        Analysis of International Research Trends on Metaverse

        This study attempted to explore the realization and research direction of a successful metaverse environment in the future by analyzing international research trends of the metaverse using topic modeling. A total of 208 papers among WoS and ScienceDirect papers using metaverse as keywords were selected, and quantitative frequency analysis and topic modeling were performed. As a result, it was confirmed that research has rapidly increased after 2022. The main keywords of the research topics were ‘second’, ‘life’, ‘learning’, ‘reality’, ‘metaverse’, ‘virtual’, ‘blockchain’, ‘nft’, ‘medical’, ‘avatar’, etc. The topic keywords ‘Second life & Education’ and ‘Virtual Reality & Medical’ accounted for a large proportion of 57%, followed by ‘Blockchain & Cryptocurrency’, ‘Avatar & Interaction’, and ‘Sensing and Device’. As a result of semantic analysis, current metaverse research is focused on application and utilization, and research on underlying technologies and devices is also active. Therefore, it is necessary to identify the commonalities and differences between domestic and foreign studies, and to study the application method considering the domestic environment. In addition, new jurisprudence research is more necessary along with predicting new problems. It is expected that the results of study will provide the right research direction for domestic researchers in the era of digital transformation and contribute to the realization of a digital society.

        Technical Protection Measures for Personal Information in Each Processing Phase in the Korean Public Sector

        Personal information (hereinafter referred to as “PI”) infringement has recently emerged as a serious social problem in Korea. PI infringement in the public and private sector is common. There were 182,666 cases of PI in 2,624 public organizations during the last three years. Online infringement cases have increased. PI leakage causes moral and economic damage and is an impediment to public confidence in public organizations seeking to manage e-government and maintain open and aboveboard administration. Thus, it is an important matter. Most cases of PI leakage result from unsatisfactory management of security, errors in home page design and insufficient system protection management. Protection management, such as encryption or management of access logs should be reinforced urgently. However, it is difficult to comprehend the scope of practical technology management satisfied legislation and regulations. Substantial protective countermeasures, such as access control, certification, log management and encryption need to be established. It is hard to deal with the massive leakage of PI and its security management. Therefore, in this study, we analyzed the conditions for the technical protection measures during the processing phase of PI. In addition, we classified the standard control items of protective measures suited to public circumstances. Therefore, this study provides a standard and checklist by which staff in public organizations can protect PI via technical management activities appropriate to laws and ordinances. In addition, this can lead to more detailed and clearer instructions on how to carry out technical protection measures and to evaluate the current status.

        잊힐 권리에 관한 연구동향 분석

        본 연구의 목적은 국내 잊힐 권리 연구의 동향을 분석함으로써 관련 분야의 올바른 연구 방향을 제시하는데 있다. 잊힐 권리는 개인정보삭제청구권, 망각권 또는 개인정보자기결정권과 같은 권리와 함께 사회과학분야에서 연구하거나 디지털소멸이나 정보삭제와 같은 기술(서비스)과 함께 공학분야에서도 연구된 바 있다. 따라서 다양한 학문의 연구논문을 검색하여 최종 80편을 연구대상으로 선정하고 7개 분석기준과 3개 연구문제를 설정하여 분석하였다. 그 결과, EU규칙(안)이 공표된 2012년을 기점으로 사회과학분야를 중심으로 한 연구량이 현저히 증가하고, 문제탐색을 중심으로 법학중심의 연구가 문헌조사나 법제연구방법을 통해 활발히 수행되었음을 알 수 있다. 시간이 흐를수록 보호대상과 권리충돌 주제의 심화연구 또한 증가하였다. 잊힐 권리가 빅데이터, 디지털정보 등의 다양하고 복합적 이슈임을 고려할 때 잊힐 권리의 구현을 지원하는 기술(서비스)이나 실현범위 및 방법과 함께 심도 있는 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구는 국내를 대상으로 한 한계가 있으나 향후 국외 비교분석과 함께 본 연구결과는 효율적인 잊힐 권리의 연구 방향을 제시하는데 중요한 이정표가 될 것으로 기대한다. The purpose of this study is to present the correct direction of research in related fields by analyzing the trends in the domestic study right to be forgotten. In this study, the final selection of 80 pieces of research papers in various disciplines to search for the study and were analyzed by setting the seven criteria and three research questions. Results, notice that significantly increase the amount of research around the social sciences, starting with the EU rules(draft) has been published in 2012, and around the problem navigating the Law oriented research actively done through a literature review and legal research methods can. Intensive study of the protected rights and the conflict in time towards the latter subject was also increased. The right to be forgotten when considering that big data, digital information such diverse and complex technical issues (service), which still lacks support the implementation of the rights ithil research is desperately needed to know the future with the realization that the scope and research methods. The purpose of this study is to present the research direction of the limits intended for domestic research, but realize effective right to be forgotten by future foreign comparative analysis.

