N/A New metallic powder making processes, named Centrifugal Emulsification Process(CEP) and Mixer and Settler(MS) have been developed to synthesize rapid solidified metallic powders. Through CEP and MS processings, the high temperature metals as well as the low temperature alloys are manufactured. Also, the effects of rapid solidification on the undercooling, solidification rate and crystallization behaviors can be evaluated effectively through the processes. The standard deviations of the synthesized typical Pb-Sn eutectic powders are 1.63 and 1.51 for CEP and MS respectively, and the average size of the MS powders was 18㎛. The possibility of the customized not only size and shape control but microstructure control was also shown. Both of the new methods can be applied to continuous powder making processes.

Objectives : Heavy metal contents in cultivated wild ginseng from Korea and China were evaluated for the safety purpose. Methods : Arsenic(As), cadmium(Cd), lead(Pb), mercury(Hg), copper(Cu), chromium(Cr), and selenium(Se) from the root, stem, and leaves of the Korean cultivated wild ginseng and the root of the Chinese cultivated wild ginseng were analyzed for the existence of heavy metal contents. Results : Most of heavy metals weren't detected in all the samples. Copper and lead were found in very minute volume and didn't reach the toxic concentration level of 10mg/kg. Samples used in the test were grown in non-contaminated areas, free from heavy metal contamination. Conclusions : Based on above results, cultivated wild ginseng from Korea and China are relatively safe from the heavy metal exposure. But for more rigorous quality control, an epidemiological survey using the samples from more diverse areas should be conducted.

We have surveyed the epidemiology of functional dyspepsia in 7 cases of Children and investigated the therapeutic effect on Functional Dyspepsia following 4 weeks medication of Naesowhajung-tang using Electrogastrogram. The Results were as followings: 1. Sex ratio are 6 males, 1 female; their mean ages, $9.0{\pm}1.41(7-11years)$; length, $137.2{\pm}13.86cm$; body weight, $35.3{\pm}l1.34kg$. 2. Most of subjects have a normal growth state. But one case have severe growth disturbance. Familial tendency for this disease is noted in 85.8%. 3. Abdominal pain was seen in 100% of subjects. The indicated symptom was lowed in order of abdominal pain(100%), nausea vomiting(71.43%), general fatigue(65.34%), vertigo headache(57.14%), belching(55.38%), etc. 4. The EGG finding after treatment was improved in 53%, aggrevated in 43. In cases, postprandial improvement was more remarkable than fasting improvement. Common cold and antibiotics seems to have functioned as an aggrevating factor on gastric motility. From the above results, Naesowhajung-tang seems to have been used in the treatment of functional dyspepsia for children.
관절경적 경건 봉합술을 이용한 회전근 개 관절 내 부분파열의 치료 결과

