In this paper the Differential Transformation technique is applied to analyze the longitudinal vibration of non - uniform rod with continuously varying density. The governing equation of motion of the non-uniform bar with continuously varying density is derived. The concept of differential transform is briefly introduced. Numerical calculations are carried when the density and area are given by polynomial functions and the natural frequencies of the bar were obtained and analyzed under various boundary conditions by using the differential transformation solutions.
미분변환법과 일반화 미분구적법을 이용한 가변단면 원호 아치의 진동 해석

구조물과 같은 아치의 진동해석은 많은 산업분야에서 다양하게 적용되기 때문에 공학적 문제에 중요한 주제이다. 특히 변화하는 단면형상을 가지는 아치는 질량이나 강도를 최적화 하거나 특별한 구조물이나 요구조건들을 만족하기 위해서 폭넓게 사용되어 진다. 최근에는 일반화 미분구적법(GDQM)이나 미분변환법(DTM)은 각각 Shu와 Zou에 의해서 제안이 되었다. 연구에서는 변화하는 단면형상을 가지는 아치의 진동해석이 일반화 미분구적법과 미분변환법을 적용하였다. 변화하는 단면형상을 가지는 아치에 대하여 지배방정식이 유도되어졌으며, 미분변환과 일반화 미분구적법의 개념이 간단히 소개되었다. 변화하는 단면형상을 가지는 아치의 무차원화된 고유진동수가 다양한 경계조건에 대해서 구해졌으며, 이러한 방법들에 의해서 얻어지는 결과들은 선행연구와 비교 되어졌다. 일반화 미분구적법과 미분변환법은 변화하는 단면형상을 가지는 아치의 진동문제를 해석함에 있어서 빠른 수렴, 정확도, 효율성, 유효성을 보인다. The vibration analysis of the circular arch as a member of a structure has been an important subject of mechanics due to its various applications to many industrial fields. In particular, circular arches with variable cross section are widely used to optimize the distribution of weight and strength and to satisfy special architectural and functional requirements. The Generalized Differential Quadrature Method (GDQM) and Differential Transformation Method (DTM) were recently proposed by Shu and Zou, respectively. In this study, GDQM and DTM were applied to the vibration analysis of circular arches with variable cross section. The governing equations of motion for circular arches with variable cross section were derived. The concepts of Differential Transformation and Generalized Differential Quadrature were briefly introduced. The non-dimensionless natural frequencies of circular arches with variable cross section were obtained for various boundary conditions. The results obtained using these methods were compared with those of previous works. GDQM and DTM showed fast convergence, accuracy, efficiency, and validity in solving the vibration problem of circular arches with variable cross section.

Global Front wheel drive 6-speed automatic transmission family(GF6) was launched globally in 2007 from Korea market. Now in average every 15 second GF6 transmission is built in one of the 5 transmission plants in Korea, China, Mexico, Canada and the United States. In recent years, many automotive Company have been striving to increase fuel economy and to decrease CO2 emission. The reduction of CO2 emissions and improvement of fuel economy can be seen as a general market need. With facing this demand, the GF6 family of General Motors transmission has been analyzed for market demand. The second generation of the GF6(GF6 GEN2) can be divided into two major portion. The first upgrade for GF6 GEN2 is control changes. This upgrade is aiming at improving shift quality and fuel economy with multiple changes to the control system and clutches. And, the second upgrade is hardware such as clutch and hydraulic circuit. It had its debut in the Unites states from 2012 and now will be rolled out in over 100 GM vehicle applications with including Korea market.
