      • EFFECTS OF FUNCTIONAL INFORMATION OF ADVERTISING OF FUNCTIONAL CLIMBING WEAR

        Three categories of basic consumer needs are functional, symbolic, or experiential (Shimp, 2010). Functional climbing wear is specially designed garment for outdoor activity and climbing movement using optimized textiles and garment making engineering process. Therefore, visible feature such as color and design could not provide sufficient information of products for proper communication between company and consumer. Product information of functional wear can be delivered to the consumers via Hang-Tag or advertising but the contents of Hang-Tag are too difficult for the consumers to understandfunctional performance of the product (Lee, Bang, & Yoo, 2014). As to advertisements of functional clothing, its contents and appeal types do not much differ from those of fashion apparel providing no functional information with celebrity models; percentage of no functional information ads were the highest (Liu & Yoo, 2014). This study stared to answer the question, ‘is functional information essential in the ads of functional clothing?’ and ‘is it successful?’ The aim of this study, therefore, was to examine the effects of functional information in the advertisements of functional climbing wear. The advertising effectiveness was measured by ‘communicability’, ‘reliability’,‘favorability’ of the advertisement and ‘awareness and reliability of product’, and ‘purchasing related influence’. For the stimulus,10 different types of advertisements were prepared by combining of the following factors: functional information (whether or not to include), appeal type (rational/emotional), and model type (celebrity/non-celebrity/no-human). For the survey, 388 adults in their 20-50’s were participated. The results showed that regardless ofappeal type or model type, functional information enhanced ‘communicability’, ‘reliability’, ‘favorability’ of the advertisement and ‘awareness and reliability of product’, and ‘purchasing related influence’. It implied the importance andnecessity of functional information in the functional climbing wear advertisement.When other variables were controlled, emotional appeal with human models,especially celebrity model, enhanced the advertising effects. Meanwhile, advertisement with rationalappeal and functional information resulted in better ‘favorability’ of ads even without celebritymodels.The finding from this study could be useful information for the functional clothing company to planstrategies for effective advertisement of their products.

        사용자 특성과 지각된 인식이 개인화 앱(Personalization App)의 사용 만족에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 - 안드로이드 런처 앱을 중심으로 -

        생산기술과 정보기술 발전으로 스마트기기가 보편·대중화되면서 개인화 서비스의 필요성이 대두 되었다. 그리고 최근 ICT(Information and Communications Technologies)시장에서 런처 앱(Launcher App)은 차세대 서비스 플랫폼으로서 주목받고 있다. 본 연구는 국내 개인화 앱 중 런처 앱을 이용하여 기술수용 측면에서 사용자 개인의 특성(혁신성, 적합성)과 개인화 앱에 대해 지각된 인식(유용성, 용이성, 유희성)이 사용 만족에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 규명하고자 한다. 연구 방법 및 범위로는 선행연구를 통해 기술수용모델을 바탕으로 수정 모형을 제시하고, 설문항목을 도출하였다. 런처 앱을 사용한 경험이 있는 국내 사용자를 대상으로 설문을 진행하였고 유효 표본의 245개를 수집하고 이를 통계분석 하였다. 연구결과, 사용자 적합성의 특성과 지각된 인식의 변수 모두 사용 만족에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 조사되었다. 그러므로 런처 앱 또는 유사한 개인화 서비스 개발 시 사용자별 적합성이 무엇인지 파악하고 이에 부합하는 지각된 인지 향상을 위한 인터페이스 환경 구성이 필요하다. The necessity of personalized service has increased with the service overflow caused by development of manufacturing and information technologies. Recently, Launcher App has attracted wide attention in ICT (Information and Communications Technologies) market as a next generation service platform receiving a broad attention. This research sought to investigate the relationship between user`s characteristics (innovativeness and suitability) and perceived awareness on personalized app (perceived usefulness, ease of use and pleasure) from a perspective of technology acceptance In particular, this research aimed to identify how these variables - user`s characteristics and perceived awareness - can influence user`s usage satisfaction. This paper suggested a modified model based on Technology Acceptance Model and elicited questionnaire through a literature review. Statistical analysis was conducted on 245 valid samples who have previously used using Launcher App. The result showed that suitability factor in user`s characteristics and all perceived awareness factors had a positive impact on uses`s usage satisfaction. Therefore, when developing app or similar personalized app, it is necessary to identify suitability based on the users and configure interface to enhance perceived awareness.