목적: 관절경적 경건 봉합술을 시행한 회전근 개 관절내 부분 파열 환자에 대해 임상적 결과를 분석 보고하고자 하였다. 대상 및 방법: 2006년 4월부터 2010년 1월까지 회전근 개 관절내 부분 파열로 진단되어 관절경적 수술을 시행받은 총 31예의 환자 중 경건 봉합술 (transtendon suture technique)을 시행하고 추시가 가능하였던 24예의 환자를 대상으로 하였다. 환자의 수술 시 평균 연령은 55세 (27~75)였고, 평균 추시 기간은 37개월 (19~64)이었다. 남자가 10예, 여자가 14예였으며 24예 모두 6 mm 이상 파열된 Ellman 등급 3에 해당하였고, 결과 분석은 관절 운동범위, VAS, ASES, Constant 점수를 이용하여 분석하였다. 또한, 영상학적 결과는 초음파를 시행하여 평가하였다. 결과: 평균 전방 거상 범위는 수술 전 150.2 (±6.67)도에서 최종 추시 시 170 (±5.32)도로 향상되었고 평균 VAS 점수는 수술 전 7.38 (±1.38)점에서 최종 추시 시 3 (±1.38)점으로 감소하였다 (p<0.001). Constant 점수는 수술 전 49.25 (±5.65)점에서 최종 추시 시 73.81 (±5.64)점으로 향상되었으며, ASES 점수는 수술 전 39.59 (±12.27)점에서 최종 추시 시 80.56 (±11.36)점으로 향상되었다 (p<0.001). 최종 추시시 만족도 면에서 24예 중 21예에서 결과에 만족한다고 하였으며, 3예에서는 약간의 동통으로 인한 불만족을 나타내었다. 초음파 검사 상, 22예에서 (91.66%) 재파열 소견이 없이 치유되었고, 2예에서 (8.34%) 증상은 호전되었으나 수술전보다 파열이 증가하여 완전파열로 진행한 소견을 보였다. 결론: 회전근 개 관절 내 부분 파열 환자에 대해 관절경적 경건 봉합술을 시행하고 최소 1년 6개월 이상의 추시에서 양호한 임상적 및 영상학적 결과를 보였다. Purpose: To analyze clinical results of arthroscopic trans-tendon repair in a partial articular-side rotator cuff tear. Materials and Methods: Of 31 patients presenting with partial intra-articular rotator cuff tears between April 2006 and January 2010, we selected 24 who had received arthroscopic trans-tendon repair. The average age of patients was 55 (27~75) and the average follow-up period was 37 months (19~64). There were 10 men and 14 women and all had at least a 6 mm tear categorized as Ellman grade 3. Change in range of motion, VAS, ASES, Constant score, and ultrasonographic findings were evaluated postoperatively. Results: The average forward elevation range prior to surgery was 150.2 (±6.67) and it improved to 170 (±5.32) by the last follow-up (p<0.001). The average VAS score prior to surgery was 7.38 (±1.38) and it decreased to 3 (±1.38) (p<0.001). The Constant score before surgery was 49.25 (±5.65) and it increased to 73.81 (±5.64) by the last follow-up (p<0.001). The ASES score before surgery was 39.59 (±12.27) and it increased to 80.56 (±11.36) (p<0.001). At the last follow-up, 21 of the 24 patients were satisfied with the result. However, 3 patients were unhappy and had mild pain. On ultrasonography, 22 patients (91.66%) showed improvement without re-rupture, while the other 2 patients (8.34%) showed an with improved symptoms. Conclusion: In a partial rotator cuff tear in an articular-side lesion, the arthroscopic transtendon suture method shows excellent clinical and ultrasonographic results for at least eighteen months.

본 논문에서는 구면 영상에서 영역 분할 정보를 사용하여 바닥 영역을 검출하는 방법을 제시한다. 평면 영상에서의 Watershed 영역 분할 방법을 수정하여 구면 영상의 영역 분할에 적용할 수 있도록 하였다. 영역들을 분할한 뒤 가정된 바닥 영역 픽셀의 색상과 질감을 그 외의 영역들과 비교하여 바닥 영역을 검출한다. 구면 파노라마 영상에서는 구면 왜곡으로 인하여 평면에서의 바닥 검출 방법을 그대로 적용할 수 없다. 구면 왜곡을 고려한 바닥 영역 검출을 위하여 바닥 영역의 외곽선을 검출하는 알고리즘을 설계하였다. 실험에서 지상물이 없는 경우와 있는 경우의 모두에서 적절하게 바닥 영역을 검출할 수 있는 결과를 보였다. In this paper, we propose a ground area detection technique based on region segmentation in the spherical image. We modified the Watershed planar image segmentation method to segment spherical images. After regions are segmented, the ground area is detected by comparing colors and textures of pixels of the assumed ground region with the pixels of other regions. The ground detection technique for planar images cannot be used for spherical images due to the spherical distortion. Considering the spherical distortion, we designed the ground shape detection algorithm to detect the ground area in the spherical images. Our experimental results show that the proposed technique properly detects ground areas both for the flat ground and the obstacle-filled ground environments.
