        1990년 7월부터 1996년 8월까지 16회에 걸쳐 慶南 陝川郡 龍州面 박실지와 연당지 및 그 周邊 地域의 水生植物과 植物相을 조사한 결과는 다음과 같았다. 1. 조사된 總 植物은 38目 107科 287屬 365種 1亞種 61變種 3品種 總 430種類로 구성되었다. 2. 이들 중 水生植物이 11目 22科 41種 10變種 1品目 總 52 種類 12.1%이고, 挻水植物 25種類 5.8%, 浮葉植物 15種類 3.5%, 沈水植物 9種類 2.5%, 浮生植物 3種類 0.8%였다. 3. 陸上植物은 36目 92科 269屬 324種 1亞種 51變種 2品種 總 378種類 87.0%였고, 이들 중에는 濕生植物이 50種類 13.2%, 水邊植物이 328種類 86.8%였다. 4. 박실지의 溜池에서 優占種은 마름, 準優占種은 줄이었고, 연당지에서의 優占種은 줄이었고 準優占種은 연이었다. 5. 희귀식물인 가시연꽃과 통발, 북방분자인 돌단풍과 도루박이 및 최근에 국내에 분포하는 것이 확인된 민초피나무의 분포가 논의되었다. The flora and distribution of hydrophytes and terrestrial plants from Paksil and Yundang swamp and their adjacent area in Hapchon-hun. Kyongsangnam-do were investigated at sixteen times from July. 1990 to August. 1996. The flora was composed of 38 orders. 107 families. 287 genera. 365 species. 1 subspecies, 61 varieties, and 3 forma, total 430 taxa. Among them, the vascular hydrophytes were composed of 11 orders. 22 families, 31 genera, 41 species, 10 varieties, and 1 forma, total 52 taxa. 12.1%. These were composed of 25 taxa emerged plants. 15 taxa floating-leaves plants. 9 taxa submerged plants, and 3 taxa free-floating plants. The terrestrial plants were composed of 36 orders. 92 families. 269 genera. 324 species. 1 subspecies. 51 varieties, and 2 forma. total 378 taxa. 87.9%. Among them, the hygrophytes and water side plants were 50 taxa, 13.2% and 328 taxa, 86.8%. In Paksil swamp dominent species was Trapa japonica and subdominent was Zizania latiforia on the whole. In Yundang swamp dominent species was Zizania latiforia and subdominent species was Nelumbo nucifera on the whole. The distribution of Euryale ferox. Scirpus radicans. Acerphyllum rossii. Utricularia Japonica. Xanthoxylum piperitum var. inerme. were discussed. Also the work protection of Paksil swamp were discussed.

      • 木浦(나무벌)의 水生 및 濕生管束植物相과그들의 保護

        1993년 7월 부터 1995년 5월 까지 9회에 걸쳐 慶南 昌寧郡準 梨房面 木浦(나무벌)의 水生 및 濕生植物과 그들의 生活形, 開花期 및 花色을 조사한 결과는 다음과 같았다. 1. 조사된 總 植物은 4目 31科 48屬 71種 14變種 2品種 總 87種類였다. 2. 이들 중 水生植物이 11目 20科 23屬 38種 9變種 1品種 總 48種類 55.2%이고, 挻水植物 22種類 45.8%, 浮??植物 15種類 31 3%, 沈水植物 8種類 9.2%, 浮生植物 3種類 6.3%였다. 3. 濕生植物은 10目 24科 25屬 33種 5變種 1品種 總 39種類 44.8%였다. 4. 木浦 植物相의 開花期는 7~8월에 가장 많이 開花하여 여름개화기 후형이었고 北半球 溫帶 氣候 開花期이었다. 5. 木浦 樵物相의 花色 多樣性에서 가장 많은 색은 綠色(33.3%)이었고 다음이 흰색(25.4%)이었다. 6. 溜池에는 마름이 優占種이었고, 가시연꽃이 準優占種이었으며 가시연꽃은 單一種으로 된 群落을 형성하고 있었다. 7. 늪지의 水生 및 濕生植物의 分布 즉 마름, 가시연꽃 자라풀, 수염마름 등의 分布가 논의되었으며 이들 濕地植物과 늪의 保護를 위한 課題도 논의되었다. The flora, distribution, life form, flowering period, and flower colors of hydrophytes and hygrophytes from Mokp,o swamp in Changny□ng-gun, Ky□ngsangnam-do, Korea were investigated at nine times from July, 1993 to August, 1995. The flora was composed of 16 orders, 31 families, 48 genera, 71 species, 14 varieties, and 2 forma; total 87 taxa. Among them, the vascular hydrophytes were composed of 11 orders, 20 families, 23 genera, 38 species. 9 varieties, and 1 forma, total 48 taxa, 55.2%. These were composed of 22 taxa emerged plants(45.8%), 15 taxa floating-leaves plants(31.3 %), 8 taxa submerged plants(9.2%), and 3 taxa free-floating plants(6.3%). The hygrophytes were composed of 10 orders, 13 families, 25 genera, 33 species, 5 varieties, and 1 foema: total 39 taxa, 44.8%. The peak of flowering period occurred in August. The most species in this swamp were flowering from July to August. The pattern of flowering period was responded summer flowering climate pattern and northern middle latitute region flowering climate pattern. In the study of flower color diversity of Mokp,o flora, the most abundunt colcr was green taxa(33.3%) and the white was second(26.4%). In Mokp.o swamp dominent species was Trapa japonica and subdominent was Euryale ferox on the whole. The distribution of hydrophytes: Euryale ferox, Trapa japonica, Hydrocharis dubia and Trapella sinensis var antenifera were discussed. Also the work for protection of the swamp and wetland plants in Mokp.o were discussed.

