The results of the study on the 2 cycle gasoline engine for effection of air-fuel ratio by the atmosphere and fuel conditions; It can enable an aquation to be developed for theoritical and experimental, and air-fuel ratio is more rich mixture in accordance with higher temprature of fuel and air, lower atmosheric pressures.

John Dewey의 民主主義 敎育論에 관한 一考察

The individuality, as Dewey says, is something to be wrought out. For this, he must interact with social setting constantly. The interaction between individuality and social setting is referred to as the way of realizationof common aim. Dewey underlines his development of educationthrough it. In this presentations of education are: 1) that the integration between the goodness of individuality and social goodness must be achieved in education. 2) that the unknown, the prospect, must be searched on the known, the present. 3) that creativity must be cultivated. For this education Dewey insists on 1) the education emphasizing life, 2) the education emphasizing social reconstruction, and 3) the principle of learning by doing. The education emphasizing life is to be of importance in process. First, this education emphasizes child's activities. Second, subject matter is those to encourage the activities. Third, the individuality is centered in process of learning. The last is the teacher's task that modifies the child's activities into intellectual assets. The education emphasizing social reconstruction is thatthe representatives of social life are introduced to educational program and that man's freedom is protected in process of education. The principle of learning by doing is toacquire the result of learning in operation. Therefore, those to be problematic are to be supplied for children. Then, the purpose and evaluation in activities are essential in education.

John Dewey의 探究理論에 관한 一硏究

The purpose of this paper is to find out the characteristics in the development of Dewey's inquiry In Dewey, the theory of inquiry is related with making of Knowledge. This Knowledge is made in the process of experience. It's meanings are: (1) to be acquired, (2) to be instrumental, (3) to be actual, and (4) to be valuable. To make such a Knowledge, inquiry must be free from the unobservable, the transcendental, and the intuitional. It lies in all the phases and all the fields of life. Finally, from this particular task to the scientific and rational theory it continues and develops in process. In this sense, Dewey's theory of inquiry can be interpreted as follow. 1) The inquiry creates the logic in itself and by its logic is established. That is, the formulation of conditions of inquiry activity is recognized as the logical forms. They play the part of controlling and directing the inquiry. 2) The inquiry in process involves the leaps and skips. That which is not present is suggested on the base of the Known. 3) The inquiry has operational character. It serves the task of choosing and manipulating the object. 4) The inquiry controls the process of learning. It generalizes the results of learning. The situation must be dealt with to understand Dewey's theory of inquiry, for which the transformation of indeterminate situation into determinate one is refered. In other words, situation is the scene of the inqury in process. The functions of situation in the process of inquiry are ① keeping consistence of inquiry activity, ② suggesting the conditions of the leaps and skips, and ③ preparing the requirement of the preposition. Therefore inquiry is significant only into the situation continuum.

The equations of the result from thermodynamic analysis for mean effective pressure of the WANKEL engine enable to be studied the effect of in take and exhaust manifold pressures on the performence of engine. The relation between engine performance and intake and exhaust pressures was lineay Experimental resalts show similar relationship between engine performance and pressures to those oftained theoretically.

(Ⅰ) The primary purpose of this paper is to find out some devices to improve the present conditions of local government finance in Korea. As is well known, rapid economic growth, sudden social changes and complicated social problems withnessed in Korea since the 1960's have expedited the expansion of local government activities. And this expansion has to be accompanied by a corresponding rise in expenditures. But the slow growth of local finance can not keep pace with the rapid expansion of expenditures. Moreover this trend seems to be continued in the future unless fundamental improvement is accomplished. Accordingly, to improve the local government finance is raised as one of the urgent problems. (Ⅱ) For the sake of this purpose, this paper has analyzed in the first place the trend and present conditions of local finance. By the result of this analysis, it is made clear that, although the total scale of local finance in Korea increased from \180.3 billion in 1970 to \1,763.7 billion in 1979, it is too scanty to meet the rapidly increasing social needs and to cope with the increasing problems. In the first place, the radio of local finance to GNP in total scale was only 4.32% in 1979 while that of U.S.A. 15.5%, West Germany 17.0%, and Japan 14.2% in 1976. In the second place, the level of self-supporting finance is also low. On a national scale, the self-supporting degree of local finance ws merely 56.7% in 1979. And in the third place, the scale of local tax revenues is small. In 1979, the ratio of local tax revenues to national tax revenues was only 39.16%. This has to be accompanied by the unstability of the structure of local tax revenues. (Ⅲ) To improve this scanty local finance, this paper proposed some devices as follow. (1) Expansion of local tax revenues. For the fundamental expansion of local tax revenues, it is necessary to reform local tax system and to expand tax sources. In the present tax system which was formed on the premise of the separation of tax sources, local government can only use scanty and limited tax sources. Therefore to increase local revenues fundamentally, tax system should be changed by admitting common use of tax sources so that local government also may abundant tax sources. (2) Refrom of grants-in-aid system. Nowadays most of local governments depend in substantial part on financial grants-in-aid from the central government. And in the present system grants-in-aid from the central government with attached string of supervision can harm the independence of local government. Therefore grants-in-aid system must be reformed so that grants from the central government may be used not for control to local government but for aid to the letter. (3) Development of new financial resource. With the expansion of local government functions, it is generally taken into account for a local government to put in operation a way of "city-management." In conncetion with this idea, local governments need to develop new financial resources by rationalization of local public enterprise or by establishing new public enterprise.

알루미나의 플라스마 鎔射에 關한 實驗硏究

Plasma sprayed coating has to be regarded as one of the most universal coating techniques. Dif-ferent plasma spraying process alow to work with all kind of materials, from low melting plastics to high melting compounds. This paper has described experimentals of a plasma sprayed coating of AL₂O₃for S25C steel bar, the basic experimentals were carried out during torch thermal efficiency and tensile adhesion test of plasma coating.

전환기 언론의 공적(公的) 역할 연구 : 한국 신문메체를 중심으로

The basic purpose of this study was to elaborate public roles and social responsibility of the Korean press in a transitional period of the late 1980s. By analyzing a series of problems stemmed from Korean newspapers in this period, the study tried to establish a model of solution of how Korean press could meet their public roles. For these purposes, this study looked at the structure and practice of Korean newspapers. In addition, the study also reviewed how Korean newspapers have self-advertised their commitment to publick interest and social responsibility for their private profits. On the basis of the results analyzed, the study came to conclusions as follows: First, a free and fair competition in newspaper business should be guaranteed by relevant laws and sound commercial ethics as well. Second, it is needed to support the people's right to access to the media by enhancing participation of the audience or organizing volunteering civil groups. Third, while Korean newspapers have been watched under the self-control system such as ombudsmen and press council, those systems should be improved by removing their superficiality for their active function.
