In order to investigate the changs of yield, yield characteristics, and grain quality by different lodging times, this experiment was carried out at the experimental hill site in Chongyang Kun, Chungchong-namdo. Varities―Suweon 18 and Buheung―were tested on this experiment and the results obtained are as follows; 1. Culm lengths were shortened because of lodging shortly after heading. There was the tendency for the culm lengths of Buheung to be shorter than those of Suweon 18. 2. 2. Yield and yield characteristics were reduced because of lodging. When lodging was induced there was a wider range in the number of grains per head. The number of grains per head, the number of head per m^2, and test weight showed a highly positive correlation with grain yield. 3. There was a highly positive correlation between grain yield and pearlingt ate. The earlier after heading that lodging occurs, the greater reduction of grain yield and pearling rate. 4. The protein contents of the barley grain are increased when lodging occurs early, but late lodging causes litter effects on the protein contents. 5. Total protein yield per unit area are decreased by either early or late lodging. 6. There was a highly positive correlation between pearling rate and total protein yield per unit area. 7. Effect on the yield decrease of barley by lodging practiced under the hill side showed no or little differences compared to the results of farming land.

Chinese characters were first transmitted to Japan through Dr. wang-In of Pai-kche Dynasty around the 4th Century. The Japanese people then introduced the modern Conveniences of characters had tried to inscribe Japanese languageon the face of chinese characters, and as results of such attempts, they could finally Create Manyou-Gana Corresponding to the sounds of those chinese characters. On the basic of the Manyou-Gana, Hira-Gana and Kata-kana were made as their authentic characters. Presently the Japanese language is being used as a muxture of chinese characters and kana, but the chinese character reveals the conceptual aspects of the words, while Hira-Gana inscribes auxiliary aspects and Kata-kana is used for special cases. The chinese character has been dominantly used along with Hira-Gana as the means of inscription of Japanese language and is also expected to play consistently an important role in the Japanese language, unseparable with Japanese language.

In Appalachian coal mining operations it is common to use existing equipment for initial mining. When that equipment proves inadequate at a later date, it will be replaced. One of the purpose of this study will be to verify the adequacy of the fan for the life of this mine. A secondary purpose is to evaluate mine ventilation requirements with respect to the mine plan. In order to make this evaluation the most stringent ventilation conditions should be analyzed. This conditions should be determined by matching bleeding requirements and production requirements at the extreme limits of mining. Measurements were made at the mine under operating conditions, the results of this measurement trip are summarized in Table 3 and Figure 3. Average area and perimeter of entry, friction factor(K), pressure loss and resistance across the face, unit resistance, total mine resistance, size of regulators etc. are determined. The results of the ventilation project show that the fan will perform as required, and air flow condition show that adequate air flows through the faces in both directions.

OTHELLO : 人間性의 喪失

For the close examination into Othello's tragic sense in general, not only the hero's characteristic way of thinking, his behavior, but also some important events (or some tragic accidents) were explained in this thesis to give an elucidative conclusion to Othello's tragical and literary values. Iago's conspiracy was firstly mentioned in this thesis for the purpose of elucidating its function to the whole play. Iago, inspite of his highly developed mind, seemed to have been the very man only to create various significent crimes. His name has been thought to be a kind of Sh's symbol word for the evil itself. His evil device made a distinguishing feature; enjoying his own intrigue terribly planned only for the ruin of others. He deserved to be criticized as a "destructive plotter of revenge," even though he looked upon his own behavior as one for the righteous revenge. This is why he never thought of his own egoistic conspiracy as a crimminal sin. He took the best advantage of some innocent people only for bringing his intrigue to a great success. Othello was a symbol hero for his innocent simplicity which was well above his personality and bravery. "He loved not wisely but too well, easily jealousy, but being wrought, perplexed in the extreme." His continuous pursuit of ideal love has been criticized as the very reason why his innocent simplicity was defeated by Iago's evil device. His defeat gave an important meaning to us readers in that his personal ill-luck implied the great loss of our own human nature. His love of an idealistic fantasy of a woman led him into a great conflict which can never be regarded as a philosophical one but as a mere suffering from his sexual envy. His conflict was not for the salvation of human value, but it made a good impression of depriving us of our human value, for his image of goodness was desperatedly teased by Iago's evil device, and for his bringing ruin upon himself implied the collapse of our own human value. This is the best tragic sense of the play, elucidated in this thesis. Desdemona was another great failure in loving her husband Othello, because she herself had an important defect of lacking in worldly wisdom. Although she is the best symbol woman of beauty, purity and love in sh's tragedies, her passion for love is well above her wisdom. If she had loved Othello in the more practical way, and if Othello had examined better into her true love, their tragedy of ill-luck would not have made such a great sacrifice. In conclusion, without Othello's egoistic prejudice and without Desdemona's lacking of worldly wisdom, they would not have been teased by Iago's conspiracy. Even if done so, they would not have meant the loss of our humanity. If they had had goodness and wisdom altogether, they would not have been called the most significent tragic victims.

