Krumboltz의 우연학습이론을 배경으로 한 과제접근기술, 진로정체감, 진로장벽, 진로성숙도간의 관계 = The Relationships between Task-approach Skills, Career Identity, Career Barriers, and Career Maturity

The current study examined the relationships between task-approach skills, career identity, career barriers, and career maturity. The task-approach skills included optimism, flexibility, and tolerance of uncertainty based on the happenstance learning theory(Mitchell, Levin, & Krumboltz, 1999). In particular, the study first explored the relationships between the task approach skills and career maturity. Then, the study verified the mediating effects of career identity and career barriers on the relationships between the task approach skills and career maturity. Data was collected from two-hundered sixty nine college students who matriculated in colleges located in Seoul, and Gyeounggi and Chungchung provinces, Korea. The results showed that optimism and tolerance of uncertainty except for flexibility were significantly correlated with career maturity. In addition, career identity and career barriers mediated the reationships of optimism and tolerance of uncertainty with career maturity. These results implied that career counselors need to assist clients develop optimistic attitudes about career decision-making and improve tolerance of uncertain world of job. Moreover, career counselors are suggested to examine clients' career identity and beliefs of career barriers to increase level of career maturity. Further discussions regarding results are included.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 Krumboltz의 우연학습이론에서 제시한 과제접근기술 중 낙관성, 유연성, 불확실성에 대한 인내가 진로성숙도에 미치는 영향에 대해서 살펴보았다. 또한 진로정체감, 진로장벽에 대한 인식이 과제접근기술과 진로성숙도와의 관계를 매개하는지 탐색하였다. 연구의 대상은 서울, 경기, 충청지역 대학에 재학 중인 269명의 대학생이었으며, 임의표집을 통하여 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구결과에 따르면, 낙관성과 불확실성에 대한 인내는 모두 진로성숙도를 유의미하게 설명하는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 낙관성과 불확실성에 대한 인내가 높을수록 진로성숙도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 기존의 연구결과와는 다르게 유연성은 진로성숙도와 유의미한 관계가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 매개효과에 대한 검증에서는 진로정체감과 진로장벽에 대한 인식이 과제접근기술 중 낙관성과 불확실성에 대한 인내와 진로성숙도와의 관계를 유의미하게 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 유연성과 진로성숙도와의 관계에 대해서는 매개효과가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 진로발달에서 낙관성과 불확실성에 대한 인내의 중요성을 보여주었으며, 진로상담에서 내담자의 진로정체감과 진로장벽에 대한 인식을 새롭게 할 필요성을 제시하고 있다. 이밖에도 본 연구에서는 연구결과의 의미와 제한점에 대해서 논의하였다.
