Manganese(III) 5-(4-carboxyphenyl)-10,15,20-triphenyl porphyrin chloride (Mn(TCPP)Cl) was grafted through amide bond on silica zeolite Y (HY), zeolite beta ($H{\beta}$) and hexagonal mesoporous silica (HMS). XRD, ICP-AES, $N_2$ physisorption, SEM, TEM, FTIR and thermal analysis were employed to analyse these novel heterogeneous materials. These silica supported catalysts were shown to be used for epoxidation and good shape selectivity was observed. The effect of support structure on catalytic performance was also discussed. The catalytic activity remained when the catalysts were recycled five times. The energy changes about epoxidation of alkenes by $NaIO_4$ and $H_2O_2$ were also computationally calculated to explain the different catalytic efficiency.

A new method is proposed to improve the accuracy of structural instantaneous frequency (IF) extraction. The proposed method combines a new form of improved generalized S-transform (IGST) and a multi-synchrosqueezing operation. The parameters selection of the window function in IGST is derived through the concentration measure (CM) principle. Then, the multi-synchrosqueezing algorithm is employed to improve energy aggregation of time-frequency analysis (TFA). To verify the effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed improved multi-synchrosqueezing generalized S-transform (IMSSGST), a frequency-modulated multi-component signal is investigated. For structural IF extraction, a two-story shear frame and a threestory steel frame structure are introduced. Furthermore, the IF identification of a seven-story RC shear wall structure is conducted to verified the practicability in actual engineering. Numerical simulation and experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively improve the energy aggregation of TFA and effectively improve the accuracy of IF identification.
Spatial Path Following Control of an Autonomous Underactuated Airship

This paper studies the spatial path following control of an autonomous underactuated airship in the presence of model uncertainties and external disturbances. Firstly, the nonlinear dynamics model, kinematics modeland path following error dynamics model are given. And the control objective is formulated. Then, an adaptivebackstepping sliding mode controller is designed. Besides, to overcome the disadvantage of dependence on theaccurate vehicle model, a nonlinear disturbance observer (NDOB) is adopted to estimate the attack and sideslip angular velocities. In addition, when backstepping technique is uesd, the complex analytic computation of commandderivative is required to be known. To handle this problem, a sliding mode differentiator is implemented to generatethe command derivatives. Finally, the closed loop stability for the system is proved using Lyapunov stability theory. Numerical simulations are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

The asymmetric reduction of ethyl acetoacetate (EAA) to ethyl (R)-3-hydroxybutyrate [(R)-EHB] using immobilized Acetobacter sp. CCTCC M209061 cells was successfully conducted in a hydrophilic ionic liquid (IL)- containing system. The best one of all the tested watermiscible ILs was 1-(hydroxyethyl)-3-methylimidazolium hydrochloride (C2OHMIM·Cl). In C2OHMIM·Cl-aqueous buffer hybrid system, it was found that the optimal IL concentration, substrate and co-substrate concentration, reaction temperature, buffer pH and shaking rate were 0.5mol/L, 45 mmol/L, 80 mmol/L, 35oC, pH 5.5 and 200 rpm, respectively. Under the optimized reaction conditions, the initial reaction rate, the yield and the product e.e. reached 4.90 μmol/min, 95.3 and > 99.0%, respectively, which were much higher than the corresponding values reported previously. The efficient biocatalytic process mediated by the immobilized cells was feasible on 500 mL preparative scale, and the biocatalysts showed good operational stability and could be recycled for at least 10 batches.

