"MODEL SPELL CHECKER" FOR PRIMITIVE-BASED AS-BUILT MODELING IN CONSTRUCTION

This research investigates a Modeling Spell Checker that, similarly to Word Spell Checker for word processing software, would conform as-built 3D models to standard construction rules. The work is focused on the study of pipe-spools. Specifically pipe diameters and coplanarity are checked and corrected by the Modeling Spell Checker, and elbows are deduced and modeled to complete models. Experiments have been conducted by scanning scenes of increasing levels of complexity regarding the number of pipes, the types of elbows and the number of planes constituting pipe-spools. For building models of pipes from sensed data, a modeling method, developed at the University of Texas at Austin, that is based on the acquisition of sparse point clouds and the human ability to recognize geometric shapes has been used Results show that primitive-based models obtained after scanning construction sites can be corrected and even improved automatically, and, since such models are expected to be used as feedback control models for equipment operators, the higher modeling accuracy achieved with the Modeling Spell Checker could potentially increase the level of safety in construction. Result also show that some improvements are still needed especially regarding the co-planarity of pipes. In addition, results show that the modeling accuracy significantly depends on the primitive modeling method, and improvement of that method would positively impact the modeling spell checker.

Resent removal work for road signs has been labor intensive and required times since it has been done manually using shaving type equipment. While traditional process is conducting, there are traffic jams caused by the passing control, and happened unexpected accidents to workers working at dangerous road circumstance. Besides, in current shaving method, there are high potentialities on the air pollution as well as the explosive accident occurred by using a propane gas. So, as an alternative, we have studied to develop the automatic erasing equipment made up with a high pressure water-jet system and automatic control system, mobile system; Wate-rjet system consists of an intensifier and nozzles to give a high pressure and spray on the sign, and automatic control system is composed of one axis robot using a hydraulic servo actuator controlled by a lever, And as a mobile system, a truck plays an important role for the transport of equipment and the forward movement in a removal process. In this paper, we have analyzed the characteristics of road signs and have investigated current erasing methods in the field. And we have organized and designed automatic erasing equipment, and we have made a basic experiment to find out the optimal spray condition as like the spray distance, spray angle and injection pressure.

Current methods for construction site modeling employ large, expensive laser range scanners that produce dense range point clouds of a scene from different perspectives. Days of skilled interpretation and of automatic segmentation may be required to convert the clouds to a finished CAD model. The dynamic nature of the construction environment requires that a real-time local area modeling system be capable of handling a rapidly changing and uncertain work environment. However, in practice, large, simple, and reasonably accurate embodying volumes are adequate feedback to an operator who, for instance, is attempting to place materials in the midst of obstacles with an occluded view. For real-time obstacle avoidance and automated equipment control functions, such volumes also facilitate computational tractability. In this research, a human operator's ability to quickly evaluate and associate objects in a scene is exploited. The operator directs a laser range finder mounted on a pan and tilt unit to collect range points on objects throughout the workspace. These groups of points form sparse range point clouds. These sparse clouds are then used to create geometric primitives for visualization and modeling purposes. Experimental results indicate that these models can be created rapidly and with sufficient accuracy for automated obstacle avoidance and equipment control functions.
한국인의 후두암 발생에서 음주, Aldehyde Dehydrogenase 2(ALDH2)와 N-Acetyltransferase 2(NAT2) 유전자 다형성의 역할