      • 기술적 위험분석 결과를 활용한 IDS 평가방법에 관한 연구

        현재 침입탐지시스템(IDS:Intrusion Detection System)은 다양한 평가요소들 - 탐지율, 오탐율, 새로운 공격탐지능력, 안정성 등을 기준으로 평가되고 있고, 이러한 결과는 제품의 보호수준을 결정하거나 한 조직의 정보보호장치로 적합한지를 평가하는 벤치마킹테스트의 방법으로 활용된다. 그러나, 이러한 평가의 결과는 조직의 침입탐지시스템을 구축하고자 하는 네트워크 환경하에서 각각의 침입탐지시스템이 갖는 특성에 따라 상대적인 평가는 가능하나 해당 조직의 네트워크 인프라와 위협요소, 취약점을 고려했을 때 보다 최적의 것이 무엇인지를 평가하는 방법으로는 한계가 있다. 그러므로, 본 연구논문에서는 이러한 한계를 극복하기 위한 방법으로서 조직의 정보보호 위험분석에서 도출된 해당 네트워크 환경의 자산, 위협, 취약성의 결과인 위험과 위험수준을 IDS 평가에 반영하여 조직의 환경하에 보다 적합한 침입탐지시스템 선정이 가능한 평가방법을 제안한다.

        Vaccinium angustifolium Root Extract Suppresses FcεRI Expression in Human Basophilic KU812F Cells.

        Vaccinium angustifolium, commonly known as the lowbush blueberry, is a rich source of flavonoids, with which various human physiological activities have been associated. The present study focuses on the investigation of the effect of the methanolic extract of V. angustifolium root extract (VAE) on high affinity immunoglobulin E receptor ($Fc{\varepsilon}RI$) ${\alpha}$ chain antibody (CRA-1)-induced allergic reaction in human basophilic KU812F cells. The total phenolic content of VAE was found to be $170{\pm}1.9mg$ gallic acid equivalents/g. Flow cytometry analysis revealed that the cell surface expression of $Fc{\varepsilon}RI$ was suppressed in a concentration-dependent manner upon culture with VAE. Reverse-transcriptase polymerase chain reaction analysis showed that the mRNA level of the $Fc{\varepsilon}RI$ ${\alpha}$ chain was reduced in a concentration-dependent manner as a result of VAE treatment. Western blot analysis revealed that the protein expression of $Fc{\varepsilon}RI$ and the phosphorylation of extracellular signal-regulated kinases (ERK) 1/2 were concentration-dependently inhibited by VAE. We determined that VAE inhibited anti-CRA-1-induced histamine release, in addition to the elevation of intracellular calcium concentration ([$Ca^{2+}$]i), in a concentration-dependent manner. These results indicate that VAE may exert an anti-allergic effect via the inhibition of calcium influx and histamine release, which occurs as a result of the down-regulation of $Fc{\varepsilon}RI$ expression through inhibition of ERK 1/2 activation.

      • Anti-inflammatory activity of mulberrofuran K isolated from the bark of <i>Morus bombycis</i>

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P> <I>Morus bombycis</I> Koidzumi, commonly known as silkworm mulberry, is a plant belonging to family Moraceae. It has been used in Asian countries as a traditional medicine for treating hypertension, diabetes, and inflammatory disorders. In this study, we isolated eleven compounds from the cortex of <I>M. bombycis</I> and evaluated their inhibitory effects on nitric oxide (NO) production as an indicator of their anti-inflammatory activities using lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated murine macrophages. Compound <B>4</B> showed the most potent inhibitory activity on NO production. It was identified as mulberrofuran K (MFK). Anti-inflammatory activity of MFK was then carried out using LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 cells. MFK suppressed the production of NO, reactive oxygen species (ROS), and proinflammatory cytokines (interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-6 and tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α)) in a concentration-dependent manner. Western blot analysis revealed that MFK treatment inhibited expression levels of inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2). MFK also inhibited transcriptional activation of nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) and extracellular-regulated kinases (ERK) 1/2 in LPS-stimulated murine macrophages. These results suggest that MFK, an anti-inflammatory constituents of <I>M. bombycis</I> cortex, has potential as a therapeutic candidates for preventing and treating inflammatory diseases.</P>
