        The purpose of this study was to examine the trend of competing values leadership on archery coaches and find out the advantage and disadvantage point of personal leadership pattern compared with a desirable and undesirable leadership profile. Measuring instrument were used Coach's Competing Values Leadership Scale developed by Kim and data were collected for 18 coaches and 70 athletes. In order to analyize the trend of leadership pattern, data were translated into Z-score according to the role's factor. The study can be summarized as the followings : 1) Goal Setter/Director role was higher and Broker role lower in the leadership profile by self-assessment. 2) Leadership profile by athletes was a desirable pattern. 3) There were a difference between leadership profile by self-assessment and athletes.

        Volatile Sulfur Compounds as a Predictor for Esophagogastroduodenal Mucosal Injury

        Background/Aims: Halitosis is a symptom that bothers patients more socially than medically and its pathogenic mechanisms are unclear and treatment armamenterium is limited. Clinicians generally ignored active interventions. Since halitosis is closely associated with volatile sulfur compounds (VSCs), we used a Halimeter and gas chromatography to measure VSCs in patients with Helicobacter-pylori (H. pylori)- associated gastric diseases. Methods: We categorized 72 patients with H. pylori infection into two groups based on their endoscopic findings: a nonerosive mucosal group (NE, n=24) and an erosive mucosal group (E, n=48). Halitosis was objectively assessed by applying either a Halimeter to breath air or gas chromatography to gastric juice. Simultaneously, the expression of VSC-generating enzyme was measured with reverse-transcriptase PCR using mRNA isolated from biopsy tissues. Results: The levels of VSCs in exhaled breaths or aspirated gastric juices differed significantly between the NE and E groups (p<0.00001), suggesting that VSCs might reflect eroded epithelial damage induced by H. pylori infection. The expressions of cystathionine β-synthase (CBS) and cystathionine γ-lyase (CSE) were broadly consistent with the degree of mucosal injury. Conclusions: Erosive changes in esophagogastroduodenal mucosa were strongly correlated with increased VSC levels, suggesting that halitosis might result from H. pylori- associated erosive lesions.

      • Analyzing the sharing conditions between HAPS ground stations and FSS receiver

        ITU-R 은 긴급사안으로 결의 122를 통하여 47.2-47.5 GHz 및 47.9-48.2 GHz 대역에서 HAPS 지구국이 우주국 수신기와의 공유를 원활하게 하기 위해서 적용 가능한 전력 제한치를 연구할 것을 요청하였다. 하지만 현재까지 이것과 관련된 연구는 진행되지 않은 상태이다. 이미 개발된 권고서 ITU-R SF.1481-1를 통하여 HAPS 를 이용한 FS 시스템과 FSS 시스템간의 공유 가능성을 분석하기 위한 방법과 시스템특성 파라미터가 제시되었으며, 위 주파수 대역에서 일반적인 HAPS 에 대한 시스템 특성에 관하여 권고서 ITU-RF.1500에 또한 제시되었다. 본 논문에서는 결의 122 에 따라서 HAPS 지상국에 적용 가능한 전력 제한치에 대한 결과를 제시한다. 이미 권고서 ITU-R SF.1481-1 에 언급되었듯이 HAPS 지상국과 FSS 위성시스템간의 공유를 위해서는 충분한 이격거리가 필요하다. FSS 위성수신기로의 이러한 간섭레벨을 줄이기 위해서 HAPS 지상국의 전력 감소와 낮은 부엽레벨을 갖는 안테나 빔패턴의 적용을 고려하여 분석된 공유조건 결과들의 예들을 제시한다. Under Resolution 122 (Rev. WRC-03), ITU-R is invited to study, as a matter of urgency, power limitations applicable for HAPS ground stations to facilitate sharing with space station receivers in the bands 47.2-47.5 GHz and 47.9-48.2 GHz. However, there have been no studies on this issue. Recommendation ITU-R SF. 1481-1, which was developed during past study period, provides methodology and system characteristics for analyzing the sharing feasibility between systems in the FS using HAPS and systems in the FSS. System characteristics for a typical HAPS in the bands above are also given in Recommendation ITU-R F. 1500. This paper provides the results on power limitations applicable for HAPS ground stations in accordance with Resolution 122 (Rev. WRC-03). As already shown in Recommendation ITU-R SF.1481-1, the results show that a sufficient separation distance is required for sharing between HAPS ground stations and FSS satellite systems. We obtain some examples of the sharing conditions considering reducing the power level of HAPS ground stations and using the antenna beam pattern with the low sidelobe to decrease the interference level affecting FSS satellite receiver.