Objectives: Alcohol intake has been reported to be a risk factor of laryngeal cancer. Since the aldehyde dehydrogenase 2 (ALDH2) genotype is a major determinant of personal alcohol drinking habit, there is a possibility that ALDH2 genotype would be a risk factor for laryngeal cancer. N-Acetyltransferase 2 (NAT2) is a detoxifying enzyme and its polymorphism has been reported to be related to the risk of many environmental cancers. However, studies on the associations between these two genotypes and laryngeal cancer risk are scarce. We have assessed the effects of alcohol intake and the genotype of ALDH2 and NAT2 on the risk of laryngeal cancer in Koreans. Materials and Methods: Eighty-four pathologically proven laryngeal cancer patients and 168 age matched controls were included as the study subjects. Information about alcohol intake and smoking habit was collected using a self administered questionnaire. ALDH2 and NAT2 genotypes were analyzed using PCR-RFLP methods. Results: Alcohol intake was significant as a risk factor for laryngeal cancer (OR : 2.58, 95% CI : 1.24, 5.36), especially for supraglottic laryngeal cancer (OR : 3.24, 95% CI : 1.02, 10.31). Personal drinking habit was closely related with personal smoking habit, which was a potent risk factor of laryngeal cancer. In a stratified analysis according to the level of cumulative smoking amount, drinking was significant neither in light smokers (equal or less than 30 pack-years) nor in heavy smoker (over 30 pack-years). The ALDH2 genotype was significantly associated with the risk of laryngeal cancer in a univariate analysis. The statistical significance, however, disappeared after adjusting alcohol intake using a multiple conditional logistic model. The NAT2 genotype was not significant as a risk factor for laryngeal cancer. Conclusion: Alcohol drinking and ALDH2 genotype would have indirect effects on laryngeal cancer by their correlations with cigarette smoking or with alcohol drinking. It is less likely that the NAT2 genotype would be a potent risk factor of laryngeal cancer.

Construction machinery industry is the fastest growing industry and is emerging as one of Korea’s major export industries. In this paper, the status and international competitiveness of construction machinery industry is be discussed, and the impact of the Korea-US FTA negotiations on the construction machinery industry is be analyzed. In terms of the construction machinery industry, the Korea-US FTA negotiations wil be the factor of new threats and opportunities, and the effective response of those will be important in improving the international competitiveness of the construction machinery industry. If the Korea-US FTA negotiations enter into force, each sector production, consumption, as well as the industrial structure is expected to bring a huge change. In terms of macroeconomic trade promotion, investment, productivity and increasing their income through price stability will contribute to increased economic growth and welfare, expanding trade, the relevant technology, capital and labor to increase the movement of regulated markets and economic systems will be an opportunity to change friendly. The long-term acceptance of globalization, actively promote the advancement of institutions and practices and, through complementary hanmigan industrial structure and strengthen the constitution of the domestic industry competitiveness will contribute to the advancement of industrial structure by: When externally, the United States and other countries signed an FTA in the case of foreign direct investment increased after the conclusion of FTA, as shown by the fact that, the investor protection, enable the people-to-people exchanges, enhance external credibility through foreign direct investment has increased is expected. Korea-US FTA will also fast-growing Chinese influence in the region for a containment strategy for China and Japan in Northeast Asian economies to secure a competitive advantage will be an opportunity.
ACE 유전자 다형성에 따른 일회적 탈진성 운동이 혈중 SOD와 MDA에 미치는 영향

It is anticipated that ACE level would be related to antioxidant system by affecting angiotensin Ⅱ. Since there are little studies on this point, the role of polymorphism of ACE gene about oxidative stress should be identified. The purpose of this study, therefore, is to identify the relationship between polymorphism of ACE gene and antioxidant system. In order to perform this study, 39 health adults were grouped by their ACE gene, which are DD, ID andⅡ types, and performed maximal exercise. By observing SOD, MDA values at pre, post and recovery 30 minute, the adjustment effect of exercise can be studied. These results, therefore, can present the basis to the field of exercise prescription and exercise physiology. Each gene groups which were grouped by ACE gene polymorphism performed maximal exercise and their values of SOD and MDA were compared by two factors genotype and time. Based on the results of blood analysis, repeated-measures ANOVA was performed and the major results are as follows . 1)There was an interaction effect between genotypes and times in SOD. Only DD genotype showed different actions as times went when compared the rest of types. This can cause an interaction effect. 2) There was an interaction effect between genotypes and times in MDA. When DD genotype compared to the rest of genotype(ID,Ⅱ), they showed a quite different trend about times. Its value decreased at post exercise and increase at recovery 30. As a result of this conclusion. DD genotype showed different blood SOD, MDA trend as times went when compared the rest of genotype. This was considered to be caused by DD genotype`s high blood ACE level and DD ge notype needed antioxidant adaptation through regular exercise.
