여 고찰하였다. 다음으로, 디지털 패션 제작 소프트웨어 CLO를 활용하여 이 세 가지 유형의 주름의 각각의 표현 기법을 연구하였으며 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, Knife pleats와 같은 규칙적인 주름은 겉주름과 속주름의 주름 강도 설정과 각도에 따라 주름의 느낌이 달라지는데, 겉주름은 주름각도를 0, 속주름은 주름 각도를 360으로 했을 때 주름이 가장 잘 표현된다. 둘째, 드레이퍼리형 주름의 경우 직물의 속성과 반사색, 광택의 설정에 따라 주름의 표현이 달라진다. 특히 반사색을 밝은 색으로 설정하고, 광택의 치수를 낮게 설정할수록 주름의 명암이 뚜렷해져 주름을 잘 표현할 수 있다. 셋째, 프릴, 셔링과 같은 장식적인 주름은 엘라스틱의 강도와 비율을 조절하여 주름의 느낌을 살릴 수 있는데, 엘라스틱의 강도 값을 높이고 비율의 값을 작게 설정 할수록 주름이 탄력적이고 볼륨감이 풍성하게 표현될 수 있다. 본 논문의 결과로 제시된 클로를 활용한 주름의 형태에 따른 각각의 표현 방법은 디지털 패션 작품 제작 뿐만 아니라 교육 자료로서도 널리 활용될 수 있을 것이다..

        고령자를 위한 웨어러블 디바이스 개발 동향 연구

        The proportion of the elderly population (65 years old and above) is steadily growing, as the birthrate is declining while the average life expectancy is increasing. Statistics from the South Korean Ministry of Health and Welfare indicate that South Korea already entered an aging society in the 2000s and it will enter a super-aged society in 2026. Due to the rapid transition to an aging society and the increasing number of senior citizens who live alone, the demand for monitoring systems and smart telemedicine systems for the elderly is increasing. The development of wearable devices for the elderly is considered as a solution to these issues. The objective of this study is to present the potential and direction of wearable devices for the elderly by identifying recent development trends through analyzing the types and characteristics of currently developed wearable devices for the elderly. The results of this study show that wearable devices for the elderly can be divided into wearable devices for patients with dementia, wearable devices for patients with hypertension and diabetes, and other wearable devices. Currently developed wearable devices for patients with dementia include a shoe insole which can predict the occurrence of dementia, and a wristwatch to prevent patients from going missing. There are also wearable devices for patients with hypertension or diabetes in the market. Accessories and skin patches, which can measure blood pressure or blood glucose, are good examples. There are anti-shake smart spoons, smart hearing-aids, and smart medicine cases as well. Much fewer wearable healthcare devices have been developed for the elderly, compared to those developed for the general public. However, it is clear that the rapidly growing elderly population have a greater demand for wearable devices than any other age group. Therefore, future wearable healthcare device development should focus on products for geriatric patients.
