In this paper, a bidirectional non-isolated DC/DC converter for hybrid energy storage systems has been proposed. The converter is constituted by the integration of two conventional two-level topologies, with a parallel connection on their low-voltage sides (LVSs) and a series connection on their high-voltage sides (HVSs). Thus, a high-voltage gain can be achieved, along with the low-voltage stresses on power switches and capacitors. In addition, by establishing a higher charging/discharging voltage in the step-up/down mode on the inductor, the voltage gain range can be further extended. Furthermore, the operating principles, characteristics analysis, and comparisons with other converters are presented in detail. Finally, a 400 W prototype has been fabricated to further validate the feasibility and correctness of the theoretical analyses. The LVS voltage range is 20-60 V, while the HVS voltage is 200 V. The resulting voltage gain range is from 3.34 to 10. Moreover, the converter achieves high efficiency in bidirectional operations. The maximum efficiencies are 95.7% in the step-up mode and 95.9% in the step-down mode.

Wang Mingjie,Ye Pengxiang,Li Yanyan,Liu Sheng 대한전기학회 2023 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.18 No.4
Aiming at the problem of low thrust density and large thrust ripple of conventional permanent magnet linear machine, this paper proposes a novel structure of double-stator and dual-PM toroidal-winding linear vernier machine (LVM) with high thrust density and low thrust ripple. The novelty of the proposed machine is adopted double-sided topology, toroidal-winding and permanent magnets (PMs) installed both on the stator side and the mover split teeth to improve thrust density. To emphasize the specificity of proposed dual-PM LVM in aspect of electromagnetic performance, three kinds of conventional LVMs with different topologies are compared with proposed machine by analyzing the air-gap flux density, inductance, no-load EMF, thrust, overload capability and power factor of the machines. The average thrust is increased by 11.5% under rated current, and the thrust ripple is decreased from 22.1 to 2.68% by optimizing the key parameters of the proposed structure. The harmonics contribution of EMF and thrust are discussed by semi-analytical method. The results of the semi-analytical method are in good agreement with the finite element method, which verifies the correctness of the semi-analytical method and proves that the proposed machine has good performance characteristics.

왕명걸(Mingjie Wang),박덕천(Duckchun Park),주효남(Hyonam Joo),김준식(Joon-Seek Kim) 제어로봇시스템학회 2009 제어·로봇·시스템학회 논문지 Vol.15 No.9
There are many different types of surface defects on semiconductor Integrated Chips (IC’s) caused by various factors during manufacturing process, such as Scratch, Flash, Resin bleed, and Melting. These defects must be detected and classified by an inspection system for productivity improvement and effective process control. Among defects, in particular, Resin bleed and Melting are the most difficult ones to classify accurately. The brightness value and the shape of Resin bleed and Melting defects are so similar that normally it is difficult to classify the Resin bleed and Melting. In this paper, we propose a segmenting method and a set of features for detecting and classifying the Resin bleed and Melting defects.
Experimental Study on Influence Factors and Empirical Formula of K0 for Coarse Grained Soil
Mingjie Jiang,Jungao Zhu,Shengshui Chen,Xiaodong Wang,Wanli Guo 대한토목학회 2019 KSCE JOURNAL OF CIVIL ENGINEERING Vol.23 No.8
The earth pressure coefficient at rest K0 is a key mechanical parameter of soil, so studying K0 of coarse grained soil has important theoretical value and practical significance in geotechnical engineering works. To investigate the influence factors of K0 for coarse grained soil, a series of K0 compression tests for a sandy gravel and a rockfill were conducted by utilizing a newly-developed largescale K0 device. The test data show that there is a negative linear correlation between K0 and initial relative density Dr0. The data also show that the increasing vertical effective stress will decrease the K0 value, and the effect of low on the K0 is more obvious. Large-scale consolidated drained (CD) triaxial tests for soils used for K0 compression test were carried out, and according to the data of CD triaxial tests and K0 compression tests the correlation between K0 and effective internal friction angle φ′ is established. Based on the result, an empirical equation is presented. This equation can be used to predict the K0 value of the coarse grained soil under a random consolidation condition and stress condition according to the value of φ′. Furthermore, this empirical formula is verified by K0 compression tested data.