慶北大學校 新入生 選拔考査의 結果分析

합리적인 入試制度의 확립과 이의 꾸준한 改善을 위한 종합적인 연구의 일환으로서 본 연구는 입시제도에 관한 여러 문제 중 특히 본 대학교 신입생 전형에 최초로 반영한 大學入學豫備考査와 本考査 및 體育實技考査의 상호관계와 이들 성적의 각각이 대학 학업성적을 어느 정도 예언할 수 있는지 그 豫言妥當度를 밝혀 보고자 하였다. 신입생 1,575명 가운데서 분석자료가 미비된 학생을 제외한 984명을 본 연구의 대상으로 하여 각 고사성적 간의 적률상관계수 또는 重多相關을 산출하고 回歸分析을 하여 그 통계적 有意性을 검증하였다. 그 결과 첫째로 입학 성적과 예비고사 성적 및 입학성적과 입학고사 성적간에는 높은 상관이 있었다. 둘째로 예비고사 성적과 입학고사 성적간에도 높은 상관이 있었으나 경상대학만은 의미있는 상관이 나타나지 않았다. 셋째로 입학성적, 예비고사 성적 및 입학고사 성적이 교양과정부 성적을 예언하는 힘이 있기는 하나 약 20%정도로 미약하며 경상대학의 경우 이들 선발고사의 예언타당도는 아주 낮았다. 넷째로 선발고사 성적들이 교양과정부 필수 및 선택교과의 성적을 예언하는 힘도 아주 미약하다. 다섯째로 체육실기고사와 예비고사간의 상관은 의미있는 관계가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 끝으로 체육실기고사의 성적은 대학학업성적을 예언하지 못한다. It is very hard and significant problem to select the most suitable students of many college candidates. Because of that, several innovations of college entrance examination system have been designed and developed by our government authorities for the improvement of college entrance examination system. As one of the new system the Preliminary College Entrance Examination(PCEE) has been developed and administered since 1969. Ministery of Education authorities have encouraged all the universities and colleges to make allowances for the scores of PCEE on College freshmen selection. Our University incorperates 20 percent of PCEE scores into the total scores of College Entrance Exemination(CEE) in 1974. Consequently, we have dual College entrance examinatin systems, i.e. Preliminary College Entrance Examination by the nation and College Entrance Examination by the College. It is neceasary for us to testify this kind of College entrance examination system for the better improvement of Entrance examinatin system and this is why the present study was undertaken. The objective of this study is to find some fundamental data to improve KNU College entrance examination system through analizng the results of each enterance examination scores. The main abjectives of this study were as follows: First, to identify the correlations among PCEE scores, CEE scores, and the total scores. Second, to identify the predictive validity of PCEE score, CEE scoress, and the total scores in the light of internal criteria, the college academie achievement scores. Third, to identify the correlations between every college entrance paper-pencil test scores and the physical skill test scores of physical and health department of Teachers College. Fourth, to identify the predicitive validity of physical skill test scores in terms of the College academic achievement scores. The subjects were 1575 KNU freshmen. And the main findings of this study were as follows: First, there was high correlation between CEE scores and the total scores and high correlation between PCEE scores and the total scores. Second, there was high correlation between PCEE scores and CEE scores. Third, every entrance examination scores(PCEE, CEE, & Total Scores) predicted the College academic achievement scores about 20 percent and so the predictive power of entrance examination scores was relatively low. Fourth, there was no statistically significant correlation between PCEE scores and the physical skill test scores. Fifth, the physical skill test scores can not predict the college academic achievement score.

酸化리튬의 置換에 따른 硼硅酸유리의 分相에 關한 硏究

The phase separation of low-alkali borosilicate glass with the composition of 6.25 Na_2O·18.75 B_2O_3· 75.00 SiO_2 (mole%) substituting Li_2O for Na_2O was studied. The phase separation in the temperature range of transformation was examined with various heating temperatures and soaking times. Durability to water, thermal expansion, specifie density and visible light transmittance of the specimen were investigated and the microstructure of the separated phase was also observed by transmission electron micrograph techniques. The maximum alkali extraction result with he best phase separation effect was obtained when Na_2O of the base glass was replaced with 1.88 Li_2O (mole %) and electron micrograph of carbon film replica of 1.88 Li_2O·4.37 Na_2O·18.75 B_2O_3·75.00 SiO_2 (mole %) glass showed that glass consisted of homogeneous two phases. The minimum specific density was shown with the specimen treated at 570℃ and it was also shown that the longer the treating time the lower the specific density. The apparent activation energies of approximately 45 Kcal/mole by the alkali extraction and 43Kcal/mole by the thermal expansion method were derived from the Arrhenius plots, respectively.
