To rapidly estimate pine sawyer, Monochamus alternatus Hope, population densities in forests, the vertical distributions of M. alternatus oviposition sites and larvae on infested Masson pines (Pinus massoniana Lamb.) were studied. Results showed that the number of oviposition sites on sections of trunks between 0 and 2 m above ground was significantly greater than on sections of trunk above 2 m, and the vertical distribution had a significant logarithmic relationship with trunk height. The larval number of M. alternatus on dead infested trees had a significant difference among heights of trunks. Sections on trunks at 2–4 m usually contained the largest number of M. alternatus larvae, while the number of larvae on trunks above 10 m declined significantly, as well as in the 1 m section of trunk at the base. The vertical distribution of M. alternatus larvae on dead infested pines showed a distinct parabolic relationship with trunk height. The number of oviposition sites of M. alternatus on infested Masson pine trunks revealed a significant exponential relationship with the diameter at breast height (DBH) of trees. A significant positive linear relationship also was observed between M. alternatus larval number and DBH on the host pine trees, as well as between the numbers of larvae and oviposition sites on an individual tree. The total number of larvae in an infested tree could be calculated easily using an established equation, through counting the number of oviposition sites at 3–4 m of trunk aboveground. This study developed a practical method for rapid estimation of M. alternatus populations.
Tunable UV-visible absorption of SnS2layered quantum dots produced by liquid phase exfoliation

<P>4H-SnS2 layered crystals synthesized by a hydrothermal method were used to obtain via liquid phase exfoliation quantum dots (QDs), consisting of a single layer (SLQDs) or multiple layers (MLQDs). Systematic downshift of the peaks in the Raman spectra of crystals with a decrease in size was observed. The bandgap of layered QDs, estimated by UV-visible absorption spectroscopy and the tunneling current measurements using graphene probes, increases from 2.25 eV to 3.50 eV with decreasing size. 2-4 nm SLQDs, which are transparent in the visible region, show selective absorption and photosensitivity at wavelengths in the ultraviolet region of the spectrum while larger MLQDs (5-90 nm) exhibit a broad band absorption in the visible spectral region and the photoresponse under white light. The results show that the layered quantum dots obtained by liquid phase exfoliation exhibit wellcontrolled and regulated bandgap absorption in a wide tunable wavelength range. These novel layered quantum dots prepared using an inexpensive method of exfoliation and deposition from solution onto various substrates at room temperature can be used to create highly efficient visible-blind ultraviolet photodetectors and multiple bandgap solar cells.</P>
Very Thin Poly-SiC Films for Micro/Nano Devices

<P>We report characterization of nitrogen-doped, very thin, low-stress polycrystalline silicon carbide (poly-SiC) films suitable for fabricating micro/nano devices. The poly-SiC films are deposited on 100 mm-diameter (100) silicon wafers in a large-scale, hot-wall, horizontal LPCVD furnace using SiH2Cl2 and C2H2 as precursors and NH3 as doping gas. The deposition temperature and pressure are fixed at 900 °C and 4 Torr, respectively. The deposition rate increases substantially in the first 50 minutes, transitioning to a limiting value thereafter. The deposited films exhibit (111)-orientated polycrystalline 3C-SiC texture. HR-TEM indicates a 1 nm to 4 nm amorphous SiC layer at the SiC/silicon interface. The residual stress and the resistivity of the films are found to be thickness dependent in the range of 100 nm to 1 <I>μ</I>m. Films with thickness less than 100 nm suffer from voids or pinholes. Films thicker than 100 nm are shown to be suitable for fabricating micro/nano devices.</P>
Research on Color Design of Children's Hospital under Visual Effect

At present, children's medical treatment is facing the transformation from traditional biomedical model to biological, psychological and social medical model. For children, the environmental color of the hospital should give full play to the visual and psychological effects according to the children's physiological and psychological characteristics, and at the same time pay attention to the healing effect of color itself, which will definitely play a certain role in improving the medical environment and promoting the early recovery of sick children <sup>[1]</sup>.This paper takes the color of children's medical environment's space environment as the research object, combining the visual effect of color, color psychology and color use technology to explore. On the basis of analyzing the excellent examples of environmental color design in children's hospitals at home and abroad, and integrating the recent situation and previous research data of environmental color design in children's hospitals in China in recent years, this paper makes relevant analysis on the environmental color of children's hospitals at present, puts forward the problems needing attention in color design under the current situation of children's hospitals in China, and puts forward the corresponding design ideas and methods.

Objective: to investigate the effect and side effects of recombinant human interleukin - 11 (rhIL - 11, in Chinese Juheli, produced by Qi Lu Biotechnology CO., LTD) in the second prevention of chemotherapy induced thrombocytopenia (CIT). Methods: Cancer patients with CIT were recruited and were treated with rhIL - 11 (treatment phase, TP), and in the following cycle, all these patients administered with rhIL - 11 24 hours immediately after chemotherapy (preventive treatment phase, PTP). Duration and severity of thrombocytopenia between two phases were compared. Results: for patients in TP or PTP, nadir values of platelet were ($29.28{\pm}20.08){\times}10^9/L$ and ($45.24{\pm}19.66){\times}10^9/L$, duration of thrombocytopenia in TP and PTP was ($11.52{\pm}4.33$) and ($8.20{\pm}+2.77$)days, recovery time was ($19.40{\pm}3.89$)and ($13.44{\pm}3.02$)days, duration of rhIL - 11 administration was ($10.68{\pm}2.46$)and ($6.28{\pm}1.77$)days, number of patients needing platelet infusion was 16and4 respectively, all differences were statistically significant (p value were 0.007, 0.002, 0.000, 0.000, 0.034 respectively). For TP and PTP, number of patients with hemorrhage was 8 and 4, duration of bleeding was ($5.00{\pm}0.82$) and ($4.50{\pm}0.71$) days respectively, with no statistically significant difference. Adverse reactions mainly included fever, edema, arrhythmia, joint pain, fatigue, skin rash, headache, dizziness, etc., all were not statistically significant between TP and PTP. Conclusion: rhIL - 11 could be well tolerated and is effective that could reduce the duration, severity of CIT, platelet transfusion, and incidence of bleeding, as well as shorten the recovery time, duration of rhIL - 11 administration. Thus, rhIL - 11 could be commended in the second prevention of CIT for patients with cancer.
