This study was undertaken to investigate the cutting behaviour of super duralumin (A2024-T3) with sintered carbide tool(P20). The cutting test was carried out under different conditions such as cutting speed, cutting depth and rake angle, etc. The specific cutting force Kc and Kt of vertical and radial forces decreases as cutting speed increases, especially the decrease rate of Kt becomes larger than of Kc as cutting speed increases. Kc and Kt in small cutting depth are much affected by work-hardening of surface layer. The chip width and shear angle become layer as cutting depth increases, especially chip width at feed of 0.1mm almost approaches cutting width. Relation between the friction coefficient of chip side and tool rake angle side can make the modelization studying the built-up edge size. The shear angle model equation of super duralumin generally agree with theory of Ernst-Merchant.

This study has analyzed examined an experiment on the frictional wear of tool materials at high speed. The results of experiment are as follows. 1. With the increase in the frictional velocity and the contact pressure, the decrease of the frictional coefficient is influenced more by the softness of the frictional surface layer than by oxide. 2. Specific wear rate is influenced more by the frictional velocity than by the contact pressure. 3. The character of the specific wear rate and the contact pressure of each test piece is similar to one another.

This study is concerned with the measurement and analysis on the actual conditions of vibration and noise at the main roadside in pusan. It's results excess on level of environmental vibration and noise requisite to protect public health and welfare with an adequate margin of safety. Vibration and noise pollution affect the health of human beings and its actual condition is more and more serious by high speed of various vehicles and development of industry. It will contribute to the vibration and noise control.

In this paper, results of test about machinability of the carbide tools having various tool angle on light cutting are described. The conclusion is as follows ; 1. According to the increase of cutting speed, specific cutting forces are decreased. 2. According to the increase of cutting speed and feed, chip width and chip thickness are both decreased. 3. The experimental roughness of working surface became smaller than theoretical roughness. 4. Size of burrs decreased with increase of disengage angle.

In this paper, the results of tests about practicability of the carbide tools having various tool angles on the light cutting are described. And the conclusion is as follows: 1. In turning the Aluminium, the border line between normal and abnormal regions can be obtained in the range of ordinary cutting conditions. 2. The characteristics of the tool system have a large effect on the dynaimc component of cutting forces. 3. Chip form has a wide adaptability to meet the change of external and internal forces sensitively.

This paper has been carried out ot clarify the behavior of the BUE experimented Aluminium with using tungsten caribide tools. The results obtained are as follow : There was the block that varied suddenly at the initial cutting force. From the point of cutting distance 150㎜ Happened the BUE and the cutting force was the normal state. As share angle is increased, compression coefficient of the chip are increased. Relation between the friction coefficient of chip side and tool rake side can make the modelization studying the BUE size. As cutting speed is increased, chip thickness is decreased.

This study was performed to investigate cutting force characteristics for the purpose of detecting tool wear by variations in cutting force. In this experiment, austempered ductile iron(ADI) is worked by a ceramic tool under finish-machining conditions. The main results obtained are as follows ; 1) In finish machining condition, the magnitude of radial force was the greatest among 3-cutting component forces. 2) The ratio of radial force to tangential force appeared constantly in spite of the variation of cutting condition and nose radius. 3) The ratio of radial force to tangential force increased linearly with respect to tool flank wear width. Thus we knew that tool flank wear is able to detect by the ratio of radial force to tangential force. 4) If tool flank wear exceed by some range, surface roughness decreased with tool flank wear.

The techiques of gundrilling and gun boring began developing in the late 18th century with the need for more accurate bores in rifle and cannon. Gun drilling developed first for correcting errors in long holes and was later modified to bore through solid stock. Gun drilling is performed with the rotating drill and stationary workpiece in this study. The work material is SM45C carbon steel. Empirical data thave been obtained for work materials SM45C under pepresentative drilling conditions. The several features of gun drilling are obtained in this study.
