Emerging Therapies in Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria

Chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU) is characterized by typically short-lived and fleeting wheals, angioedema or both, which occur spontaneously and persist for longer than 6 weeks. This term is applied to the most common subtype of chronic urticaria. The underlying pathophysiology for CSU involves mast cell and basophil degranulation with release of histamine, leukotrienes, prostaglandins and other inflammatory mediators. Although a variety of treatments exist, many patients do not tolerate or benefit from the existing therapies and even require more effective treatments. Omalizumab is currently the only licensed biologic for antihistamine-refractory CSU, and novel drugs are under development. This article reviews its current status regarding pathogenesis and approach to treatment as well as therapeutic agents that are under development for the treatment of CSU.

Regarding project management, many organizations have developed and distributed general project management knowledge systems, and application fields use the knowledge systems to apply the process suitable for characteristics of a project. This study suggests project management process models to apply to product development projects and introduces the application cases. This product development project management process model is composed of five top processes of initiation and preparation, planning, implementation management, control, and termination and transfer. The five processes are re-divided into 18 bottom processes. These processes are expressed as input, control, output, and mechanism by using the IDEF0 model. This model is applied to the new car development project of a Korean automobile company and introduces the cases, which shows a project charter, a work breakdown structure, a project schedule, a progress s-curve, a risk register, and a performance report.
旋盤을 利用한 炭素鋼 麻擦熔接의 機械的 性質에 關한 硏究

In this study, hardness, tensile strength and bending strength of carbon steel in friction welding by use of lathe were observed as follows; 1. The optimum revolution of lathe was found at 1,860 r.p.m. in the fixed conditions of 15kg/cm²of heating pressure, 25kg/cm²of upset pressure and 3.5 seconds of upset time. 2. The hardness of test pieces were increased in weld interface and were decreased in the boundary of 2∼4mm distance from weld interface. 3. Tensile strength and bending strength were increased as compared with original materials.

The uncertainty of a project generates risks hindering the goal achievement of the project, and the risks affect the success or failure of the project significantly. Risk management, a part of the project management, includes various processes, and there are also various tools or techniques applicable to that. In an organization, the application of project management develops gradually from low to high maturity, and the organization should choose and implement a method of application proper for the level of its maturity. This article suggests a method to reduce inefficiency of the management and how to apply risk management by levels of maturity for easier application. For this, the stages of project management maturity levels were divided into the introduction, development, and maturity step, and methods of risk management suitable for each stage were applied. And methods of risk management that need to be applied by the levels of project maturity are divided into three factors: risk management processes, risk management tools and techniques, and risk management standards and templates. It is expected to be favorable approaches for the application of risk management in an organization to divide those factors into more concrete processes, tools, techniques, and standards and apply them by the levels of management maturity.

This study deals with the friction weldability of STS304 Austenitic stainless steel to 6000 series aluminium alloys, those are A6061-T6, A6063, A6351. The total upset the biggest in case of STS304-A6063 and depend on strength of aluminium alloy. All welded specimen in the condition of upset pressure 75MPa exceeded the tensile strength of base metal. As a result of analyzing the tensile fracture surfaces, it showed ductility in case of both STS304-A6063 and STS304-A6351, while it showed poor ductility in case of STS304-A6061-T6. The results of bending test coincide with characteristic of tensile fracture surfaces. In the case of STS304-A6063 and STS304-A6351, any crack did not appear in welded joint, even in bending up to 90o. As a result of EDAX analysis of welded joint, it has been confirmed that Ni, Cr and Fe in STS304 were diffused toward aluminium alloy side. Consequently, friction weldability of STS304-aluminium alloys is determineded by combination of micro deformation and diffusion.