Background: Coffin-Siris syndrome (CSS) is a rare congenital syndrome characterized by developmental delay, intellectual disability, microcephaly, coarse face and hypoplastic nail of the fifth digits. Heterozygous variants of different BAF complex-related genes were reported to cause CSS, including ARID1A and SMARCA4. So far, no CSS patients with ARID1A and SMARCA4 variants have been reported in China. Objective: The aim of the current study was to identify the causes of two Chinese patients with congenital growth deficiency and intellectual disability. Methods: Genomic DNA was extracted from the peripheral venous blood of patients and their family members. Genetic analysis included whole-exome and Sanger sequencing. Pathogenicity assessments of variants were performed according to the guideline of the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics. The phenotypic characteristics of all CSS subtypes were summarized through literature review. Results: We identified two Chinese CSS patients carrying novel variants of ARID1A and SMARCA4 respectively. The cases presented most core symptoms of CSS except for the digits involvement. Additionally, we performed a review of the phenotypic characteristics in CSS, highlighting phenotypic varieties and related potential causes. Conclusions: We reported the first Chinese CSS2 and CSS4 patients with novel variants of ARID1A and SMARCA4. Our study expanded the genetic and phenotypic spectrum of CSS, providing a comprehensive overview of genotype-phenotype correlations of CSS.
The synthesis of MDMO-PPV capped PbS nanorods and their application in solar cells
Zhijie Wang,Shengchun Qu,Xiangbo Zeng,Junpeng Liu,Changsha Zhang,Mingji Shi,Furui Tan,Zhanguo Wang 한국물리학회 2009 Current Applied Physics Vol.9 No.5
Poly[2-methoxy-5-(3',7'-dimethyloctyloxy)-1,4-phenylenevinylene] (MDMO-PPV) capped PbS nanorods about 100 nm in diameter and 400 nm in length were synthesized via a hydrothermal route in toluene and dimethylsulfoxide solution. By blending the PbS nanorods with the MDMO-PPV as the active layer, bulk heterojunction solar cells with an indium tin oxide (ITO)/polyethylenedioxythiophene/polystyrenesulphonate (PEDOT: PSS)/MDMO-PPV: PbS nanorods/Al structure were fabricated in a N2 filled glove box. Current density–voltage characterization of the devices showed that the solar cells with PbS nanorods hybrid with MDMO-PPV as active layer were better in performance than the devices with the polymer only.
An Improved BER-Optimal Relay Selection Scheme for Decode-and-Forward Cooperative Networks
Yuhui Han,Mingji Yang,Aili Wang 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Future Generation Communi Vol.8 No.1
We are concerned with the relay selection in a decode-and-forward cooperative network to minimize the bit error rate (BER) in a radio cell. This problem can be solved using maximum weighted (MW) matching algorithm, greedy matching algorithm or worst-link-first (WLF) matching algorithm. Among the algorithms, WLF matching algorithm has achieved much attention for its being less complex while the achieved performance is high. In order to further reduce the computational complexity, we propose an improved WLF relay selection scheme, in which relays are selected according to instantaneous channel state information (CSI) and a cooperative threshold is set up to eliminate some unsatisfying candidate relays from the set of alternative candidate relays and thus reduce the amount of calculation. Theory analysis and simulation results both show that the improved WLF relay selection scheme proposed can be easily implemented and achieve almost the same BER performance as that of WLF scheme while the computational complexity is much lower.

Background: Previous studies have shown the insecticidal efficacy of ginsenosides. In the present study, we aimed to investigate the metabolic mechanism related to the inhibitory effect of panaxadiol saponins (PDSs) against the Asian corn borer Ostrinia furnacalis (Guenee). Methods: Third instar larvae of O. furnacalis were fed normal diets with different concentrations of PDSs for 4 days. The consumption index, relative growth rate, approximate digestibility, and conversion of ingested and digested food were recorded. A targeted gas chromatographye-mass spectrometry assay was performed to detect the profiles of amino acids, fatty acids, and carbohydrates in larvae of O. furnacalis. In addition, the activity of detoxification-related enzymes was determined. Results and Conclusions: PDSs decreased the consumption index, relative growth rate, approximate digestibility, and conversion of ingested and digested food in the 3rd instar larvae of O. furnacalis in a dose-dependent manner. PDSs decreased 15 free amino acids, 16 free fatty acids, and 5 carbohydrates and increased the levels of palmitoleic acid, palmitic acid, and 9-octadecenoic acid in the 3rd instar larvae. The activity of detoxification-related enzymes, such as acetylcholinesterase, glutathione S-transferase, cytochrome P450, carboxylesterase, trehalase, acid phosphatase, and alkaline phosphatase, was reduced in a dose-dependent manner in the 3rd instar larvae exposed to PDSs. These data confirmed the inhibitory effect of PDSs against growth, food utilization, and detoxification in the 3rd instar larvae of O. furnacalis and the potential for using PDSs as an efficient tool for insect pest management for O. furnacalis larvae.