        최근 딥러닝과 신경망 기술을 바탕으로 한 다양한 번역 시스템이 상용화되고 있다. 그러나 문맥을 고려해야하는 경우나 의료, 법학 등 전문적인 지식을 요구하는 경우, 기존의 번역 시스템으로는 원문 작성자가 의도한 대로 자연스러운 번역 결과물을 얻기 어려운 문제점이 있다. 이로 인해 전문적인 지식을 요구하는 문서는 전문 번역 기관에 의뢰하여 번역이 이루어지고 있으며 소비자의 입장에서는 업체로부터 받은 번역물을 평가 과정 없이 사용할 수밖에 없는 상황이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 사람이 직접 번역한 결과물을 사용자가 가진 번역 신뢰 점수를 반영하여 평가함으로써 양질의 결과물을 도출하고 번역 활동 기여도에 따라 암호화폐로 보상금을 지급하는 블록체인 기반 보상형 공동 번역 모델을 제안한다. 다수의 번역 평가자들로부터 높은 점수를 받은 우수한 번역 결과물을 도출하고, 번역글 평가에 사용되는 사용자별 신뢰도 점수를 블록체인에 저장하여 조작을 방지함으로써 믿을 수 있는 번역 생태계를 조성할 것으로 기대한다.

        복합 항암 화학요법 후 HBsAg 양성 악성림프종환자의 임상경과

        Objectives: Infection and replication of the hepatitis B virus are closely related to the host imm- unity. Anticancer chemotherapy decreases the immune response of the host, Especially, glucocorticoid can activate the replication of hepatitis B virus directly. It is well known that hepatitis B virus infection and hepatic complications are more common in patients with hematologic malignancies like malignant lymphoma. We studied the incidence of hepatitis B virus infection and hepatic complications following anti- cancer chemotherapy in patients with malignant lymphoma. Methods: Among 224 cases diagnosed as malignant lymphoma from January 1989 to December 1993 at Yonsei University Medical Center, 77 cases tested for hepatitis B virus serology was studied. Results: 1) Eighteen cases (23%) was HBsAg positive. 2) The results of hepatitis C virus serology in six cases were all negative. 3) Eight (57%) of 14 follow-up cases had hepatic complications, Two patients had fulminant hepatitis, two nonicteric hepatitis and four icteric hepatitis. 4) Interferon-alpha was administered in three cases among the patients with hepatic complications. Loss of HBeAg was observed in one case and loss of HBsAg in another case. Conclusion: Serious hepatic complications can be occurred following anticancer chemotherapy in HBsAg-positive patients with malignant lymphoma. Therefore, we recommend that patients being considered as candidates for anticancer chemotherapy should routinely undergo serologic test for Hepatitis B virus. In addition HBsAg-positive patients with anticancer chemotherapy should be regularly monitored for hepatic injury. And with the careful use of steroid and interferon, prolongation of survival might be searched for these patients.

        Comparison of anti-influenza virus activity and pharmacokinetics of oseltamivir free base and oseltamivir phosphate

        <P>Influenza viruses are major human respiratory pathogens that cause high morbidity and mortality worldwide. Currently, prophylactic vaccines and therapeutic antiviral agents are used to prevent and control influenza virus infection. Oseltamivir free base (OSV-FB), a modified generic antiviral drug of Tamiflu (oseltamivir phosphate, OSV-P), was launched in the Republic of Korea last year. Here, we examine the bioequivalence of these two compounds by assessing their antiviral efficacy in infected cells and in a mouse model. It was observed that both antivirals showed comparable efficacy against 11 different influenza A and B viruses in vitro. Moreover, in mice infected with influenza A virus (mouse-adapted A/Puerto Rico/8/34), they showed a dose-dependent therapeutic activity and alleviated infection-mediated reductions in body weight, leading to significantly better survival. There was histopathological disappearance of virus-induced inflammatory cell infiltration of the lung after oral treatment with either antiviral agent (at 10 mg/kg). Pharmacokinetic analysis also exhibited similar plasma concentrations of the active drug, oseltamivir carboxylate, metabolised from both OSV-B and OSV-P. This is the first report showing bioequivalence of OSV-FB to its phosphate salt form in the mouse system. The free base drug has some beneficial points including simple drug formulation process and reduced risk of undesirable cation-phosphate precipitation within solution. The long term stability of OSV-FB requires further monitoring when it is provided as a national stock in readiness for an influenza pandemic.</P>

        Increased Pro-Inflammatory T Cells, Senescent T Cells, and Immune-Check Point Molecules in the Placentas of Patients With Gestational Diabetes Mellitus

        Background: Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is the most common metabolic complication of pregnancy. To define the altered pathway in GDM placenta, we investigated the transcriptomic profiles from human placenta between GDM and controls. Methods: Clinical parameters and postpartum complications were reviewed in all participants. Differentially expressed canonical pathways were analyzed between the GDM and control groups based on transcriptomic analysis. CD4+ T, CD8+ T, and senescent T cell subsets were determined by flow cytometry based on staining for specific intracellular cytokines. Results: Gene ontology analysis revealed that the placenta of GDM revealed upregulation of diverse mitochondria or DNA replication related pathways and downregulation of T-cell immunity related pathways. The maternal placenta of the GDM group had a higher proportion of CD4+ T and CD8+ T cells than the control group. Interestingly, senescent CD4+ T cells tended to increase and CD8+ T cells were significantly increased in GDM compared to controls, along with increased programmed cell death-1 (CD274+ ) expression. Programmed death-ligand 1 expression in syncytotrophoblasts was also significantly increased in patients with GDM. Conclusion: This study demonstrated increased proinflammatory T cells, senescent T cells and immune-check point molecules in GDM placentas, suggesting that changes in senescent T cells and immune-escape signaling might be related to the pathophysiology of GDM.