      • PCR Detection of Disease Resistant Transgenic Rice for the Biosafety Assessment

        Regulations in the EU, Japan, Korea, etc. require that foods and feeds made of or derived from genetically modified organisms (GMOs) should be approved and labeled according to a threshold. Recently, disease resistant transgenic rice was developed in Korea, which resulted from the transformation events involving choline kinase gene, OsCK1. In order to monitor unintended release of the developed GM rice in the near future, as well as to meet GM-labeling requirements, the development of a reliable method for detection of disease resistant GM rice is requisite. Here, specific primer pairs for the detection of GMO was designed on the basis of a introduced gene and the flanking junction sequences between a plant DNA and a integrated gene construct, and also SPS gene was used as an endogenous reference material. Specificities of all designed primers were tested through qualitative PCRs. Clearly, target specific amplicons could be detected from disease resistant GM rice event. In addition, the limits of detection (LOD) using the event-specific primers were approximately 0.1% for the disease resistant GM rice line. This result indicated that the developed detection method is suitable for the traceability of disease resistant GM rice, because of using the primer specifically corresponded to the junction site between plant genomic DNA and inserted DNA.         투수 및 암반거동을 고려한 터널 라이닝의 거동 분석

        시공후 터널의 거동에 영향을 주는 대표적인 인지들로 시간에 따른 투수상태와 지반의 장기거동을 들 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 인지들과 관련된 터널거동을 분석하기 위한 수치해석모델을 개발하고 터널이 겪을 수 있는 다양한 시공 후 하중 조건에 대하여 수치해석을 수행하였다. 터널 변상에 대한 영향인자와 터널거동의 메카니즘을 파악하기 위해 가능한 모든 변상 발생 시나리오를 구성하였으며, 부직포의 투수계수, 수위상승, 장기적인 이완하중과 과발파로 인한 손상 등 터널의 시공 후 장기 변상에 관련된 인자들이 조사되었다. 시공 후 터널 변상 발생 시나리오는 터널형식과 그에 따른 하중 메카니즘에 따라 크게 두 가지로 구분할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 토사터널에 대해서는 투수상태와 관련된 거동이 주요 변상의 원인으로 분석되었으며 배수재의 투수계수 저하와 수위상승에 의한 영향에 대해 분석하였다. 암반 터널에서는 암반의 점소성거동을 분석하였고 암반의 이완과 크립에 의한 장기적인 이완하중의 영향에 대해 연구하였다. After construction, time-variant seepage and long-term underground motion are representative factors to understand the abnormal behavior of tunnels. In this study, numerical models have been developed to analyze the behavior of tunnels associated with seepage and long-term underground motion. Possible scenarios have been investigated to establish causes-and-results mechanisms. Various parameters such as permeability of tunnel filter, seepage condition, water table, long-term rock mass load, size of damaged zone due to excessive blasting have been investigated. These are divided into two sub-parts depending on the tunnel type and major loading mechanisms depending on the types. For the soft ground tunnels, the behavior associated with seepage conditions has been studied and the effect of permeability change in tunnel-filter and the effect of water-table change which are seldom measurable are investigated in detail. For the rock mass tunnels, tunnel behavior associated with the visco-plastic behavior of rock mass has been studied and the long-tenn rock mass loads as a result of relaxation and creep have been considered.

        Physics-Based SPICE Model of a-InGaZnO Thin-Film Transistor Using Verilog-A

        In this work, we report the physics-based SPICE model of amorphous oxide semiconductor (AOS) thin-film transistors (TFTs) and demonstrate the SPICE simulation of amorphous InGaZnO (a-IGZO) TFT inverter by using Verilog-A. As key physical parameter, subgap density-of-states (DOS) is extracted and used for calculating the electric potential, carrier density, and mobility along the depth direction of active thin-film. It is confirmed that the proposed DOS-based SPICE model can successfully reproduce the voltage transfer characteristic of a-IGZO inverter as well as the measured I-V characteristics of a-IGZO TFTs within the average error of 6% at $V_{DD}$=20 V.