        온열요법으로서의 착의훈련이 고혈압 전단계자의 혈압 및 혈중 지질성분에 미치는 영향

        This study investigates the effects of wear training on blood pressure and blood lipid profiles. For the purpose of this research, ‘wear training’ refers to the alternating stimulation of temperature while using specific clothing under controlled situations (18.8±0.2℃, 38±3%RH). The participants alternated between two different garments producing a 1.5℃ difference in the innerest microclimate temperature over a period of 4 weeks. The experiments in this study were conducted in a comfortable environment after sufficient rest. The results were as follows. The systolic blood pressure and mean arterial pressure were lower in the post test than in the pre test (p<.05). The atherogenic index (AI) was also reduced and the LDL-C/HDL-C ratio increased (p<.05) in the post test. These results demonstrated that wear training positively affected improvement in vascular stiffness.

      • CLOTHING & TEXTILES : Layering Effects on Clothing Microclimate, Clothing Insulation and Physiological Responses

        This study investigated the relationship of clothingmicroclimate and physiological responses in order toexamine the layering effects on the clothing microclimate asan index to predict clothing thermal insulation (Icl).Experiments were conducted in a 15oC environment on sixphysically active males. Increased clothing layers resulted inhigher mean temperature inside the clothing (Tcl) and Icl. The Icl had a high correlation with: Tcl (r=0.556), thedifference between the innermost surface temperature andthe outermost surface temperature at the chest (DST)(r=0.549) and the temperature inside clothing at theabdomen (r=0.478). Tcl had the highest correlation withthe temperature inside clothing at the abdomen (r=0.889). Tcl also had the highest correlation with sk (r=0.860).The results showed that the relationship between Icl and Tcl was linear (p<.01). Thermal comfort had a negativecorrelation with Tcl-thigh (r=-0.411) and Tcl (r=-0.323)(p<.01.)

      • Human-Touch wearable armband development for tactile extended reality sensibility

        In this study, in the era of digital transformation, which has been accelerating since the COVID-19 Pandemic, a human-touch armband that delivers emotions through touch was developed to enable emotional interaction between users present in remote areas. To this end, a soft pneumatic actuator having nine touch surfaces was manufactured using a fabric and a silicone air pouch. Using 9 individually controlled touch surfaces, three basic touch gestures such as touch, double touch, and drag, and three emotional gestures such as patting, hug, and caressing were set, and they were implemented through programming. The developed human touch armband proposed a new possibility of human touch communication and a design as a smart wearable by delivering emotions to distant partners with tactile stimulation, and can be applied to provide tactile expansion reality required in situations where face-to-face contact is limited.

        Body Mapping of Subjectively Assessed Sweat Sensation and Thermal Comfort in Cycling Wear

        자전거 이용은 에너지 기후 시대를 맞이한 오늘날, 녹색성장의 기초방안으로 거론되고 있으며, 레저 활동 및 건강 증진의 관점에서도 주목받고 있다. 그러나 사이클 의복에 대한 온열생리반응 및 주관적 감각 측면의 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 286명의 정기적인 자전거 이용자를 대상으로 사이클링 시 주관적으로 인지되는 계절별 서열 스트레스, 발한, 불쾌감의 정도 등에 대해서 바디맵핑 기법을 적용한 설문지를 이용하여 조사하였다. 그 결과, 응답자들은 사이클 의복에 있어서 가장 불쾌감을 느끼는 측면은 땀처리 문제라고 하였다. 발한에 따른 불쾌감은 심지어 겨울에도 높았으며, 모든 계절에 있어서 사이클링 시 쾌적감 향상을 위해서는 사이클 의복의 등, 엉덩이샅, 겨드랑이, 가슴 부위의 개선이 필요한 것으로 조사되었다. 특히 겨울용 사이클 의복의 경우, 등 부위에서는 땀 배출이 효과적일 수 있도록 환기 성능(ventilation)이 고려되어야 하는 한편, 가슴 부위에서는 보온성이 요구되는 등 상반되는 두 가지 성능이 동시에 고려되어져야 하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과가 쾌적성과 발한 관리 성능을 개선한 고성능의 사이클 의복의 디자인 개발에 도움이 되기를 기대한다. In the energy-conservation era, cycling is receiving worldwide attention and enjoying increased popularity. However, comprehensive studies related to subjective and objective thermophysiological responses for cycling wear are lacking. This study was conducted to investigate subjectively the thermal burden, sweat perception, and thermal comfort of various body parts during cycling. The questionnaire consisted of questions on perceived thermal feeling, sweating sensation, and consequent discomfort of different body parts while cycling during different seasons. Korean bicyclists (n = 286) participated to the survey. The results were as follows. The respondents reported sweat management as the most uncomfortable aspect of cycling wear. The discomfort due to sweating was dominant even in winter and indicated that clothing for the back, buttocks/crotch, axilla, and chest should be improved for better comfort. For winter wear, the results suggested the need for improved back ventilation and chest insulation. The findings provide practical insight into novel product designs and the development of high-performance cycling wear for better thermophysiological comfort and sweat management.
