Various effective therapeutic treatments in the disorder of the Parknsosn's disease are important, but it is more important to keep the partient in good physical condition. The patient should admit the reality, and be told that the disease is developing very slow and doesn't have any metal or the Possibility of prevention and / or detention of the disorder should be emphasized. The patient needs to be led to overcome the worry, anxiety, gear over the disease and to participate in social activities as frequently as possible.

『더블린 사람들』의 「자매들」 읽기: 작가와 독자사이의 공간이해

One of the most striking characteristics in “The Sisters” of Dubliners is the understanding gaps between the author and readers. The protagonist, so-called unnamed boy, tells the story and we readers read the work and try to understand what he says. The protagonist himself, as well as we ourselves, is puzzled by so many hints and intricate questions, however. The episode, moreover, is full of elliptical language which often throws us into confusion. The sentences usually trail off, unfinished and are eventually hard to understand. The episode, therefore, is undoubtedly about ambiguity and about the impossibility of reaching certainty. The readers encounter several barriers to understanding. The three key-words Joyce newly provides, paralysis, simony, and gnomon in his revised edition are hard to understand. I suggest, however, that they should be his real authorial writing technique to make us understand what we read clearly and perspectively.

The twentieth century has been a bad period for Pelagians, those who confidently proclaim the virtues and intelligence of human beings. Modern English literary works seem, at the whole, to support Augustine against Pelagius, emphasizing as they do the frailty and nastiness of men. The most outstanding one of those works is The Lord of the Flies written by William Golding. His novel recapitulates in a fable immediately resonant to a twentieth sensibility the themes that originate in Swift. The theme of the work can be described as the change from innocence, which is the innocence of the self, to tragic knowledge. The tragic knowledge is that evil is inherent in most men and, as Golding himself suggests in his Hot Gates, “human beings produce it(evil) as bees produce honey.” This is “the dark epiphany": a realization of sin, sinisterness, and evil with no promise of reprieve. Proceeding from this fact, Golding of course believes in human guilt and the human sense of innocence lost. He, however, also believes in hope of redemption by giving Ralph opportunity to survive.

The vignettes of The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros are about the maturing of a young Chicana and the development of a writer, Esperanza Cordero. Esperanza wants to be a writer and tries to discover the complexity of the dual identity as a Chicana woman. Although she wants to escape the Chicano community, Esperanza wishes to remember the certain aspects of the poor and dirty community. She realizes that she should find it a source of her inspiration. As a writer, she believes that she can find her voice and overcome sexism, classism, and racism. Through telling stories about her own experiences, she can find her own identity as a Mexican American. In the end, Esperanza tries to find a way to bridge the gap between both Chicana women’s American and Mexican identity.

The purpose of this essay is to study the iconicity of James Joyce’s Finnegans Wake. The iconicity is the similarity or analogy between the form of a sign and its meaning. It is usually divided into two different types: the imagic iconicity and the diagrammatic one. The two types of it can be applied to analyze and explain some characteristics of the major characters of Finnegans Wake. In the novel, many of the characters morph into other characters from scene to scene, and the two main characters, HCE and ALP, seem to be divided into separate sides of their personality. The multiplicity of their incarnations makes it difficult to identify them in the same way as characters in traditional fiction. The portmanteau word of Finnegans Wake challenges two myths on which most assumptions about the efficacy of language rest. The writer James Joyce used a lot of icons, indices, and simbols(sigla), blending the reality of life with a dream world. He also created a few diagrams or signs for the chief characters, e.g., ⴜ(HCE), △(ALP), ⼕(Shem), ∧(Shaun), and ⊣(Issy). As an experimental novelist, Joyce exploited the iconic aspects of letters and ciphers to go beyond the limits of traditional language.

Dentin bonding agent 의 처리에 따른 도재라미네이트용 레진시멘트의 변연누출과 피막후경에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the microleakage and film thickness of resin cement for porcelain laminate veneer after treatment with dentin bonding agents. The dentin bonding agents such as Scotchbond 2(3M Co.. U.S.A.), All Bond 2(Bisco Co.. U.S.A.), Prisma Universal Bond 2(Caulk. Densply. U.S.A.) and Clearfil Liner Bond(Kuraray Co., Japan) were used in this study. The anterior teeth was prepared for porcelain laminate veneer and porcelain laminate veneer was constructed for each tooth with refractory die technic. 7 groups of 35 teeth were prepared for porcelain laminate veneer - 4 groups with the apical margin of the veneer in dentin, 3 groups in enamel. The teeth were treated with various dentin bonding agents prior to cementation with porcelain laminate veneer. After cementation, the specimens were stored in 37℃. 100% humidity for 7 days. thermocycled for 1000 cycles. Microleakage and film thickness of resin cement were measured with inverted metallurgical microscope (PME 311. Olympus. Japan). The results were as follows 1. The Clearfil Liner Bond and All Bond 2 were effective in reducing microleakage of veneers bonded to dentin, approximately to the same degree to the veneers bonded to enamel. But Prisma Universal Bond 2 and Scotchbond 2 failed to limit microleakage at the gingival margin of veneers bonded to dentin. 2. The 40% phosphoric acid in G-Cera system and the 10% phosphoric acid in All-bond 2 appeared equally effective in reducing microleakage of veneers bonded to enamel. 3. There were no significant increase in cement film thickness when using Prisma Universal Bond 2 or Scotchbond 2, but with All Bond 2 and Clearfil Liner Bond. slight increase in the cement film thickness were present.

The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate Angela Carter’s The Magic Toyshop as a postmodern feminist work. As it is discussed in the paper, Carter’s aim is to demythologize the accepted definitions of femininity by patriarchal order or custom. She observes and processes this in the characters of Melanie and her aunt Margaret, who symbolize the positive evolution of women and the negative encoding previously accepted as femininity, respectively. Carter tries to evoke the illusion of patriarchal authority represented by Uncle Philip through this work, and attempt to dismantle it with Melanie's resistance and struggle. Even Margaret contributes to its dissolution by making her husband a cuckold through adultery with her younger brother, Francie. After Philip’s death, Melanie and Finn get an opportunity to start a new life in a new world. As a postmodern feminist, Angela Carter ultimately challenges the biased and patriarchal notions and definitions of women.
