Ch?ngjo, the 22th king of Chos?n Dynasty compiled all kinds of literary selections for the purpose of advancing the literature during the period of his reign. He thought that contemporary writings had got corrupted, therefore he tried to change them by means of reviving the Nee-Confucianism. The result was that many books came out and were spread among civil subjects, Ch?ngjo encouraged new scholars of Kyujanggak, Royal library to compile thouse books activitily with him. To put it concretely, Asong(selection of Chuja's poems) Duvulpunwun(si-election of Dufu's poems) Yukyulpunwun(selection of Yukyu's poems) Munwonpobul(exemplar of documents and letters of state) Paljabakson(selection of eight writer's prose) Sagjyoungson(selection of Sagi, Historical records land so on were published. then they were fine literary examples.

「최고운전」에 나타난 문제 상황의 특징과 소설사적 의의 연구

본고에서는 「최고운전」에 나타난 문제 상황의 특징을 통해 작품의 의미와 소설사적 의의를 함께 분석하고자 했다. 우선 「최고운전」은 그 문제 상황이 개인의 외부에서 촉발되며 연속적인 성격을 지닌다는 점에서 전기소설과 변별된다. 그로써 전기소설과는 다른 해결책과 영웅적인 주인공이 요청되기 때문이다. 그러나 문제 상황으로 제시되는 공간의 이면에 살리는[生] 공간으로의 가능성 또한 놓여 있다는 점에 주목할 필요가 있다. 그리하여 그 가능성을 이끌어내는 방식으로 문제가 해결된다는 점에서, 「최고운전」은 영웅소설과도 거리를 둔다. 특이하게도 이러한 서사 구조는 결말부에 이르러 전변되는데, 그리하여 그간의 서사 구조에 내포된 낙관적 사고의 순진함이 노정된다. 문제 상황은 특정 공간에 편재(偏在)하는 것이 아니라 편재(遍在)하는 것이어서, 이미 문제가 해결되었어야 할 귀환 지점 또한 여전히 문제적인 공간이었다. 그런 측면에서 결말은 주제의식을 한층 고도화하며, 또한 소설사적으로도 후대의 영웅소설에서 천명에 의거한 세계관이 꾸준하게 반복되는 이유에 대해 시사점을 제공한다. 따라서 「최고운전」은 서사 구조 상의 독특함뿐만 아니라, 소설사적으로 전기소설로부터의 이탈과 영웅소설의 예고를 보여준다는 점에서도 주목할 가치가 높은 작품이다. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the meaning of Choigounjeon and its historical significance together through the characteristics of the problematic situations. First of all, the problematic situation of Choigounjeon had an external, non-personal and continuous nature from the beginning. Therefore, a different solution from chuanchi and a heroic protagonist were requested. At the same time, the possibility of a space behind the space presented as a problem situation in Choigounjeon also lies, distancing itself from hero novels in that the problem is solved in a way that leads to the possibility. In the ending, Choi Chi-won observes that the problem situation is not limited to a particular space. The problem situation is not just in one place, but to be ubiquitous, so the point of return, which should have already been resolved, was still a problematic space. In this regard, the ending served to further enhance the sense of theme. It also provides implications for the reason why the worldview based on heaven is constantly repeated in later hero novels. Therefore, Choigounjeon is a work worth noting in that it shows not only a unique narrative structure, but also a departure from chuanchi and a preview of hero novels in the history of fiction.