      • Comparative nutritional analysis for marker-free transgenic Bt rice and non-transgenic counterparts

        The selectable marker-free rice plants containing mcry1Ac insecticidal gene isolated from Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) were generated using a non-selection approach by Agrobacterium tumefaciens-mediated transformation. The nutritional composition of two lines of transgenic rice plants (RTB5 and RTB11) was compared with that of its non-transgenic counterpart. The results showed that, except for small differences in dietary fiber and some minerals, there was no significant difference between transgenic rice and conventional counterpart variety with respect to their nutrient composition. Most of measured levels of nutrients were within the range of values reported for other commercial cultivars, showing substantial equivalency. Therefore, the insertion of transgenes did not affect the nutritional composition of transgenic RTB5 and RTB11 rice grains.

      • Overexpression of tocopherol cyclase resulted in an increase tocopherol content drought stress tolerance of rice

        Tocopherols (α-, β-, γ- and δ-tocopherols) represent a group of lipophilic antioxidants which are synthesized only by photosynthetic organisms. It is widely believed that protection of pigments and proteins of photosynthetic system and polyunsaturated fatty acids from oxidative damage caused by reactive oxygen species (ROS) is the main function of tocopherols. In the present study, NtTC, which encodes a tobacco tocopherol cyclase ortholog, was cloned and characterized. Compared with control plants, NtTC transgenic rice showed higher tolerance to drought stress, and total tocopherol content increased by 52 % in leaf. Additionally, total antioxitant activity of NtTC transgenic lines was increased significantly by 19%. These results demonstrate that over-expressing NtTC could improve the tolerance to abiotic stress in rice, and tocopherols play a crucial role in the protection of oxidative stress.

      • Characterization of agronomic traits of insect resistant GM Kimch cabbage

        A Transgenic Kimch cabbage has been developed harboring T-DNAs expressing delta-endotoxin insecticidal protein, herbicide (basta) resistant protein, and antisense transcript of AsMADS2 gene. Three transgenic lines, #24, #45, and #51, originated from the same T0 plant were analyzed in terms of molecular characterization, phenotype, and agronomic traits. Flanking sequence analysis confirmed that T-DNA, with 7132 bp intact structure, was inserted onto the pseudochromosome A10 of B. rapa and all the genes in T-DNA were functionally active. Three of GM cabbage showed 69.2~75.3% of plant height and 81.8~89.7% of diameter to those of the isogenic variety ‘Nowon’, respectively. Curving upward leaf lamina attitude was observed on GM cabbage, while straight or slight concave on non-GM cabbage. In addition, an average range of 86~91.5% of head height and 87.4~94.8% of head diameter were observed on GM cabbage to those of the isogenic variety ‘Nowon’, respectively Moreover, curled inwards or slight overlap of head-forming leaf overlap at terminal region was observed on GM cabbage, but curled outwards or erect on non-GM cabbage. AsMADS2, a transcription factor reported to be involved in early flowering, was stably expressed to RNA in the GM cabbage, but it was not shown the significant influences to flowering time.

        Event-specific Qualitative and Quantitative Polymerase Chain Reaction Methods for Detection of Insect-resistant Genetically Modified Chinese Cabbage Based on the 3'-junction of the Insertion Site

        Transgenic Chinese cabbage 416-3 was developed in Korea by a transformation event involving modified insectresistant gene (cry1Ac1). To monitor unintended release of genetically modified (GM) Chinese cabbage in the future, as well as to meet GM-labeling requirements, the development of a reliable method for detection of GM cabbage is requisite. To develop qualitative and quantitative polymerase chain reaction methods for the insect-resistant GM Chinese cabbage, a cytosolic glutathione reductase (BcgGR1) gene was used as the endogenous reference gene. Primer pairs CGR-1/-2, amplifying the Chinese cabbage endogenous gene, yielded an expected amplicon of 121bp, whereas no amplified product was observed when DNA samples from seven non-cabbage plants were used as templates. The event-specific primer pairs amplifying the junction site between the endogenous genome sequence and the transferred DNA of GM event 416-3, produced amplicons of desired size by qualitative polymerase chain reaction (PCR) assay. An eventspecific quantitative PCR detection method was established using a TaqMan probe and a standard plasmid as a reference molecule,which contained both endogenous and event-specific sequences. For the validation of this method, three different compositions of w/w mixed samples (containing transgenic DNA at 5, 1, and 0.5%of total DNA in the control samples) were quantified. The precision, expressed as standard deviation (SD) and relative standard deviations (RSD), deviated by 0.03–0.26% and 4.75–8.06%, respectively. These results clearly demonstrate that the PCR methods developed herein can be used for event-specific qualitative and quantitative testings of insect-resistant GM Chinese cabbage.
