The present study was undertaken to investigate the ulcerogenic eKect of various fruits in rats. Various fruits incluciing peach, apple, apricot, plum and tomato were administerecl to Sha; rat. \Ve observed gastric v.lcerations ancl deterniinecl the gastric acidity, total protein, rnncoprotein and pepsin concentration of gastric juice Z4 hours after aclrninistration. I'he following results ivere obtained. The ulcer inciex. And volume of gastric group. Juice in friiit groups ivere higher than control The total and free acidity of gastric juice in frit groiips showed Jow valiies in comparision ivith control group. 3. The total protein and nnicoprotein of gastric juice in fruit groups were lower than contro} groups. 4. The pepsin activity of gastric juice in fruit grov.p were also lower than control group.
도재전장관용 Opaque 도재에 관한 연구 - paste opaque을 중심으로 -

The purpose of this study was to analyze the commercial paste opaque products currently available in domestic of foreign as well as domestic, such as Duceram Plus(DU; Ducera Dental GmbH, Germany), VMK 95(VM; Vita Co., Germany), Noritake EX-3(EX; Noritake Co., Japan) and Ceramax(CE; Alphadent Co., Korea). They were characterized in thermal expansion coefficient, particle size distribution, viscosity and solvent using thermomechanical analyzer, particle size analyzer, rheometer and infrared spectrophotometer. Experimental results are as follows; Firstly, thermal expansion coefficients were determined $13.9{\times}10-6/^{\circ}C$ for DU, $14.3{\times}10-6/^{\circ}C$ for VM, $13.3{\times}10-6/^{\circ}C$ for EX, and $14.0{\times}10-6/^{\circ}C$ for CE. Secondly, percent of partice size below $1{\mu}m$ were 12% for DU, VM and CE, and 13% for EX, percent between $1{\mu}m$ and $5{\mu}m$ were 42% for DU, 42% for VM, 38% for EX, and 61 % for CE, percent between $5{\mu}m$ and $10{\mu}m$ were 21 % for DU, 24% for VM, 20% for EX, and 18% for CE, and over $10{\mu}m$ were 25% for DU, 22% for VM, 29% for EX, 9% for CE. Thirdly, the basic composition of the solvent in all of the commercial paste opaques were determined as ethylene glycol from FT-IR investigation. Lastly, measured viscosities were 1798 cp for DU, 536 cp for VM, 1110 cp for EX, and 721 cp for CE.
인삼(人蔘), 우유(牛乳), 홍차(紅茶), Coffee 가 백서위궤양(白鼠胃潰瘍) 형성에 미치는 영향

The present study was done to evaluate the effect of ginseng, milk, tea and coffee on the production of gastric ulcer in rats. The ginseng, milk, tea and coffee were adminisiered to Shay rat. We observed the gastric ulceration and determined the gastric acidity, total protcin, mucoprotein and pepsin concentration of gastric juice 24 hours after administration. The following results were obtained. 1. The uler indicies were lower in ginseng group and higher in other groups than that of control group. 2. The acidity of gastric juice was increased in ginseng group and decreased in coffee group. 3. The total and mucoprotein values of gastric juice in ginseng and milk group were significantly increased. 4. The tea and milk group revealed strong stimulating effect on the pepsin secretion.

In this study, the prepared glasses were heat-treated to precipitate the leucite crystal in order to control the thermal expansion coefficient which is an important property of dental porcelain powder. The effect of addition of Li₂O and Na₂O on the amount of the precipitated leucite crystal were also examined. The mixing ratio of the leucite-containing glass must be controlled to match the thermal expansion coefficient of dental porcelain to that of metal. The physical properties of the dental porcelain powder prepared in this study were characterized. The results of this study were obtained as follows : 1. Conditions for the preparation of the maximum amount of leuctie crystal were compostion L-2(2.0 wt% Li₂O added) heat-treated at 950℃. 2. The phase of the precipitated crystals was turned out to be the tetragonal leucite crystal. 3. Maximum relative crystallinity was 64.2% for composition L-2, heat-treated at 950℃. Its linear thermal expansion coefficient was 16.1×10-6/℃ in the range of room temperature to 500℃. 4. The optimum mixing ratio of the leucite-containing glass was 45% in order to match the thermal expansion coefficient of dental porcelain to that of metal. In this case, the thermal expansion coefficient of the prepared dental porcelain was 10.6×10-6/℃ (∼500℃). 5. The physical and chemical properties of the prepared dental porcelain were suitable for the requirements of ISO 6872 and 9693.