Object: To detect expression of hypoxia inducible factor-$1{\alpha}$ (HIF-$1{\alpha}$) and lysyl oxidase (LOX) in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and explore their roles in prognosis. Methods: The mRNA levels of HIF-$1{\alpha}$ and LOX were investigated by real-time reverse-transcriptase polymerase chain reaction in 40 cases of tumour and paired normal tissues. In addition, protein expression of HIF-$1{\alpha}$ and LOX was examined by immunohistochemistry in 82 cases of tumour and 45 paired normal tissues. The relationship between HIF-$1{\alpha}$ or LOX and clinicopathologic characteristics, as well as the correlation between HIF-$1{\alpha}$ and LOX, were also examined. Kaplan-Meier survival curves and the log-rank test were used to analyze progression-free survival. Results: HIF-$1{\alpha}$ or LOX mRNA levels in tumor tissues was significantly higher than those in paired normal tissues (p<0.01). Positive HIF-$1{\alpha}$ or LOX protein expression in tumor tissues was noted in 46/82 (56.1%) and 49/82 (59.8%) of the cases, respectively, being significantly higher than those in paired normal tissues (p<0.05). There was significant correlation between the expression of HIF-$1{\alpha}$ or LOX and tumor size, lymph node metastasis and pathological stage (p<0.05). The expression of HIF-$1{\alpha}$ and LOX had a significant inverse impact on survival of patients with NSCLC. Conclusion: HIF-$1{\alpha}$ and LOX may play a pivotal role in the development of NSCLC, and may act in synergy to promote the progression of NSCLC.
Three-dimensional Spatiotemporal Accessible Solitons in a PT-symmetric Potential

Utilizing the three-dimensional Snyder–Mitchell model with a PT-symmetric potential, we study the influence of PT symmetry on beam propagation in strongly nonlocal nonlinear media. The complex Coulomb potential is used as the PT-symmetric potential. A localized spatiotemporal accessible soliton solution of the model is obtained. Specific values of the modulation depth for different soliton parameters are discussed. Our results reveal that in these media the localized solitons can exist in various shapes,such as single-layer and multi-layer disk-shaped structures, as well as vortex-ring and necklace patterns.

Atomistic Modeling for Interfacial Properties of Ni-Al-V Ternary System

Interatomic potentials for Ni-Al-V ternary systems have been developed based on the second-nearest-neighbormodified embedded-atom method potential formalism. The potentials can describe various fundamentalphysical properties of the relevant materials in good agreement with experimental information. The potentialis utilized for an atomistic computation of interfacial properties of Ni-Al-V alloys. It is found that vanadiumatoms segregate on the γ-fcc/L12 interface and this segregation affects the interfacial properties. The applicabilityof the atomistic approach to an elaborate alloy design of advanced Ni-based superalloys throughthe investigation of the effect of alloying elements on interfacial properties is discussed.
Effects of Drought Stress on the Antioxidant Systems in Three Species of Diospyros L.

Drought stress is a limiting factor for plant cultivation in many areas of China and persimmon has good capacity to withstand water shortage. Three species of Diospyros (three accession of Diospyros lotus, referred to as accession No. 824, 846, and 847; one accession of Diospyros kaki var. sylvestris referred to as 869; and one accession of Diospyros virginiana referred to as 844) were chosen for drought stress analysis. We withheld water from healthy two-year-old potted seedlings for 20 days, and compared the effects of water stress on malondialdehyde (MDA), superoxide free radical (O2.-), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), antioxidative enzyme, glutathione (GSH), and ascorbic acid (AsA) levels in the leaves of the three species. In the treatment group, water stress increased the membrane lipid peroxidation in the three species, but a more significant increase was observed in the D. kaki var. sylvestris 869 than in the D. virginiana 844. Moreover, accumulation of O2.- and H2O2 was faster in weakly drought-resistant hybrids than in the highly drought- resistant hybrids. Though the activities of antioxidant enzymes and antioxidant contents were increased in the three species under drought stress, the activities of superoxide dismutase, catalase, peroxidase and ascorbate peroxidase were stimulated to a greater extent in D. virginiana 844 than in D. lotus and D. kaki var. sylvestris 869. In addition, the GSH, AsA, and relative water contents were increased significantly in D. virginiana 844, but not in D. kaki var. sylvestris 869. In the control group, no significant changes in lipid peroxidation and relevant antioxidant parameters were detected among the three species. These results indicated that changes of MDA, O2.-, and H2O2 content, antioxidative enzyme activities, and GSH and AsA concentrations were correlated to drought resistance in the different species. D. virginiana 844 had a higher antioxidation capacity in response to drought than the other two species.
